When your internet is out, you ponder why you spend so much time on it. When it comes back again, you ignore any deep, profound discoveries you make about it taking up time and go right back to it.

I have my own set of thoughts on the matter, but I don't intend to criticize yours. I apologize if I come across that way.

No, I wouldn’t saying you’re conveying that attitude. I just had a hunch is all.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

I'm just here to listen.

Hm. But the fact remains that you do vehemently disagree.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

*Nods*
I see. Thank you for being so open with me.

No rebuttals? Counterpoints? Arguments? None of that?
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

What's your code, if I may ask?

A sinple question of what I would and would not do. Taking a life, fine. Taking may lives, fine. Causing pain, fine. Going beyond that. Disrespecting people who are sacrificed for the cause, in any way... Betrayal of trust... Ruining someone’s existence for the long term, simply for the sake of doing it... These things are all things I avoid.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

So if the end is unaffected by the means, anything goes?

That’s never entirely true, but yes. Beyond that you just follow your own code.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

Where do you draw the line?

Don’t let the means warp the system so much the the end no longer matters when you get there.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

What means do you think can be justified?

Anything practical. So anything that doesn’t come close to wiping out existence.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

The ends justifying the means?

Exactly. Nearly any means.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

I'm sorry?

Doing anything wrong for the sake of something right, to be short.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

What needs to be done that we won't do?

Many things, situationally depending. But no one really makes the hard decisions.
