"I don't understand what you're so mad about," the black-haired teen grumbled, rubbing the back of his head with one hand and averting his gaze from the middle-aged, bearded man in front of him. "I'm not mad! I'm furious!" the man responded with a gruff voice, stomping his foot for emphasis. "When we asked for Fairy Tail wizards, we didn't expect you two harbingers to show up! Look what you did!" The older man pointed to the left.

Caleb's gaze followed his hand and he turned his head to look at the destroyed building. It appeared to have been a shop of some kind, but now a massive boulder was occupying more space than the shop itself. And, of course, his twin sister Caitlyn was sitting patiently on top of the boulder. "I see your point, but look at what I also did," Caleb retorted with a grin, kicking a seemingly unresponsive man that was already sprawled at his feet. Upon being lightly kicked, he let out a groan of pain. "Knocked him out and caught him, I did. The store was just... uh... what's the word that Alicia uses..." At this point, the fuming man exploded again. "You did more damage than everything that thief stole!"

Caleb looked up to Caitlyn on the rock, who was clearly smiling like she was enjoying herself. Upon making eye contact, she merely shrugged. With a sigh, Caleb looked back at the man. "Sorry the building got crushed. But we did the job we came to do. It's not like you would send a request to Fairy Tail without knowing there would be a risk of something like this happening," Caleb apologized, mostly. He crossed his arms and turned around, which in turn caused Caitlyn to jump down from the boulder and land next to him. "Where do you delinquents think you're going? You need to get this rock off my shop!" The twins stopped and looked at each other, both sporting a grin.

With no warning, the two of them sprung into action. Caleb jumped toward the rock while Caitlyn jumped into the air. A large rock formed around Caleb's fist as he brought it forward into the rock, causing large cracks to appear across the surface. As soon as he finished his attack he jumped out of the way, allowing his sister a clear shot at the weakened boulder. Caitlyn brought her hands together in a clap, sending a swirling blast of air into the boulder. This did the trick and the once-massive stone shattered into many tiny pieces. As the bits of stone sprayed across the block, getting even more attention from passerby than the whole scene already had, what remained of the shop after being crushed by the boulder was now also blown to bits. It was simply a pile of rubble now.

As Caitlyn landed on the ground next to her brother, the shopkeep simply looked at his former shop with a stunned expression. "There, we got rid of the rock," Caleb said, complimented by his sister giving the man a thumbs-up. There was a moment of awkward silence before the rage visibly began to return to the man before them. He began to let out a shout of primal rage, before pointing at the twins. "You brats will pay for this!" he shouted. Caleb made a simple wave of his hand, almost like he was dismissing that idea entirely. "Whatever. We're going to go get our reward from the mayor now." As Caitlyn began to wave goodbye to the man, the twins turned around to see the mayor had actually left the town hall and came to the commotion.

Train Ride ; Between Oshibana and Magnolia

"Can't believe they wouldn't pay us," Caleb grumbled, sitting across from Caitlyn in their booth. He had his arms crossed in a comically irritated manner, but Caitlyn was more focused on looking out the window. She raised her left hand and held the palm up, giving a light sweeping motion out with it before placing it on her lap again. "Yeah, I guess it wasn't really a surprise but still. We should've gotten something from it. The guy punched me in the face. I deserve some kind of compensation for my pain and suffering." Now Caitlyn's gaze went to her brother, an irritated and sarcastic glare in her eyes. After staring him down for a moment, she let out a sigh and shook her head. "Whatever. Jokes on them. The mission reward won't cover those repairs anyways. Let's just not tell Alicia or Pollux about this. And definitely not Mary. So don't say a word about it." As Caleb began snickering at his own joke, Caitlyn's left leg shot out, connecting directly into his left shin. Her brother let out a grunt of pain, and grabbed the afflicted area. "C'mon, that was funny."

Thus her primary methods of communication come from body language, expressions, and gestures, which can lead to misinterpretation. While considered to be the more serious of the Paige twins, Caitlyn isn't very serious at all. She also has a distaste for the nicknames that her brother came up with for them, and a general distaste for things that are intentionally macho or pure bravado.

By sheer miracle, or perhaps willpower, Caitlyn survived the attack after her brother carried her to the hospital by himself. The damage done to her throat stole her ability to speak. Her vocal spectrum was limited to only a few noises after that, rendering her mostly mute. But on top of Caitlyn losing her voice, both Caitlyn and Caleb lost their respect for their father.

When news got out that Lawrence Paige had both neglected to attend to his daughter's wound and had killed a man, his reputation was shattered. The Magic Council was forced to remove him from their organization to avoid looking bad. Though he greatly loved his children, he knew he made a mistake when he acted without thinking. He spent almost the entirety of his fortune trying to find a way for his daughter to get her voice back, but it was all in vain. And despite his efforts to regain his kids' trust, he never could. After Caitlyn fully recovered from her injuries and no longer needed medical support to live, she and Caleb decided they were leaving. By the time they were ready to take on jobs by themselves, they were as fun-loving and happy as the rest. But they caught more than just the "good traits" of Fairy Tail...

As Alicia had one time put it: "it's almost as if they are trying to break everything around them just so we will foot the bill." Their excessive violence on jobs, even jobs that didn't require the use of their magic, got them not only reprimanded on a constant basis but also got them noticed by the magical community. While Fairy Tail has already been known to be rampant, Caitlyn and Caleb seemed to be the crown jewel in a guild of violent lunatics. The Weekly Sorcerer labeled them as the Destructive Duo and wrote several articles about them, though they are often given mentions in the magazine due to recent acts of violence they may have committed.

While their behavior has been troublesome, they were only brought before the Magic Council once. Recognizing them as the children of the former member Lawrence Paige, they were let off the hook with a warning. They took the warning to heart and has since toned down their violence... slightly. Due to the damage they cause, almost the entirety of their rewards goes to Fairy Tail to help pay for the trouble. The Paige twins are now in their mid-teens, having spent seven years in Fairy Tail. Though not the youngest members, they are still generally regarded as the misbehaving children of the guild. Most recently, Caitlyn and Caleb have moved to separate rooms. For over six years, the two stayed in the same room together at the Fairy Hills. While it is a seemingly small adjustment, as they are still clearly close figuratively and distance-wise, it has meant a lot to the two of them in the sense that they are growing up. Something the older members of Fairy Tail hope is a sign that they might stop living up to their name of the Destructive Duo.

Personality : Caleb has very few inhibitions or personal restrictions. Or in other words: he does what he wants. Energetic, excitable, and optimistic accurately describe the younger of the Paige twins. Caleb isn't just confident; he's over-confident in himself and his friends. Utterly fearless and seemingly immune to stress, Caleb can sometimes work his way into situations that he actually can't handle but will continue to believe he can. While he is loud and boisterous, unlike his sister, Caleb isn't exactly unintelligent. It's that he lacks a lot of common sense, which his sister often has to make up for him. Caleb also pays mind to his (and his sister's) image, often taking effort to portray himself as a badass. Despite his general foolishness, Caleb is surprisingly empathetic and capable of understanding. Also worth mentioning that he seems capable of understanding his sister whenever she tries communicating, no matter how confusing her gestures or expressions can be.

Atlas Drop - One of Caleb's most powerful attacks. A massive boulder is ripped from the ground and hurled at a target. The sheer size makes it difficult to avoid and the sheer weight makes it incredibly destructive. Guaranteed collateral damage when used in towns or villages.
Rock Golem - A golem of stone is created, slightly larger than Caleb himself. The golem cannot move from where it is created, but the upper body can still attack enemies or serve as a defensive wall. Multiple golems can be created in a single go.

"I can hear you two perfectly..." Mary grumbled, clearly directed toward Zy and Vero's conversation. While she considered herself a smart woman, she never could quite figure out why men were so strange sometimes. The green-haired mage let out a sigh and put her hand to her temple. "And realistically I can do it all by myself," she continued muttering. Before any more complaints could escape her, Zy approached in a panic asking about his appearance. "Uh..." was all Mary let out, clearly confused by his sudden change of persona. Upon hearing Victoria's voice over the din of the Guild she realized exactly what his problem was.

Even knowing what he was talking about, Mary didn't exactly feel like answering his questions. They were plain awkward, even with justification. Instead, she simply sighed and shook her head. "You're on your own buddy," she said jokingly, pushing him back slightly to ensure he was at least arm's reach away from her. Before much else happened, Victoria approached their group and immediately gave Mary a hug, which Mary returned all the same. "I wouldn't exactly call them dashing..." Mary responded first, giving Vero and Zy a quick and suspicious glance before returning her attention to Victoria. "But I've been doing perfectly fine. Alicia is a bit mad at me because I have been collecting more plants than money lately, but we're about to go on a mission to fix that anyways. You must've been busy though, what with the King and all." Anticipating that Victoria may join the party, Mary swept her hand behind herself, making the levitating leaf even larger.
