When your internet is out, you ponder why you spend so much time on it. When it comes back again, you ignore any deep, profound discoveries you make about it taking up time and go right back to it.

In any case, why does it matter to you how everyone labels you when it's really only your actions being judged?

Other people’s views of you matter a lot.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

Isn't "being in your right mind" totally a function of what we as a collective consider normal?

You can look at it that way. I just deem it as having logical flow of thoughts and actions. As opposed to, you know, taking pleasure in actively self-harmful things and/or being an absolute loose cannon purely for the sake of it.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

You seem really resistant to being considered a bad guy sometimes.

Only crazy people love that. Who in their right mind actually likes it?
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

*Sighs*
Do all villains see life like that?

And that’s how we write it off, hmm. I’m simply offering you the insight.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

That's not my point. It's that relative to how big everything is, our lives don't mean all that much more.

No. But there is a bottom of the barrel.
*Motions around us*
And there are steps up after that.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

If you zoom out far enough, most all of us end up pretty insignificant.

Of course. I’m not tauting this just to class myself above everyone else. There are always bigger fish. We’ve seen a couple examples of that in recent history.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

Sounds like strength but in different words.

No.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

You never know. It takes one moment of stupid and then it's over; besides, just being stronger than the next guy doesn't mean you're better than him. And that applies whether the best you can do is knock him out or if you can literally start the apocalypse.

I’m not even implying violence, here. Or strength. Raw power means nothing to me. It’s our influence. You and I have incalculably larger influence over Existence as a whole than anyone else in this room. And I say this knowing that you are incalculably stronger than I am.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

It's super true. I think we're farther away from the base than you may guess.

It’s not where we’re from that matters. It’s what we do. I think that may be why you don’t play the game as efficiently as you could. At any given point, either one of us could change these people’s lives forever, for better or for worse. They are incapable of doing the same to us.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

Irrelevant to both, for the most part.

And that’s the part that simply is not true.
