"...Well, I guess that's one way to do it!" Erin said in surprise, patting the Dathomirian Padawan twice on the shoulder before leaving her behind cover. Not leaving her behind, of course - they were all getting out of here together after they survived this battle. Despite Jedi casualties, the battle seemed to be going as smoothly as it could under these circumstances.

Erin was originally going to join in defending the younglings in the defensive formation, but a sandy-haired Padawan broke from the others and raced into the clones following the fall of a Noghri Jedi. Her duty and sense of logic compelled her to join the formation, but she went ahead on impulse before she knew she was running. She sprinted with the Force and caught a few blaster bolts on her twin lightsabers, her back faced to the kid so that she could watch his back, while he hopefully watched hers - given he had an emotional sort of aura, she really hoped he was holding himself together enough for both their sakes. She didn't need to say anything - the focus was all on getting out of here alive whilst saving as many as possible in the process. ...Impulsive kids included!
"...You too." Flare whispered after Ryker, before the two went their separate ways. They were still in Pergrande City, so she kept her hood down. Her authority transcended that of even the royal guards, so she could more or less do what she wanted. But given the situation at hand, she'd have to keep it quiet and have the guards calmly and quietly escort the people away from the town square. When she got there, she began discreetly talking to the guard force, who quickly but quietly started to will the people away. And after that was done, Flare would hide in an alley and wait for her partner to start the noisy part.
"Go with you?" The Chinese-looking girl chanted, spinning around a few times on her heel before stopping, her face right in front of Kenji's and her umbrella behind her back. It might be scary seeing how happy she was. There was absolutely no reason to be happy! In fact there was a lot of reason to be unhappy right now! "Where do you want to take me, officer?" She asked innocently, "I really need to be somewhere~ ...But you want to lock me up?"

When Yoshi approached, the girl's smile faded just a little, but she was still visibly pleased with something. "Am I doing something wrong? Breaking the law~? Is that it? Mmm?" She teased the two, her gaze shifting between Kenji & Yoshi playfully.
And just as Cronic was thinking about what the successful terrorists would be doing right now, a shadow leapt overhead, the sound of quiet, slow steps emitting from a nearby rooftop. It was all too obvious that it was a ninja, and not just one of those ninja who were paid to express-deliver pizzas. They weren't in a hurry, and they were sure as shit not bothering to help with the fire. Either stupid-ignorant, or terrorist.

"Kei, Arashi, if you're still alive you need to be heading for the secondary rendezvous. The Shinsengumi reacted more quickly than we thought. Meet up in Kabuki district's port, Takahashi-sama will be there with the ship." Shiroko said calmly into her radio. Sounded kind of posh for a ninja, almost like a noble lady. Unfortunately, she didn't bother to check if anyone was listening.
"Oh look. People running around with swords after a terrorist attack," A voice came from the Shinsengumi squad approaching Humaru, each of them with their katanas drawn. The black-haired man's voice was cold, but he sounded pretty happy about the catch. "Now, what do we do with Joui terrorists? Do we capture them and beat the information out of them, ...or do we just slaughter them on the spot?" He asked.

He was Toushiro Hijikata, the Demon Vice-Chief of the Shinsengumi. "And you... What the hell are you doing here? You don't look like you fit in with these rats." He muttered, tossing his cigarette to the road and stepping on it.
"I made sure they used a freeze frame that was just~ right..." Flare chanted innocently, "I guess it works out for the better though. Magic that can change your form does exist, and when you show Pergrande your cool guy smile, they'll think the evil bastard-looking Ryker was a fake!" She said, throwing her arms open and wrapping them around one of his. "I can't wait to start on our travels again! It'll be just like the old days, but even better!"

As they left the palace's main entrance, Flare snatched a cloak from a coat hanger and started tying it around Ryker's neck for him. Could probably assume the one-year-no-Ryker had really got to her, she treated her best pal like a king. If she wouldn't look stupid doing it, she'd probably start dragging a red carpet under him. "Now, for the bandits. You want to be the bait, so~ I should go hide somewhere right? No? If you want all 50 in the same place at the same time, the town square would probably do it. I could go evacuate it for ya'! How about it?" The short Fire Mage pestered her partner.

That powerful green beam shot out of the long hilt, connected to the Wraith's energy supply. On that note: it was using a lot of juice just being powered on. The energy reserves on that winged mobile suit must have been incredible, far more powerful than top-of-the-line Gundams that used compact nuclear reactors.

"...Go for the main thrusters on it's back with everything you've got left. If the ZAFT guys are going to snipe this S.O.B, we'll immobilize him as much as we can before they take their shot!" Kenny said, keeping up the fire to cover Calthorn's advance. At full power it should be a swift attack, and Kenny doubted the enemy pilot's ability to dodge all the incoming attacks at the same time.
"Here it comes..." Lucia said slowly over the two-way comm channel, her fingers itching on the Impulse's controls...
"Heart rate slow, still stable! There's still hope!" The Haro replied immediately, "Need a doctor, need a doctor~" The little spherical machine continued unhappily, floating up in front of Izumi's helmet. A small compartment opened up and shocked her chest, causing her heart rate to climb slightly. Mark could hear the occasional beeping that you'd get from a heart rate monitor coming from the mechanical sphere. The Haro definitely wasn't made to be a mere pet. It was more like a little guardian angel, from somebody who cared very much about the pilot...
Let's start this off with a *bang*!

It was a cold night, especially up on top of the Terminal Tower, the spaceport of Edo. So very high in the clouds, two men stood together on the colossal structure, their hair and clothing blowing in the wind. They were identical, both had bandages covering their left eyes. Their yukatas had the same butterfly patterns, but one wore green while the one speaking wore purple. They had looks of disappointment, ..no, resentment on their faces.

"Look at it... This rotten world the Bakufu created... The rotten people in it... The Amanto being treated like gods while humans lick their boots. ...It sickens every part of me to no end ...Tonight, we're going to commence our campaign of destruction against Edo, the Amanto, and the servile scum that inhabit this city. Tonight.. is the beginning of the end."

As Takasugi finished speaking, explosions flared up in randomly chosen positions throughout Edo. The two smirked, tilting their heads forward as they gazed on at the burning buildings far below them. Chaos. Destruction. Death. This is all they wanted for the country that had so cruelly spat on it's own culture, it's own honour, to make happy with the Amanto. The man in the green yukata turned to leave, while Takasugi just kept on gazing at the carnage with his insane eyes, taking a seat and puffing on his kiseru (pipe).

"I'll ensure the small fry are dealt with by the end of the month. We will have our vengeance." The clone of Takasugi could be heard announcing in a dark manner, before a helicopter picked him up and flew away from the Terminal, leaving the real leader of the Kiheitai sitting up there alone. Alone with his beautiful destruction...
While the Edo authorities rushed around collapsing the fiery buildings or hosing them down in effort to stop the inferno spreading, the Shinsengumi's ten squads were deployed across the city. This was definitely the work of an extremist Joui faction, or perhaps the Kiheitai were making a debut of sorts... Overall, Edo's people and emergency services personel were doing a surprisingly good job of halting the spread of the flames, and eventually containing them. The Shinsengumi's job was to capture or kill anyone suspicious leaving the areas that were bombed.

2nd Squad was garrisoned the Shinsengumi Headquarters. Couldn't leave home undefended, right? After all, it could just be a giant, overdone distraction meant to take over the base. While the other nine squads scoured Edo for any signs of hostility, 2nd was here, along with the new recruits who had yet to be assigned to their duty. At least if they were surprise-attacked, they had a chance. Kokone Tok- uh, ..Murasaki, patrolled around the walls with Kenji Saitou and Yoshi Nagase; her two favourite squad members. Probably because they weren't pathetic with a sword and they didn't die easy, so they were ideal comrades!

...As stated earlier, the Shinsengumi are to detain anyone suspicious-looking, or to kill them if they're openly hostile.

And that thought crossed Kokone's mind just as a girl dressed in Chinese attire strolled past the base, directly away from the chaos. She wasn't really walking like a normal person. There was more dancing with her umbrella, skipping, twirling and cheerful humming than anything else going on. Given she was dance-skipping away from the death and destruction, would you think that's very suspicious? She had an umbrella out while it wasn't even raining, and was generally too freakin' happy to say a whole bunch of people in Edo just got killed in the simultaneous terrorist attacks. Probably insane? Likely. Antagonist? Very likely!

"...Uh..." Kokone couldn't even bring a word forward as the cheerful China-girl twirled past the three Shinsengumi with her umbrella as her partner. "...Half of me wants to forget I just saw that over-happy display. The other half wants to arrest that idiot on account that she's too frickin' happy. Yoshi, Kenji, you guys can go arrest her on uh.. account of suspicious behaviour. I'ma keep watch on the gate. Don't take too long, I don't feel like getting jumped by some terrorist-patriot bastards while you two screw around."
Kenny's eyes darted around the battlefield, quickly adjusting to what exactly was going on. You didn't need direct communication to tell what was happening. The Impulse was hanging back, a mobile suit far away was about to fire off a sniper shot, and the winged mobile suit was distracted by Calthorn & himself right now. "...I see. Buddy, make sure this guy's back is turned to the ZAFT suits waiting in support. I think we've got a chance... Let's keep him busy!"

With that, the Murasame flew around the ET mobile suit firing off it's beam rifle. The enemy pulled out it's twin rifles and began firing off large beams at Kenny and Calthorn hoping to hit and destroy them quickly. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say he's getting flustered..." Kenny made a playful comment, dodging the incoming fire flawlessly and trying to draw the enemy suit in one direction - it's back was turned to the ZAFT mobile suits.
As Mark entered the dark, mostly-melted cockpit block of the Saviour, he would be met with a bright blue Haro that was hovering around the place. It sounded genuinely sad for a little robot, not saying anything but whining like a lost child... Their helmet was cracked, but not shattered, a few splats of red painting the inside of the visor. There was a lot of blood floating around... The left arm of the poor pilot was still attached, but you couldn't make out it's condition due to the bloody mess surrounding it. Overall, they looked safe to move - as long as their suit wasn't compromised. The arm was a problem in that matter, but the rescue MS wasn't that far away. It could be risked, or secured if Mark brought any equipment with him. In fact, there should be some emergency pilot suit fixes in one of the compartments.
"Oh I'll give you a shot alright... Target the Impulse's blast silhouette! Don't miss and don't worry about me! ...On my signal." Lucia responded to Zerenis, while the battle started to get thicker with this winged mobile suit. Lucia was just waiting... Waiting for the right moment.
The winged mobile suit suddenly blasted downwards, avoiding getting impaled on both the Wraith Dagger's anti-ship blades. Just as fast as it had avoided, it blasted upwards and behind Calthorn, swinging it's large beam saber downwards. It was going to cut him straight down the middle. But as fortune would have it, three small beams flew between them, the first two halting the ET mobile suit's attack, and the third blowing the powerful, now deactivated beam saber out of it's hand. If that thing was compatible with human MS mechanics, perhaps the superior beam saber was exactly what Calthorn needed...

"How thick is that damn armour?" Kenny muttered in disappoint over the comm channel, "Hey, Wraithy Dagger? Seems you owe the CSC now..." He said in a lighter tone. "Let's top this bastard."
There was still nothing from Izumi. No telepathy, no use of communications. Fortunately the Saviour wasn't totally obliterated, but the cockpit had a beam straight through it. Anyone familiar with mobile suit damages would be able to say it straight away: there was little to no hope that the pilot was still alive... But on the off chance that they did somehow survive, the pilot was going to be messed up badly - usually too badly to get to a medical facility on time.
"Typical Tamotsu... But that's why we love ya'." Luka chanted casually as the building started to shake. That old guy was practically freaking out now. First he had no magic, now he was going to get crushed under his own home! Well, he would have if Luka didn't grab him and dive out the big window behind his desk. When they touched the ground outside, Luka stood the old man up and dusted his formal suit down for him, "...So now Kuro isn't a problem."

"..." The old man just watched, stunned as his home came tumbling down, with that Dragon Slayer still inside. Oh well. A rich guy like an ex-councilor should be able to rebuild one with all the insurance money, right? But right now there was something more pressing on the old man's mind. "No, Kuro wasn't inside! He was always-"

"Siting on the roof, contemplating why I even bother with this kind of thing anymore..." A calm-sounding young man interrupted from what was once the roof, now a nearly-intact section of roofing slates. He tossed his cigarette to one side and tilted his head at seeing Luka here, who had her guns trained on him from the moment he opened his mouth. "I'll admit, I didn't expect an Enforcer to get this deep into our business. Usually you'd get paid off or something, but I guess you're different. You're one of those war heroes from the Academy 2/3 years go, huh? And I see you brought a legendary Dragon Slayer along too. Tamotsu, was it? I do hope he didn't crush himself..." He said, the last part sounding really honest.

Luka was actually pretty unsure of what to do. Apparently Kuro Shade had never harmed a fly... Unless he had absolute reason to. But she didn't lower her defence. He was on an entirely different level in gunplay to her.
