Aggressive PMing? Would you like me to post it? I mean, I didn't think I was being aggressive, but if you want I can bring it up.

It really was. I particularly found the line, "So please, before you start your- what, third thread? Before you once again repost your opening bit, just take some time to reflect on what you want out of it," to create a particular sour taste in my mouth.

As Jerkchicken has reinforced, I don't think your participation is going to work with the currently created dispute about something that has been accepted and only commented on as not necessarily being the most effective weapon.
Based off of the rather aggressive PMing I've gotten from Parser, I'm thinking your group may not be a particularly good fit for this thread. I appreciate your interest, but given the exchange, I don't see this working particularly well. I'm not appreciating the continued aggression.

I'm looking for something more on the edge of High-Casual, which does address these specific details.

I do think it is rather silly that commentary that your weapon wouldn't be effective in the currently established tech is causing so much contention. Especially consider adopting simply the text identifying it as an EDB would have remedied this. I'm flexible in customization and incorporation of different technologies, providing they have some kind of rationale basis/explanation, but generic sword for a mech isn't going to 'cut' it as effective on this thread.

This is likely my fault for not providing a good example of a customized kensai for people to base their work off of, but I've currently been busy with some things in real life, as well as other projects so I haven't had time to do my personal customized kensai.

Alright so I return and skimming the last two pages it seems Pirates as a concept are fine. With the only point of convention having you guys stickling on about this technology hierarchy thing that apparently is for this vague and unexplained combat adjudication. Which is honestly unnecessarily byzantine for the genre conventions and tone; as well as being better served using an actual game system where you can actually quantify the tech differences and make them mechanically distinct. If you're just wanting a way to fairly decide for who hits who flipping a coin or maybe rolling dice and see which number is bigger, or some sort power plot point expenditure thing would be faster and much more simpler methods. And if you want something a bit more complex than that then you could slap Wushu Open on this just fine.

You are fine to use your weapon. Just don't expect it to be the most effective. We've just pointed out that currently designed weapon techs (which incorporate what is essentially a high energy laser along the edge of the blade) are going to cleave through your weapon without expansion of the definition of what exactly it is.

I'm more than capable of making battle determinations from a more logical standpoint than dice or coins. That isn't how I've ever done combat on any thread, nor do I plan to start. I don't feel I need a system either. I have the information I need now to make decisions on this matter.
Aumari - Male - Level 20

It is a common/semi-uncommon Natrelmon.

You didn't get anything from the library sadly.
Masaki I believe it is your post in the chain for you and Gecko to get to Kyoku.
Xzayler, shall I do your rolls?

Toran Forest okay again?

I'm heading to sleep can we continue this later today?

This would be most wise. It is very late and I think people's posts are coming across as more aggressive than intended, and maybe actually a bit more short than they realize as well. Any points that need to be cleared up later can be.
You would be correct on the generalized intention. There is probably a touch of blurring between it, but it is designed to have a bit more of a realism element instead of the latter.

It's not "disdainful to the mythos". It was just a rad rule of cool type idea that felt suitably appropriate for the genre tone and setting. Also I don't know if it's because it's like 3 AM where I'm at. But I'd really like to know you're reasons as to why this tech hierarchy with the mechs is that important for your guys. Because honestly this focusing on statistics would be more appropriate to like tabletop game. Plus it's not like in the mech anime this stuff is ever actually relevant outside of like stuff being posted on the back of the toys or like little factoids in supplementary material for fans.

There wouldn't be any change in how it looks one bit, so that is where I am really missing the issue going on here. If you have a different kind of system you want to design for the sword, just be specific with it. A regular piece of metal wouldn't be that effective against most kensai here, especially against the strong Faction leader level kensai.

The tech hierarchy matters should I need to make any kind of ruling on mech combat. Since they are designed for combat, I generally assume this will happen at some point.

EDIT: It is also late for me and I am tired as well.
The bios so far are fine taking into account the previous discussion.

While I strongly advise commenting on utilizing some adaptation of the EDB sytem that has been established as a part of the world, it is just a suggestion solely to ensure effectiveness of the weapon.
