When your internet is out, you ponder why you spend so much time on it. When it comes back again, you ignore any deep, profound discoveries you make about it taking up time and go right back to it.

It's not like anyone can blame you for it.

No. I can thank you for being there to do it though.

It's easy to accidently walk into a shadow that tall.

*Nods*
I guess what I needed most of all was a perspective check.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

Exactly. There's plenty of room to grow.

I spend a lot of time around people who are just so gifted at so many things that I guess I just forgot that it’s okay to start from the bottom, in a sense.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

You don't have to start off good at something.

... That’s a good point, actually.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

Then I guess what's left is to decide what you want to be known for.

I don’t even know what I’m good enough at to reach that point. Especially now.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

Do you think you'd make a greater world-class hero than anyone else?

No... I don’t suppose I would.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

I think I understand what you mean. I also think that even though it might feel good to be irreplaceable, it's also worse for everyone who needs you.

Wanting to be irreplaceable makes it sound more selfish than I think it is. I just want to be able to fill some sort of role that I know I can do Better than others, so I know I’m doing the best I can.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

I don't see what makes any given act of heroism "big enough."

I just want to actually make a difference, instead of thinking I’m making a difference. And without hurting anyone else to do it. I don’t really care how big it is, but it’s hard for me to convince myself that I’m doing something worthwhile if the next guy or gal in line for the job can do the same thing.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

The people you help probably won't agree with that.

... Maybe not.
<Snipped quote by Intrepid>

That's up to you. You could volunteer, get a job, do all kinds of things for others.

It’s not alike I could do anything anyone else couldn’t do. There’s so many people out there doing those kinds of things that I really just wouldn’t make a difference at all.
