@Drazah Do you have any experience doing tabletop? A lot the tabletop games here are pretty beginner friendly and D&D 5th edition is very easy to get into. However, it seems that not many people on this website play much tabletop so it might be hard to find an open campaign and a willing DM. Iie Hizen’s reign inspired fear in the Murakami clan, who suspected that their indifference towards clan politics and preference for isolation could be seen as insubordination - though they were a civilian clan. While these thoughts were not really grounded in reality, it was rooted in generations of skepticism and fear of the shinobi governmental structures in Amegakure. As with other periods of strife during Amegakure’s history, the generations born under Iie were raised with a sense of severity and sheltered from noncivilian elements in the village whenever possible. Partway through this thirty-year period, the new clan head, Mamoru, found it imperative to try to integrate a few members of the clan into some of the shinobi institutions in order to not appear irreverent. This decision was viewed with some consternation but seen as necessary throughout Iie’s rule, despite the relative peace. His death was met with relief.
Yayoi, showing some promise with regards to her chakra proficiency, was enrolled into the Academy. This did not really interest her, as she more enjoyed the traditional skills typically taught to Murakami children - woodcutting and weaving, among other things. She did mediocre to passable on exams and was noted to be very lacking in her taijutsu, but excelled in areas involving chakra control. Outside of the Academy, she preferred to spend time with her civilian family, often running errands for her relatives around the village. This had the effect of familiarizing her with other civilians within Amegakure as well as isolating her from the other Academy students. Yayoi feels intimidated by other genin but masks this with a slight air of passiveness, and wishes to better integrate with the others - particularly with her cousin Katsutoshi’s ascension into the Bōdāgādo.
Her feelings of inadequacy spurred her to try and improve upon her minimal techniques for fear that she would incidentally lead to the death of teammates by being burdensome. This pushed her to develop a few techniques - variations off of her clan’s bow technique - but Yayoi still feels this is not enough. It is doubtful how successful these would be, in any case.

Having tried to grow independent of external forces, members of the clan are traditionalists and generally become artisans within the village. While she does carry a yumi , its accuracy with regards to moving targets is nearly nonexistent - used more to draw out and direct targets. Still targets are often engaged in close combat, and she will not risk hitting a teammate. She prefers to shoot from mid-to-long range and punish enemies who stop moving to use ninjutsu or otherwise.

While a normal warbow would shatter if pulled open too long, this technique allows for extended aiming and extension of the bow's force through expanded string tension. Chakra is used to brace the laminated bow in place and pull the string back further than normally possible. If the user's concentration is broken, it is possible to lose control of the bow and have the bow explode onto the user.

With regards to arrows: well-made non-wooden arrows are expensive and can be hard to come by, at least for someone of Yayoi's status. She has at most 40 reserved metal-tipped arrows, taking time to meticulously comb the battlefield to scavenge for the ash-forged tips after conflicts. Many of them are mismatched and recovered. The rest of her arrows are wooden-tipped and incredibly beat-up and rough-looking.

Anyways, welcome! Tabletop DnD is a great basis for roleplaying, and you'll see there's a subforum specifically for people who like tabletop (me as well!). If you like posting a solid paragraph or two, you might check out the Casual subforum which has plenty of fantasy and sci-fi RPs - hopefully you'll find one that tickles your fancy.
