You likah the spinning globes?
I'm going to have to cancel this RP, unfortunately, as myself have lost interest in this RP due to other things taking over, me reviewing the idea as uninteresting and overall losing one of two players. I apologise greatly.

Whilst the Galactic Empire remains at its peak control over the Galaxy, it brings with it a parallel progression of the Galactic Civil War. The Rebel Alliance, desperate to see the Empire crumble for their war-crimes that spread on an unimaginable scale, fight on-wards to see their cause complete, at whatever the cost. So when Bothan Spies receive information about a new Star Destroyer being developed, it would be no surprise that the Rebel Alliance would want to retrieve and exploit as much information on it to the best of their ability.

A Rebel Alliance espionage team, consisting of 7 able fighters under the name of Grim Seven, were deployed on Tatooine to gather as much information as possible, and weren't surprised about how long it took to piece together the information on the plan's development location. The lengthy time had paid off, and the team sent themselves once again to a mid-rim planet under the name of Housun, a mix between urbanised landscapes to dense forests and mountains secretly under the control of an Imperial Fleet. Due to it being controlled via incognito standards, a small team was predicted to be able in completing a retrieval mission. Those predictions were wrong.

A suspected traitor amongst the ranks of the Rebel Alliance spouted information of the Rebel's plans to steal the documents and potentially sabotage the facility, resulting in the team seemingly disappearing from existence within an instant. No word came through of their whereabouts, or current status, and remained like such for days to come.

But after a month of confusion and unanswered questions, a file began to be sent to a Rebel General's personal databank. Before the file was completely sent, its remainder data was cancelled, making the file corrupted. After opening the file, the Rebel Alliance were greeted by a holographic message from Jy' Naheem, one of the members of Grim Seven, that began to spout out the success of the mission. However, due to the file's corruption, the message was cut off relatively early through its playback, and key points were seemingly still unanswered; but this provided the Rebel Alliance with a place to start.

Knowing that the plans could still potentially be within their own hands, the Alliance began to become determined towards retrieving the plans, and potentially the original team if possible. Whether or not the information was still correct was uncertain, and a gamble between only failure and victory was juggled in the hands of the Council. After debates ended, a platoon of 54 Rebel Fighters were gathered in preparation for beginning a search for these plans, beginning with a dangerous place to start...

Welcome to this rendition of a Star Wars story, based around the non-canon events of a Rebellion Major Defeat in the development of the Galactic Civil War. By that, I don't mean a total defeat, but on the scale of a significant battleground. The situation that is the focus is the platoon under designation 'Forest V'. 54 Strong during the start of their mission, this platoon will grow, shrink and merge alongside other Rebellion Platoons as the story continues, as this is their story of how they were sent on a mission that was expected to be swift, only to turn into a deadly battleground and finally resulting in a significant victory for the Galactic Empire.

Forest V is a force made up of volunteers from Rebels from both Yavin IV and Ethora with the soul objective to retrieve the plans for the new Imperial Superweapon, the Hailfire Star Destroyer, a new battleship looking to be implemented amongst the Empire's Fleet. The second objective of this team is to extract or find leads towards Grim Seven, the original team used on the mission, in order to gather the information if possible. Made up of able fighters of different backgrounds, specialities and roles, they come as a capable force for the mission as predicted by the council. The force itself consists of 8 pilots, 2 captains and 44 specialised rebel troopers, and were predicted to be one of the most well-composed battle groups for planetary espionage and recovery upon construction.

When it comes to their individual rankings, we have their specialisations. The Rebel Troopers of this Force consist of, at minimum, combat efficient users. Some have had more experience than others. Many of the troopers volunteered off of wanting to play a role in the major movement of the Rebellion, whilst some did it knowing they had the experience. A balance between the old and young is very common amongst the Rebels, as of this force. All of the troopers are equipped for basic combat, and can operate well in generalised firefights and battle situations, but each one has their own advantage and disadvantage based on what they were trained as. The specialisations follow as...

The Force of Forest V are spread amongst three separate ships that have been donated from the Alliance itself for the task. For general living quarters and light defence amongst troop and equipment transportation, the Rebel Alliance were charitable to lend them two Consular Class-Cruisers, the Whistler and Redeemer, both with light defences to fend off fighters and bombers. Small pods that can carry up to six soldiers are fitted either side, 2x2, for quick deployment if need be. As the main escort and defence for the cruisers, the Alliance handed them the Imperial-stolen YE-4 Gunship, known as the Deacon. This is their main transport, before the entire Rebel Fleet eventually get themselves involved.

This story is most likely going to end in death. A lot of death. Characters die, mid-rp and at the end. This is a failure after-all, just a gradual one. Though characters can survive, it'd be based upon personal decisions made throughout the story, rather than a selection process. Who knows...Maybe everyone dies...Or no one? The CS below can be customised to however you please, just as long as the necessary information is inside it. You can add things and merge sections together too.

As for the Rules of this RP...Mostly just the standard rules for the Site. This Roleplay may include some, hopefully, dark themes when the trend of defeat kicks in, as well as minor gore. As it is character driven, relationships of hatred or love can develop as long as they are reasonable. It means that the narration will be driven on further, so the differences and similarities between one another will strongly affect how the Roleplay goes and what happens to the non-player characters, as well as eventually the real characters themselves. Any questions are to be brought to me, and I hope that we can all enjoy this roleplay like I hope I want to!
I am interested as well.

I'll also tag you in the OOC when completed.
@LetMeDoStuff

Awesome! Sounds good. Just keep me posted when the OOC is done and I will share the link with some of my friends to see if they will join as well!

Will Do!
@LetMeDoStuff

Yep, it was as sad as David Bowie and Alack Rickmam.

Sad things aside, I'm halfway through the OOC, and am just fining out all the terrible lines, adding a bit of extra plot here and there into the brief of the storyline. It'll give an insight on the Platoon itself and what characters we'll be taking up.
@LetMeDoStuff

Awesome that sounds good. That and in light of the loss of Princess Leia and her mother for that matter, it only makes sense that I do some Star Wars RP in her honor. No I wont be using them as characters obviously, but it will make me feel better.

Mmmhmm. T'is the saddest loss of the entire year, in the line of celebrity deaths.
@LetMeDoStuff

Sounds good. I will spread the word around to some people that I know that might be interested

Oh, wait, really? Holy shit that'd be awesome! I mean, you being interested is enough help but this is brilliant! In that case, I'll get to work on the official OOC tonight in return. I'll start it in an hour!
@LetMeDoStuff

Oh okay that makes a lot more sense. Thank you for clearing it up more. That sounds like a lot more fun actually since it opens up more opportunity for specializations.

The specialisations will be focused on their weaponry, attire, advantages, disadvantages and equipment to expand their places to flourish and to assist in developing characters. All will be somewhat able in general firefights, but maybe not as effective as others.
