Section #1: Jig Being Right

It has come to my attention, that I am primarily right and drunk.

Jig is completely right.

Jig is right.

[11.01.50] Gowi:

Jig is right. Feel free to send that along.

[Jig is] 100% correct.

Jig was right 8 months ago, and is still right.

I love you, Jig. It's because you're Always Right™.

Once again, Jig is absolutely right about this.

Where is Jig when I need to vent about politics?
Drunk.

The mighty Jig is of course right.

Section #2: Jig's RP's

I'm not post-dating RP's I've been in that died out of nowhere and I've basically forgotten about, so here are my present ones.

Current:

Previous:

Wolf Manor (GM)

Wink Murder (GM)

Project Rehab (Player)

The Kidnapping (Player)

Wink murder: Who Killed Mr. Jig? (GM)

Finite Incantatem (Co-GM)

New Dawn Rising (Player)

I always think the Pokemon franchise goes really neatly with a dystopian vibe. Would there be any interest for this if I worked on it a little? I really liked the underlying corruption and implied darkness of team rocket in the first couple of games.

I'd also want to somewhat de-anime and de-cartoon the world a little bit, in keeping with the slightly more adult, darker theme.

If you're interested/have ideas, let me know.

Also let me know if you want my friend code for an X/Y battle. :)

I don't know, if dialogue is just used a filler for a post, I'd get annoyed reading it if it had no merit or value to the post. Don't force writing or try to use smoke and mirrors. I try to discourage posters to rely on just doing a back-and-forth between them and a NPC or secondary character. (ex: someone plays as siblings and they tend to post the siblings interacting with each other and no one else) Collabs are different of course but it's easy to tell if a writer is interested and engaged, or nervous and drawing a blank. Some posts don't need to span for miles and miles, each roleplay is different. I don't fret too much, Rare. In time, your reservations won't be so daunting. You just need to jump in and try, don't psych yourself out or compare yourself to someone else.Just write for you and your fellow buddies. A good story will come without pressure or anxiety.

This, this, this.

But, to expand:

From what I've seen, the Advanced Section isn't monitored by moderators, and so the actual guidelines are to justify GMs enforcing their preferences. That is to say, it's really up to the GMs what their standards are.

GMs vary. Some value post length. Others don't. I certainly don't when I GM. The reason for this is that post length is a hugely arbitrary factor. Theoretically, you could randomly write five paragraphs on how your character feels about different foods in the middle of a fight scene - it won't make your post better. It'll just make it longer, and worse for it. Probably for this reason, I frequently see posts of just one or two paragraphs in the Advanced Section with nobody batting an eyelid. Far more important, in my book, are decent writing ability, where your post introduces new idea and new drive to the story.

Basically, it boils down to common sense. If the GM is explicitly a stickler for post length, perhaps that's not the RP for you. However, you shouldn't let something so arbitrary put you off giving it a go, especially if you're otherwise confident in your RPing. Give it a go.

Might want to look over those rules again.

Herp a derp.

Raxacoricofallapatorius said I'm not worried about duplicate character traits. Some of them are similar, yes, but that's to be expected. I've actually gotten a wide variety of character types, I really like this method of character submission and will probably use it in the future. I don't want there to be any pressure on the player for their character to be or not be a certain way depending on other characters. Acceptance into the RP depends on the player's own role-playing ability, not so much what their character is like.

Seems legit.
Will the sheets become public, incidentally? I tend to make sure I know exactly who and what I'm working with in an RP. I think it helps to work out interaction and stuffs beforehand.

It also helps people not accidentally reduplicate primary character traits when they make their own character, by double-checking that nobody else has used those traits. Obviously I've already sent in my sheet so that's not a factor, but it may come in handy for others. :)
How many sheets have you received thus far?
