This roleplay will take place in the Sonic fandom in an AU I like to call Dimensional Wars. The plot is simple, there's basically a big battle for the city of Westopolis and characters can choose sides and faction for who they want to fight for. Each faction allows particular races and types of characters. Each faction has strengths and weaknesses, and differnt moralities.
Faction Choices:
.The Freedom Fighters: You know them. They're the good guys, for the most part. Join them to help save the city and all the humans. Your character can be any Mobian species.
.The Guardian Units of Nations: The "lawful" faction. Most of the time GUN is good, but then you have characters like Team Dark who joined them. Your character can be either human or Mobian.
.The Egg Empire: The generic bad guys, your character has to be a Robian, a roboticized Mobian, a Eggman robot, or a cyborg.
.The Order: Your character basically joins my own AU faction. Your character is basically a high tech "super nazi" who can have psychic powers, or be trained with the latest gear. (Note: No hedgehogs or echindas are allowed, your character also is more likely to be canine or feline.) The Order are a bunch of fanatics who are warmongerers, but also passionate about purging Mobius of "rodents" and destroying both GUN and the Egg Empire.

.No, your character cannot be as strong as Shadow, your character can have superpowers if they're on the GUN, Order, or Freedom Fighter's sides however.
.This is a war story, there will be violence.
.Dr.Eggman isn't the main antagonist in this, however Egg Empire forces will invade the city to route both the Order and GUN.
.All Freedom Fighters shall be already residing in the city, whereas all GUN personnel will either be stationed or deployed. Egg Empire forces can be hidden and undercover agents within the city at the start and Order forces shall deploy.
Starter:
The sky was blackened over Westopolis. Flak shrapnel and all manner of AA fire filled the skies above the city as Order Shrieker 11 figherbombers and 620 Raven gunships preformed air raids against the city and ground to support operations. GUN forces were stationed and gunning at anything that was flying in the sky and not a GUN MI-24 or a F22 as the afternoon was lit up with the fire from the ground.
The city was in Chaos, civilians were trying to be evacuated by the United Federation. However, there were those too stubborn to evacuate and get to safety while the fighting was going on. This combined with the fact that some felt it would be best to stay indoors and seek shelter to wait out the battle, as with others who just were ill prepared to evacuate when the attack commenced. On one side you had the Guardian Units of Nations, the brave humans and Mobians trying to fight of the Order who were launching a deep blitzkrieg into western Eurish. Meanwhile off in the distance unknown to both factions the chaos and turmoil was being watched by the forces of the Egg Empire as a potential opportunity to strike at the United Federation and to route the Order's own incursion deep into GUN's backyard.
"Look at those brainless do-gooders and those mindless savages. They're ruining a city I want to claim! It's bad enough those meddlesome Moebians have actually become a threat, yet now they're laying siege to a city I want? What audacity!" The bad doctor said to his minions while he observed the situation unfolding on a monitor.
"Still, I should probably wait and strike when both sides are at their weakest. It's better to let those two empty headed knuckleheads duke it out until both their armies are weakened. Whoo boy, then that will be when the fun begins." Eggman said to himself as he continued to view the transmission feed broadcasted from one of his buzz bombers observing the Order's arial attack on Westopolis.
As this was going on the Order began to land ground troops via their Raven gunships outside of city as portal opens up from the anti-world of Moebius through time and space to offload the Order's Salamander APC's and 566 Red Devil tanks. The tanks would appear through the fabric of reality first as they would escort the Salamanders and enrage the defensive line of GUN M1-Abrams just outside the city.
"Well now, looks like GUN brought their big toys to the party to bolster a defensive perimeter. I want our Red Devils to fire their rounds in a concentrated fire to make a breach in their armor battalions defenses! We need to route those human tanks and get our soldiers deployed into enemy lines ASAP!" A black fured fox with a green jacket said as he looked through a pair of digital HUD binoculars.
