The green-haired woman seemed sad momentarily as Alicia lectured her about the job reward. It was true that they were generally supposed to bring back some money in order to help finance the guild. But Mary perked up when Alicia acknowledged the value of the seed she obtained. "I understand," Mary stated, bowing her head politely toward Alicia. "To make up for this, I will give double the tax on my next job." Like that, the smile returned to her face and Mary was back to being cheerful. Before she could go and bother other people about her recently acquired plant, she heard a scream coming from the other side of the hall. One of the girls that Vero was flirting with seemed to not appreciate it. Upon closer inspection, Mary figured out that it was actually Vy that induced the episode of terror, not the ladies' man. This dictated her target.

As Mary began to walk over to that table, to see the commotion for herself, she heard talk about a 'Yukiko'. Determining this was the little girl she didn't recognize, Mary turned around to find the master and Alicia looking up. Following suit, Mary saw the flying girl. Not that flight was particularly amazing in a world of magic, it was the words that the master spoke that caught Mary's attention. "Natural wings..." Mary muttered, before grinning. This girl was certainly an interesting addition to Fairy Tail. With that mystery solved, Mary turned back to see that Vy had taken off from the table and crashed into Ben. Considering it was accidental, Mary started to approach the two to make sure they didn't get a concussion or anything of the sort.

She arrived just in time to overhear the last part of their conversation. "What is the master hiding?" she spoke once she was next to the two, announcing her presence. Standing next to them, Mary found that she was slightly shorter than the both. But that may also be contributed to her lack of footwear. "Making accusations like that is rude, and conspiring them with only one person is extra rude. Almost like gossip." She put her hands on her hips and looked into Ben's eyes, then shifted her gaze to Vy's. The fierce expression lasted only a few seconds, before she smiled again. "So what are you two doing, exactly?"

The man wrapped in green vines was thrown on the ground rather casually. Not like he would feel the impact, considering he was entirely unconscious. And the small fall would be the least of his worries once he wakes up. After all, he was now captured. Sitting on the edge of a giant floating leaf, her feet just barely above the ground, Mary flashed the villagers in front of her a smile and pushed some of her green hair out of her face. "There you go, sir," she told the elderly gentleman that stood closest to the captured criminal. The small crowd seemed impressed with the speed she tracked down and captured the thief, considering she only arrived in the town an hour ago. The elderly man coughed once and looked back up at the Fairy Tail wizard riding a leaf.

"You did us a great service, Mary," the man said, before reaching his right hand in his pocket. Her eyes immediately lit up and she leaned forward. "Now it is time for your reward." In a moment of suspense and anticipation, the old man rifled through the pocket for a moment. But once he found what he was searching for, he removed his hand from his pocket and held out his hand. Immediately, Mary brought both her hands forward under his fist. Once he opened his hand, a single, tiny seed fell into her hands. "Are you sure this is the only reward you want? The man stole hundreds of thousands of Jewel worth of our property. It feels unfair to give you a single seed in return."

The green-haired woman shook her head as she brought her hands up to her face to inspect the seed. "Worry not, sir. I have been looking for this species for a very long time. As soon as I saw the request, I knew this was a local plant and that I could finally get my hands on it. Now I can add another gem to my garden," she explained, sounding quite joyous of her success. The townsfolk simply shrugged. They were grateful for her expedient assistance, but couldn't quite wrap their heads around her priorities. With tender care, Mary picked her purse up from the floating leaf and placed the seed in it. With that, she looked back up at the man and smiled. "I hope you all have a good day."

The young woman scooted back on the leaf to sit cross-legged. As the townsfolk waved goodbye, the floating leaf shot forward. Though it wasn't amazingly fast, it was vastly quicker than a carriage ride. Mary's hair fluttered in the wind as her magical leaf set course for Magnolia. The entire ride took only an hour, and Mary clutched her purse the entire way. Now, in the later morning, the S-Rank mage glided down from the hills above Magnolia on a course directly for the Fairy Tail guild hall. The giant leaf parked itself behind the guild hall, in the midst of a lush and exotic garden filled with many vibrant colors and aromas. As Mary hopped off her ride, the giant leaf began to break down and scatter into many smaller leaves that were dragged away by the light breeze.

"I finally have you," she whispered to the seed as she withdrew it from her purse. After walking to a specific location in her garden, where space was clearly reserved for another plant, she kneeled down. Taking a trowel that was already prepared nearby, she made a small hole and placed the seed inside. After covering it up with the displaced dirt, she reached for a tin watering can and gave the newly planted seed some nutrition. With that done, Mary let out a sigh of relief and stood up. "There." After placing the gardening tools back where they belonged, the shoeless woman entered the guild hall from the back door.

Already it was energetic and full of life. Just how Mary liked it. Slinging her red purse over her shoulder, she entered the main hall and took in a deep breath. She could smell alcohol and sweat, but more importantly she could smell the oak that the hall was composed of. The smell of home. She gracefully walked to the bar just as Chloe appeared a few stools away. Her subterranean entrance displaced a young girl that Mary had never seen before, and the display made her chuckle. But her attention went back to Alicia behind the counter. "Hi, Miss Alicia," Mary greeted with a polite smile. "The mission I grabbed early this morning has been completed. Just letting you know. I also accepted an alternate reward that wasn't on the flyer. I finally can add a Great Vine Dancer to my garden."

Personality : While Mary is a generally friendly and understanding person, she can also be dominating. She prefers to be in charge, or at least the dominant force, in any situation. Other than that, she is rather agreeable and kind company. Though Mary can sometimes be overly assertive, she is hardly stubborn and will often listen to what people have to say, even if they are foes. This doesn't guarantee her opinions will change, but she is open to new ideas (as long as they don't include her not being the most powerful in the room). Though she isn't generally bubbly, on sunny days she is much more energetic than on cloudy or rainy days. As one could guess from her magic, she has a fondness for plants and nature to the point where she takes care not to damage wildlife. Not even grass. Though not a particularly quirky individual, Mary does have one quirk about her: she refuses to wear shoes, even during formal occasions that generally require it. By looking at her, many assume that she is of the "nature-loving, peace-loving" stereotype, though that is actually false. She loves nature, and she loves peaceful times. But she equally loves combat and using her magic. They provide her with an exhilaration that tending to plants cannot achieve, so she will not hesitate to duke out her problems with others, even if it is over something relatively minor. She keeps and tends a lush garden in the backyard of the Guild Hall, proving her dedication to the beauty of plants.

Arsenal :
Red Purse - A typical purse of the red color for the storage and transportation of small objects such as money and papers.
Chainsaw - A magic-powered chainsaw that Mary can summon from one of her plants. It draws magic power directly from the wielder, so the wielder determines the strength and cutting power. Someone like Mary in control, this chainsaw is capable of incredible durability and cutting power. Typically only appears when Mary is angry over the mistreatment of either her garden or fellow members of Fairy Tail.

Spells :

Vines - Incredibly tough and rapidly growing vines are created. Capable of being covered in thorns or coated in various spores or toxins.
Spore Bomb - Powerful explosive spores are released from created plants and hurled at the target with remarkable speed.

Flytrap: A large, magic-resistant flytrap is created either underneath a target or nearby the caster. If created underneath a target, it immediately captures them in its giant maw. If anyone ends up inside one of these Flytraps, their magic is constantly drained and used to strengthen the Flytrap itself, making it highly resistant to magic. Unlike most flytraps, it will not digest the person inside it but rather contain them and render them unconscious via magic depletion after some time has passed. Size can vary, but Flytraps are typically large enough to hold one person at a time.

Rest Spores: The caster creates small plants from their hands or on the ground around the vicinity that release a thick mist of spores. These spores are a potent toxin that are capable of knocking humans out in a matter of seconds. They leave no lasting or harmful effects aside from putting people to sleep, though they do not smell particularly nice nor do they taste good in the least should some get in someone's mouth.

Restraint Spores: Similar to Rest Spores, only this variant uses a paralyzing toxin. Though somewhat painful, it also holds no lasting effects. After a few seconds of exposure, the target will lose the ability to control their nervous system and will collapse, finding themselves incapable of moving. After the spore cloud is gone, the paralysis will begin to wear off within a few minutes.

Blossom Fake: The user creates a copy of themselves to avoid attacks or distract foes. When touched, the copy bursts into harmless pink blossoms.

Petal Storm: A blizzard of sharp, green petals are summoned around the caster before being launched in a high-speed flurry toward a target. The sheer quantity of the attack combined with the speed make it difficult to avoid and accordingly painful to receive. The petals can be coated in any of the spores that the user is capable of producing. The flurry of petals can be directed to chase after a moving target, rather than being simply a single-direction attack.

Rose Bush: A large, thick knot of thorny rose bushes are formed. A defensive spell that is incredibly resilient to attacks and is capable of entirely surrounding the user for omnidirectional protection. Spores can be released in clouds from the large roses that form along the thorns. While this is resistant to magic, the Rose Bush spell still has an inherent weakness to fire.

Forbidden Fruit: A small tree is created that will immediately bear fruit. The fruit is somewhat large and pink in color. While it tastes sour, it is imbued with a large amount of magic, allowing those that eat the fruit to be healed of their wounds and energized. Of course, the user cannot regain magic like this but if the user eats their own fruit it will heal their injuries.

Generic Plant Creation: The user can create plants of various sizes, shapes, and qualities at will. They do not require to be on dirt to be created, as they can also form on the user's body or on solid objects such as concrete. Any plants created can be used to emit spores.

Greenhouse: One of Mary's more powerful spells. A large dome of thorn bushes is formed around the battlefield, even stretching underneath. This not only prevents escape, but anyone inside is now in Mary's absolute territory. The dome itself can be host to spore-emitting plants or vines, making every angle a possible threat. Though this is a rather large spell, the rapid-growth of the plants makes it rather quick to activate. Size can vary, but is generally from a 100m radius all the way to a 500m radius.

Life Drain: Another one of Mary's most powerful spells. Similar to the Vine spell, Mary creates many moving tendrils. Notably they come from her own body and have vastly less range than the Vine spell. However, upon ensnaring a target, the tendrils immediately drain the victim of their magic, using it to strengthen themselves and give the user more magic power. The sheer quantity of tendrils can make moving incredibly difficult, let alone escaping. Though the user only has two hands, the tendrils can capture more than just two targets.

Magical Mobile Leaf: A utility spell. A large, green leaf is created that can float. Essentially serves as a magic carpet to allow quicker and easier travel. Size can vary from allowing only the user to be seated comfortably to allowing up to four people plus cargo to be seated comfortably.

Biography : Marigold Boyce was born to a simple family in the town of Magnolia. The only daughter to two loving parents who owned a flower shop and had a hobby of gardening. From a very young age, Mary attached to that hobby and enjoyed flowers and plants like her parents did. Sadly, she remembers little of her parents. At the age of four, her mother contracted a severe disease. In order to afford the medicine to keep her alive, her father was forced to sell the flower shop. Though that wasn't enough as the bills got higher and higher. He was pushed hard in order to keep his wife alive. Pushed to the point of betraying his morals.

Jean Boyce was killed when he, along with several career criminals, boarded an armed ship to hijack the gold it contained. With only a dying mother left in her family and nobody left to take care of the family, Mary drew in as much courage as possible in an attempt to keep her mother alive. She went to the local guild, Fairy Tail, and attempted to get a job to pay for her mother's medicine. The mages there first didn't take her seriously, as she was still essentially a toddler. But when she broke down crying, it was clear that her intentions were deeper than simply pretending to be a wizard. Rather than let her take a job, Pollux simply pooled some money in order to afford the medicine. Joyous as Mary was, she returned home later that day to find her mother had finally passed away. The newly purchased medicine could not revive the dead.

Mary was initially taken in by an orphanage and held for adoption. While at the orphanage, she was the only girl within her age group as the other children were either infants or older children. Her only consolation was that she was allowed to tend a garden, something she was surprisingly adept at for her age. In that same manner, after spending nine months at the orphanage, she discovered her magic. At first it confused her, then it amazed her. After demonstrating to the orphanage that she was a mage, the head lady talked to Pollux about Fairy Tail adopting her, believing the environment would be more suitable for her.

The guildmaster remembered Mary from before and was saddened that her mother did not survive in the end, and he let her in without a second thought. Now aged five, Mary was introduced to the world of magic. At her age, she wasn't quite capable of understanding the magic power she had. To her, she simply had a fun gift. In reality, she had a powerful magical presence about her. It wasn't until she was a teenager, after years of training, did she realize this herself. By then, Fairy Tail had become her family. She could still remember the gardens and her parents, but it had become something distant. Something she felt less attached to now. But in honor of her family, Mary decided to start a garden of her own at Fairy Tail.

While most would criticize the lack of flowers in her garden, as it was mostly exotic plants, Mary kept a habit of reminding the critics that "not all beauty is in the surface." While her actual home was one of the Fairy Tail dorms, the garden became her home away from home, so to speak. And over the years it grew, and so did she. Her magic evolved. Her plants became less for show and more useful. They became larger, stronger, more vibrant and radiant in color. Her confidence grew and her skill only increased. At seventeen years old, Mary took her first solo job. Her inherently exceptional magic power began to shine. And she liked the attention it drew. She began to train her body as well, realizing that she was too frail without her magic. Despite her youth, she became recognized as a powerful mage. Yet her goal was simply to show the beauty of her plants, and she sure loved to demonstrate that power of hers. At the age of twenty-three she was given the title of an S Rank Wizard. To this day, Mary continues to enhance the beauty of her plants. Both in her garden and in her magic.
Other : Though her magic is her primary method of attack, Mary has proven before that she is more than capable in hand-to-hand combat and is even somewhat durable. Can't forget the theme song. Or the battle theme. Or the alternate battle theme.

Phoenix Wing (A Fairy Tail RP-Always Open, Open)

Ninety-eight, ninety-nine, one hundred. Maddox dropped down from the pull-up bar he positioned towards the top of his bedroom doorway. With that last exercise, he was done with his morning warm-up. Aside from the morning jog, that is. But like always, he was going to get that one in on his way to the guild hall. The red-haired mage grabbed his signature coat and headed for the front door. The sun was already out, but he enjoyed his sleep anyways. He went to bed early the night before just to get that extra rest rather than sleeping in today. Once at the street, Maddox let out an exasperated sigh. I smoke and I jog. Almost redundant, he thought to himself with a chuckle before adjusting his coat and beginning his brisk run.

To make it worth the effort, he ran around the outskirts of Magnolia in the direction that would take the most distance to reach the guild hall. Simply jogging straight toward it wouldn't do anything for him, so this way was the best in order to compromise effort with time. Once Maddox reached Phoenix Wing, he stopped at the front doors and let out another sigh. At least I'm alive. With that, he chuckled and swung the doors open. Inside he could already see several people. Somewhat surprising to him, considering it was still early. Perhaps they were eager for today's mission? Or since he only really knew Sasha and Angelo, perhaps this was their normal hour to start their days? Regardless, Maddox let the front doors close behind him as he walked over to the table that Sasha, Damien, and James sat around.

"Everyone here seems ready so far," Maddox noted aloud as he stood by the table, not quite sitting down yet. He only took a seat after adjusting his fur coat. "We probably won't get started for another few hours though." He contemplated withdrawing a cigarette, but fought the drive. It was too early for him to start smoking, as addicting as it is. "I slept good last night though. How 'bout you guys?"
