Bio

Hey all, JB here.

I'm a DM for a large number of games here on RPG, as well as a player in several others. Many of the games I run are overly complex, or they involve Dungeons and Dragons (which is also overly complex!).

I work 40+ hours a week, and am the proud father of two tiny terrors named Chibi and Chibette and married to my beautiful Wifey. As such, I am quite busy more often than not. I typically write 2-5 paragraphs per reply and try to maintain an excellent level of grammar. If you noticed me glancing at your profile, I probably was looking to see if you would be a good match for my RPing style. Even if I didn't send a PM to you, feel free to send one back!

I enjoy 1x1 RPs and small groups. I'm fond of medieval, steampunk, and futuristic settings, and I'll jump into romance, adventure, and slice of life RPs fairly quickly, although supernatural (vampires, werewolves, etc) RPs get old for me pretty quickly. If you're looking for an RP partner and I've glanced at your profile, then I'm most likely willing to give it a shot, but decided against PMing you because I'm actually kinda shy. But I'm always looking for a new friend!

Please feel free to say hi at any time!

Molly's bauble danced as she accepted the potion. "Thank you!" she squealed as she rolled back onto her back, pulling the stopper out with both hands while she gripped the potion with her feet. She then drank the potion, feeling her strength return to her. "Ahhh... not quite as tasty as a Kupo Nut, but it gets the job done. Now, where was I? Oh yes!" She fluttered her wings and rose into the air until she was at eye level with the others.

"I was following some strong magic from that building you just came out of. I'm a researcher of sorts. Magic is pretty rare unless it comes from fal'Cie, l'Cie, or manadrives. I'm one of the few people I know that can use magic naturally! All thanks to this bauble." Molly tapped the crystalline pom-pom that dangled from an antenna sprouting from the center of her head. "But I've never seen as much magical energy as the discharge that knocked me out of the sky, especially not all at once. And then of course, there's the Cie'th. But what was in there? From my readings, that's almost as powerful as a fal'Cie!"
@The Mighty Hero Alright, updated CS and the Chars tab with the new info. Thanks!
@The Mighty Hero

Just rolled up stats on Roll20 for S&G, and that site likes me a lot more >.< I won't beg to use these instead, but I sure wouldn't complain if you let me. If you want further proof that the numbers aren't fudged, I can provide it, but it takes a bit of time :P
My rolls were 12, 11, 12, 10, 15, and 14.

New Rolls:
16 - 11 - 14 - 10 - 10 - 13

Yeah, RPG's dice roller doesn't like me. With my racial mods, the first set is stronger for me >.<
Seeing how many melee fighters we have, I get impression this is how our front line will look

That's why I decided to go ranged :P

@The Mighty Hero, my PC is up on the Chars tab. You mentioned the option to reroll? What are your rules for that? Could we stay with our current rolls if the new one is worse? My PC only really needs decent Dex and Int, but having better Con would be very helpful.
"Oh, th-thank you!" the creature cried out in response. "I was just fluttering by watching the fireworks show when this blast of energy knocked me out of the sky. I tried to stay aloft, but I think my wing is hurt." The creature pointed to one of the purple bat-like wings that sprouted from her back. From her testimonial, it seemed these tiny wings gave her the ability to fly. "As for me, my name is Mo... uh... Molly. Yeah! I'm a Moogle, but I'm not like those normal kupo-spewing, cutemongering, pompom-fluffed moogles. I'm dangerous!"

If Molly didn't look so pitiful on the ground, her arms barely able to reach the ground to pull her forward, her declaration of danger may have been seen as comical. As it was, Julian held back a chuckle as he wracked his brain on these creatures. Moogles had been mentioned in one of his briefings as a Pulsian creature with some potential, but that they were definitely too dim-witted and fearful to be useful. Perhaps Molly was different. "What can we do to help, Molly?" he asked, deciding to focus on the situation at hand before trying to recap what had just happened before he was even certain of it himself. Besides, they did npt know the origin of the moogle. Perhaps she was a spy from Cocoon. Seeing a Pulse brand on them may cause troubles.

"I'm just a little hurt," Molly replied. "I'm sure if you could find me a Kupo Nut, I would be just fine. No... no more Kupo Nuts. I'm getting chubby. A Potion should do, I think."
As the group discussed their next move, a cry of alarm came from outside the warehouse. Julian looked up immediately, conceen writ on his face. "We can decide on the way," he said. "For now, I'll take the Mark." In a single motion, he slipped the Magician's Mark from the items Noir held and placed in on his arm. "Let's go!"

Julian led the way outside, but stopped short when he opened the door. The sounds of battle were silenced, and the flames of war that had burned previously were frozen into crystalline shards of amber. The only sign of life in the area was a small white creature crawling on the ground. "Ohhh kupooo," she muttered quietly before glancing up at the group. "Hey! Hey, you guys! What happened? And uh... help, pleeease?"
The party separated into their two rooms, the prisoners kept with Lex and Ulor, tossed in a heap on the floor. Despite it being around noontime, the exertion of the previous battle was enough to send everyone straight to slumber. No one heard when the mystic woman slipped out the doors, nor when the prisoners loosed their poorly-tied bonds and disappeared into the city streets.

The evening approached, and the group awoke as the tavern began to increase in volume, the late supper crowd filling its tables. Meditations and prayers were had, spells were prepared, and the group set out on their way, feeling fully rested, if not a bit perturbed at their fewer numbers.

Following Yvah and Ary through the streets, the group had an opportunity to explain the circumstances to their new party member in whatever detail they felt sufficient. They approached the address provided, but the doors were shut and the lights were low. Perhaps this was the wrong place? The cathedral loomed before them, seemingly nondescript on the outside without as much as a holy symbol on the door. As they stood in front of the building, quiet chantong could be heard from within, proving that it was not as empty as it first swemed.
