No the story seems very straight through. Though I wonder what all roles within the Alliance are we playing or are we playing the Grim Seven. Either way it would be fine with me I just want to be sure.

To make it clearer, we won't be taking the role of Grim Seven. The platoon that was sent in response to their short message, still to be named, is our position in the story. The group consists of six pilots, two Captains, and fourty six soldiers all of different specialisations, but mostly the same area of combat. The platoon travels in three separate spacecraft, one gunship and two multi-use transporters, which will be specified in RP.

Each one will play in important role, even if their destiny is to fail based upon believing they can achieve based on will and spirit.
I am very interested! This sounds right up my alley of random sci-fi knowledge and my LOVE of Star Wars.

Nice! Good to know I've got someone! Do you have any queries about this?

Whilst the Galactic Empire remains at its peak control over the Galaxy, it brings with it a parallel progression of the Galactic Civil War. The Rebel Alliance, desperate to see the Empire crumble for their war-crimes that spread on an unimaginable scale, fight on-wards to see their cause complete, at whatever the cost. So when Bothan Spies receive information about a new Star Destroyer being developed, it would be no surprise that the Rebel Alliance would want to retrieve and exploit as much information on it to the best of their ability.

A Rebel Alliance espionage team, consisting of 7 able fighters under the name of Grim Seven, were deployed on Tatooine to gather as much information as possible, and weren't surprised about how long it took to piece together the information on the plan's development location. The lengthy time had paid off, and the team sent themselves once again to a mid-rim planet under the name of Housun, a mix between urbanised landscapes to dense forests and mountains secretly under the control of an Imperial Fleet. Due to it being controlled via incognito standards, a small team was predicted to be able in completing a retrieval mission. Those predictions were wrong.

A suspected traitor amongst the ranks of the Rebel Alliance spouted information of the Rebel's plans to steal the documents and potentially sabotage the facility, resulting in the team seemingly disappearing from existence within an instant. No word came through of their whereabouts, or current status, and remained like such for days to come.

But after a month of confusion and unanswered questions, a file began to be sent to a Rebel General's personal databank. Before the file was completely sent, its remainder data was cancelled, making the file corrupted. After opening the file, the Rebel Alliance were greeted by a holographic message from Jy' Naheem, one of the members of Grim Seven, that began to spout out the success of the mission. However, due to the file's corruption, the message was cut off relatively early through its playback, and key points were seemingly still unanswered; but this provided the Rebel Alliance with a place to start.

Knowing that the plans could still potentially be within their own hands, the Alliance began to become determined towards retrieving the plans, and potentially the original team if possible. Whether or not the information was still correct was uncertain, and a gamble between only failure and victory was juggled in the hands of the Council. After debates ended, a platoon of 54 Rebel Fighters were gathered in preparation for beginning a search for these plans, beginning with a dangerous place to start...

The Imperial Facility on Housun.

So, this is basically an idea around the Rebel's continuing their data-gathering stage. I guess it is very similar to that of Episode IV and Rogue One, but in a non-canon way. From that, there won't be any major characters from the actual canon series taking place in this idea. To gather a even more basic description, the players would take up a role of one of the Rebels from this platoon in their attempts to go from a standard retrieval mission to a full-scale battle. That means the action would potentially increase overtime with more and more tension building up as many mistakes are made.

Instead of constant success, the theme is constant defeat, seeing as the regular series usually ends with a major victory for the Alliance (If you don't count the expanded universe). I'm not planning on focusing it on this single planet, as the group'll become mislead or forced to retreat, but eventual loops will make them seem as if they are running in circles around an unwinnable fight. Basically, it's showing that hope isn't always going to beat an immense military superpower.

I want to focus this more on Character narration than star wars battles as such, but a nice blend between the two will hopefully keep it interesting if it does succeed. All of this is still, clearly, under development and discussion, and if those who are interested have any ideas to improve upon this basic one please feel free to share them. Same goes for questions and queries about the topic.

Fae Nikia

A rustle amongst the bushes to the lake's shore caused his eyes to open. They snapped, and almost immediately, he launched the back half of his body behind the rocks he sat upon. Someone was coming, but who was it? That was something he didn't know...It was something he couldn't help but become paranoid about. His arms began to tense, and strain, as his concentration went fully into his magi. The tension of Fae's body made him lose track of the noises, but soon enough a shell of hard rock and tough stone forged around his top half, the side not concealed by the bushes behind. One arm reached for a crossbow, the other a bolt, as he instantaneously loaded the round in preparation to fire upon any Thalburn soldier that poked their head out. If he were to die, then it'd be he-

But it wasn't the Thalburn. In fact, it was actually something, or someone, quite surprising. A man, not dressed to any military standards, came wading through the water gently. He hadn't spotted Fae, due to the camouflage he made himself, and the magi ability. The only thing that was visible was the shimmer of his eyes and the crossbow itself, which was painted to suit his ability. He watched him, slowly making his way across the lake to the shallow ends, where he began to set up multiple small objects, as if marking out an area. What had he stumbled upon? Why were all these encounters happening now?

Next, a show of unbelievable proportion. It was magnificent. The man moved slowly, as if training himself in hand-to-hand combat, across a small area. Fae saw him move pace occasionally, but his maintain of pace was incredible. He kept his aim, however, in case. Studying was wise. Flashes of memories kept flowing through his mind about the Monks of Gre'ta Noe. Those were true masters of movement, especially when Fae had to train against one. Yet, there was a weakness in them. Fae knew that to beat a man in hand-to-hand combat, weapons needed to be brought. His hatchets...And preferably his crossbow.

When Fae was sure he wasn't an ultimate threat, he stood up. The scraping of rock against one another echoed through the silent waves of the lake as he put the effort and strenuous power into covering his legs. It hurt, in all honesty. But it was just to be careful. As he was sure the figure had caught his attention, he moved closer. The echoes of rock bounced between the trees and foliage on an immense scale. It was sometimes like the gunfire of MiddleSeed, with every rock clamping against one another. Fae reached a certain distance, and began to loosen his muscles, the Magi ability sinking back into his body. The rock's seemed to fade into his skin, once more. He stared him in the eyes, before putting the weapon to his side. His tone was low, but not hostile.

"Tocha ni, ro mana ei trequele." He started with his own tongue. It's a peaceful place, isn't it? The ambience feels right; a gateway to another realm where the troubles of war and oppression are subsided for peace and tranquillity..." He paused, thinking to himself for a moment. "I'd never thought to see someone else out here. Probably the same for your end of the line...Kind of like one of the Monks of Gre'ta. Tolo Weys de Farsnaoel...The harbingers of pace, as they used to go by. Now...I just hope that you are like them, along the lines of peace, and not by their ways of training and combat..." He nodded down to his crossbow, but gave expression that it was not intended on harm unless with reason. "So who might you be, sir?"
