Section #1: Jig Being Right

It has come to my attention, that I am primarily right and drunk.

Jig is completely right.

Jig is right.

[11.01.50] Gowi:

Jig is right. Feel free to send that along.

[Jig is] 100% correct.

Jig was right 8 months ago, and is still right.

I love you, Jig. It's because you're Always Right™.

Once again, Jig is absolutely right about this.

Where is Jig when I need to vent about politics?
Drunk.

The mighty Jig is of course right.

Sweden hosted Eurovision in 2013 and it was just magnificent. The hosts are normally charisma-vacuums with lame jokes but the woman in the video decided to host the show and be the half-time entertainment. She's just spectacular. Then Denmark hosted it this year and I remember nothing about it.
Any time I describe anything Swedish, I'm taking my information directly from this. Keep an eye out for the dancing meatballs and horse-meat scandal references.

I had a job like that and it's really really awful. *hugs*

I have a few hours before Jig's Infinitely Generous Partner picks me up for the weekend so I might try to cobble something together if I can stay lucid.
@Notorious, did you tell me whereabouts in the country James would be from?

MyCatGinger said And Jig, stop swinging that arm around, damnit...and putting excessive amounts of pressure on it, too. I've actually never really had trouble with bees or even wasps before, They just consciously avoid me.

I keep forgetting it's ****ed and hurting it just through stupid. Normally I just tell wasps quite sternly where they can shove their spiky arses and they do listen, but I was using my laptop in a dark room so it got very excited by the brightness, which is where I was.

@Call - congratulations! The big two-oh is horrifying.
Congrats. Looking forward to the post, but I'm on GMT time so it might happen at any magical point in my timeline xD

I may be waylaid for a couple of days. I had an argument with a wasp that decided to get too friendly, and leant on my broken arm when I dodged the stripy bandit and it hurts like hell. There's a chance I'll be smacked out of my head on codeine today as a result, and I'm trying to spend some quality time with Jig's Much-Maligned Partner this weekend as well as visiting a bank and watching Doctor Who (omgomgomgomg) tomorrow and time I do get on RPG will be keeping an eye on my RP next door because it's about to start when I get couple of things in order, so that'll get first shout. I'm sure you know what GMing's like. I'm waiting on one damn character sheet that will directly affect my character's sheet, and my character will be the one that starts the RP, so that needs sorting ASAP.

I'll definitely be free all Sunday, though and there's a decent chance I'll be able to keep on top of reading posts and generally being around the OoC but a proper IC post is unlikely to surface until Sunday.
Awh man, I can't stand musicians that can just 'hear' the difference just out of jealousy. Even as a semi-professional musician (very semi, very semi indeed...), I've had to work crazy hard to even hear the difference between two different notes when other people just 'get it'. People insist that I'm musical just because I'm interested and do gig with a band (or did play, depending on my arm), but I find all of it crazy hard; timing, pitch, rhythm, all of it, and while I can play some decent bass, I'm really untechnical and take ages to learn new stuff or to build a bassline to an original song.

I used to take flute as a kid with sheet music, but I wished I'd taken almost any other instrument, where the body is in control of what note is being played, rather than relying on a combination of keys or frets to guide the note into the right place. I kinda feel like it's 'cheating' and it's really hampered my ability to correct. I'm wondering whether putting markers on my cello to mark the 7th and 9th of each string will slow me down in the long-run, even if it's torturous at the minute.
Ha. I considered trying the (electric) violin when Jig's Very Patient Partner got one for themselves. Hey, I thought, I play fretless bass/electric double bass - I'm used to fingerboards. I bet it'll be easy!

No.

I didn't like the upside-downiness, the pegs, or the MASSIVE difference a very slightly misplaced finger makes. At least the cello sits where you put it and isn't QUITE so picky about where you finger it.
Time was I wanted to learn how to make clothes, but the finance, patience and expertise in getting started just aren't things I have. I think I decided at one point to either take up the cello one day eventually or the sewing machine one day eventually and I chose the loud one to make everybody, not just me, suffer from my inability. xD
I know a lot of people do this so I'm worried I might ruffle feathers, but...

People who have a stock selection of characters that they use for all the RPs they play in. If I'm GMing an RP, I want people to come up with characters to fit the RP, not crowbar their old ones into the setting.

To me, this practise doesn't say "I really like this RP's concept and want to embrace and be a part of the world" so much as "I really like this thing I've already worked on and now I get to use it again", which isn't really very inspiring.

I'm sure plenty of people see it very differently, but that's my reaction to it.
Bear with me, guys. I'm waiting on one more sheet before we start this; it will be another progeny of Albert's, and so will affect his character, and since he'll be the one I use to get the ball rolling, I want to know what I'm doing with him before we begin.
