I admit I'm not as well-versed in Shadowhunters lore as BC, but as far as I've seen there is no occurence of a vampire who's done anything like you described. Doing so could make their life very difficult (they probably don't need a stomach, but removing their bones would make things very unpleasant for them). They do have a circulation, sort of (their heart doesn't beat, but they bleed as if it did), and they drink blood, there is no mysticism or life force involved. Use of blood is over time rather than physical activity (I think, check with BC for that). It is also worth noting it does not have to be human blood - almost all vampires use cow (or other animal) blood, because it is difficult to get human blood without breaking the Covenant (I just imagined a vampire turning up at someone's funeral, asking for a blood donation from the deceased).

@BlackSam3091 What will your choices be based on? If I haven't miscounted, there are 12 people who still want to do this. Some of them are not going to want to back out (take me for example). You said "we" though, do you have co-GMs (and how many)? I would be willing to co-GM if it would help working with a larger group. The other thing I can suggest (something I also did with a D&D campaign a while ago) is to run the same rp twoce - that is, find someone willing to GM another rp, technically the same as yours, and divide the players into "group 1" and "group 2". You would run the rp for group 1, and the other person (again, I am willing to volunteer for this purpose) would run the rp for group 2. Obviously this would require some explanation of planned plots, characters, etc. but it allow a large number of people to take part while leaving you with the group size you originally planned for.

Mathew is intelligent and driven, but extremely arrogant. All that most people want to know about him is that he was born rich - that is, they don't want to know that, but once they find out they don't care to learn any more. His family own one of the huge stately homes that dot England, one of the few that aren't used as museums now, anyway. Having that kind of background has lead Mathew to be quite old-fashioned. His home was one in Oxford, and he attended the university there, studying ancient literature and arts. Not just attending Oxford, but also doing relatively well there, further increased his arrogance. He generally likes to get into arguments, often simply to show himself to be more intelligent than the other person, though whether that proves anything is the opinion of those present. Whether or not he thinks himself more intelligent, though, he generally is. His arrogance is atronomical, but at least he has a good reason to think so much of himself.

Notes

• Mathew has a lot of experience in both horseriding and fencing, two things which his old-fashioned family believed he should know how to do. He likely brought both his horse (named Atalanta, after the Greek mythological character), and a matched pair of rapiers, to Lucifer's estate (He would not carry them with him - they are not very suitable for any form of combat except fencing. He would have them in an expensive case somewhere.).
• Having studied ancient literature at Oxford, Mathew is extremely knowledgable on that subject. He has also written a little poetry, though nothing escpecially famous.
