Jannah, I think I played this RP with you once before, so I'll give it a shot a second time around. Here are my picks:1) India2) Brazil3) Republic of China or South Korea (Would like them equally)Apologies if any of these are taken, I didn't read through everyone's request.

I do believe India is taken, but Brazil is open. I'm about to start a list back on page 1.

Yes, but that shouldn't give the green light to sandbox a generation of leaders doing exactly what the player wants in perfect harmony. Research should be done first.

Well that's why I'm typically sticking to East Germany. It's one of the countries from that era I know the most about. As a general rule, nothing too far-fetched should be done in this game. We still need to have some sense of realism.

What I mean to say is, instead of just inventing someone, a person should look into say...Politicians, political theorists, academics, military leaders...Whatever they want. You know, real people that existed and choose with them instead of making someone up. There's plenty of real life people who would fit. Like for example, If I wanted to go alt history I could say, pick one of Kim Jong Il's brothers to take over instead of him. It would still be someone who never was leader in real life but at the same time is a real person.

Ah, I get you. That makes sense.

The thing is it can lead to leaders doing exactly what you want, avoiding real life troubles.

I suppose you have a point, but this is still alternate history.

Yes, however I worry about allowing people to just...Invent someone....It could lead to problems

Not necessarily. As long as said fictional leader sticks to the main ideology of the country they lead then there shouldn't be huge problems. I might not even use Honecker, for example.

Good luck my fellow country divided by the evils of western imperialism :P

Indeed. Death to the western imperialist pigs!

I hope this means we can just choose who we want to be leader out of existing real people and not "make someone up" right?

If you want to play with Kim Il-Sung as your leader then go right ahead.

I know what the deal is for Israel. I intend to try to play it out realistically -- for example, Ariel Sharon will remain a loose cannon.

Because this is alt history for the most part, we can also have fictional leaders. I'd imagine some might remain the same though.

I will of course be sticking to the Juche idea and raise a fierce wind of making a fresh leap forward on all fronts of building a thriving country filled with confidence in victory!....For real and not just words perhaps :P

Playing as East Germany, my immediate goal will likely be getting my hands on West Berlin :P.

I hope we're able to go Alt history of course otherwise that would just be boring :P

Of course! Anything past 1950 is going to be made up by us. We don't have to stick to facts.
