The Rise of the Guardian

Carth came out from behind the wagon then, feeling frustration. Maltoran and Altoron looked back to Carth.

"But you have people that care now. I just found out I'm a freaking beast! You, Ash. Helped me through my time of stress and uncertainty. I have gone my whole life thinking I was alone, meant to be alone with a horse as my only companion! Scarlet reminded me that I'm not alone. Not anymore. And now I'm telling you that you aren't alone either. We're all here for a reason. I think that it's a good thing." Carth ranted and raved. If he wasn't allowed to feel alone and unimportant, than neither could Ash.

The two other men were surprised by the sudden outburst. They noticed Carth's eyes change to golden slips as he was saying his piece. They looked to Ash then.

Maltoran looked to Altoron and then back to Ash. "We do not understand how finding knowledge about oneself not important. Especially since it appears to us that it would seem important to you, no matter how confusing it may seem." Maltoran explained. Carth had stayed behind the wagon as he listened.

Carth peered from around the wagon to with a confused look toward Ash. He didn't understand. How was it not important? He peered away and continued his inspection with a quiet huff. He didn't think he could understand her reasoning when she was the one he rallied behind.

Both men looked confused themselves. "Indeed. We were just about the take stock on what we had and make a list of supplies we need." Maltoran tells her.

Altoron and Maltoran looked to Ash when she arrived, stopping what they were doing to give her their full attention. "We have three as well." Maltoran states. Carth breaks away from Ash to inspect the wagon. "What is the news about Orion?" Altoron asks.

Carth took the book like he was told and put the book away. He can only nod for he wasn't sure what else to do but follow. Remembering more on what he and Scarlet talked about, he could only beat himself up for not being able to talk more and try to reassure her.

When heading stables near the gate, the two assassins were there just finishing the purchase of a covered wagon. It was big enough to house them all comfortably enough if need be.

Carth glanced away, unsure what to do. What could he do? He doesn't know how to help in this fashion. This wasn't really his fault. It was something he hadn't confronted before. He gave a small squeeze to Ash's shoulder. "I'm sorry I wish there was a way I could help you. I'm sorry you are unable to remember. But I hope you are able to remember in time."

Orion continued till he was done, putting a fresh bandage on her back before checking on her to see if she was asleep. If so, he would cover her up with a blanket and leave to close the certain and let her sleep.

Carth looked at the page she was looking at and tilted his head confused about it. Looking at Ash to see her struggling. Looking around he notices a bench and guides her to sit down. "It's okay Ash. Take a breath, what can't you do?" He asks.

"If it continues to heal well, you should be able to move like normal. So far all seems to be fine. Adding some of my power is helping your body repair the worst. You may feel a bit exhausted with your body wanting to heal first and foremost. Spend the next two days resting. I will come to your quarters to apply this again this evening and all of tomorrow." Orion explains to Scarlet. It was just how the body and his power worked. The body did the work. He gives it a boost with medicine and his abilities.

Carth watched Ash as she flipped through the book, the reactions she made. He was preparing for what may happen. When she stopped in her tracks when when he had slowed down to get behind her. Observing Ash intently, his sight noticed she had made no sign to breath. Carefully placed a hand on her shoulder and gave a small squeeze. He hoped that was jarr her from her trance. "Ash? What's the matter?" He asks.

"It's alright. Give it some time. I added some of my power to it so it should give your body the extra boost to heal your wound." He continues to examine the wound while slowly going from the edges toward the center.

Carth had a realization upon remembering where it was. "I do." He maneuvers his bag for better access before digging through it to find thr book. He then hands it to her.

Orion opened the certain and walked up to her, removing her bandages and examining the wound before applying the salve with a bit of his magic to help it heal.

Carth seemed thoughtful upon hearing her question. "It is possible. But would need to find out more." He ponders.
