Yugioh: The King's Shadow

Yami was rather quiet, his concentration on Serena until he was brought out of it by Tea and Yugi. Feeling the hand of his partner on his shoulder of which he brought his hand to touch to acknowledge his comfort. Hearing their question, Yami felt it could go in turns. Easier so everyone gets decent sleep. But Yami had a feeling he wouldnt be as tired as everyone else. Yami looked to the Pendant in his other hand when Yugi asked about it and nearly forgot. He was more concerned about her health. Moving his hand from Yugi's and leaning over, Yami put the pendant around her neck where it belonged. "I will watch her for now. I would suggest taking turns for its easier for us to get some sleep. I will take the first time when everyone goes to bed. I will not be as tired." Yami suggested to them. "How is Adam?" Yami asked. Having remembering a bit of what happened but remembering Adam's voice.

Yami and Joey followed Tea in after Joey had brought Serena up and then into the house. Yami was no doubt worried, but he was trying to remain calm. Freaking out would do no good. Yami would suggest the hospital but he had no idea if that was a wise idea. Though upon entering the livingroom with the couch cleared and ready for Serena, Joey laid her on the couch. Yami tilted his head. He saw Yugi move over to be next to her as did he. He kneeled next to couch where he could watch her. He wondered what was going on, wondering if this was just a fever due to the strain of her injuries or was it possibly from something else. It bugged him greatly. Seto sat out of the way as Tristen and Duke stayed out of the way as well, clearly worried for Serena as well. But didn't know what to do to help.

Yami's eyes widened slightly, mainly out of surprise. His words sinking on. It took him a minute say something, let alone move. But he nodded. "Alright." A smile managed to form on his lip that were kind and seemed to thank Yugi. The former Pharaoh set the cup aside on a table before leaving toward the backyard.

Joey shrugged. "I don't know who that was. If he wasn't wearing a hood I might know. Doubt it though." He replied while still watching Serena. He caught what she said but it didn't really make sense. Joey noticed Tea work her motherly like work worried about this sudden news of her burning up. She did take one hell of a beating after all. However before he could say anything, Yami came outside, walking toward them, kneeling on the other side of Serena. "She isn't doing well is she?"
Joey shook his head. "No. She took one hell of a beating. That creature really wanted her gone. Kaiba and I had issues being able to defend her with her disappearin' and reappearin'. Plus with her back healing and all, Im not surprised. I tried helpin'. I really did." Joey said, feeling that he failed. Yami stood, resting a hand on his shoulder. "Do not fault yourself. I believe you had no idea it was to happen." Joey nodded, fighting any tears that tried to come to the surface.
Yami looked back to Serena. "Lets get her inside. I do not believe there is much we can do for now but help break this fever." Joey came over. "I got her." So he scooped her up into his arms to get her inside.

Joey watched a hooded figure that was next to Serena. Joey looked at him, unsure what was going on and what he was trying to do. Though seeing Tea come over, Joey was going to go against it but sighed with a small smile and knew that it was pointless. He just watched Serena while waiting on Yami. Though didn't like how she was breathing.

Yami looked over to Tea who came over to tell him where Serena was and seemed it to not be so bad. It seemed to be her favorite place to go think. Yami looked from Tea to Yugi before sighing. He wished to stay next to Yugi though seemed to have a pull toward Serena. But he stood. "Here. I can take the pendant back to Serena if you wish. I do not believe that I will be gone long." Yami assured.

Joey was reluctant at first but gave up without showing it and left her alone. There wasn't much he could do if Serena would not let him help. Yami had looked concerned for his partner though obvious the young teen was concerned about him. He walked over toward Yugi, sitting on the arm of the chair that Yugi didn't use if at all. Being handed a cup of tea of which he had not expect at first. Took it with a smile. Though he had not expected for Serena to suddenly disappear. Joey looked around to see her gone and wondered where she could be. So the first place he tried was the backyard. Its was where he figured out where she had been going somethimes while she was here.

Seto opened the door, managing to situate the young teen in his arms carrying him with one arm. Entering, Kaiba went into the living room and made sure to give room for Joey as they came in. Joey felt her shift to get down and lowered to a kneel so she could without hurting herself of falling if she were to lose her balance and fall. He would help her when he could. "Here. Let me help you to the couch." Wheeler offered. Seto took Yugi to one of the recliners and set him there carefully.

Tristen went to go see if Yami was awake. Heading to the tri-color look alikes. Tristen knocked before slowly opening the door and poking his head inside. Yami was still asleep but figured that Yami would want to be awake with Seto, Yugi, Joey and Serena now here. Kneeling beside the bed, he shook Yami's shoulder lightly. "Hey...Yami..." Tristen spoke softly. Trying not to be loud.
There was a groan before eyes shifting and slowly opening to show groggy crimson eyes before they started to look lively. "Hmmmm?...What's going on?" Yami asked. Tristen smiled. "Yugi, Kaiba, Joey and Serena came back." Tristens voice normal.
Yami sat up on the bed before turning to have his feet planted on the floor. "Okay." Tristen looked a little concerned though. The Pharaoh noticed it. "Has something happened?" Yami asked, though he knew himself. Sort of.
Tristen nodded. "Serena looks pretty beat up. Yugi's pretty exhausted." The tri-color haired male nodded. "Will they be okay?" Yami was still concerned and showed it.
Tristen stood up, "Should. Tea wanted me to come get you." And with that Yami slowly stood up from the bed, still in his day clothes and followed Tristen out of the room and into the Living room where they all were. Yami looked rather shocked, not exactly realizing how bad it got. "You alright?" Asking both injured and exhausted members of the group.

Seto shrugged lightly, Yugi raising and falling back where he was when Kaiba picked him up, not speaking a word. Walking continued till they got to a stop light.

Wheeler glanced back a little, feeling her shake. He didn't blame her. "Guess we will find out one day huh?" He asked, not knowing exactly.
