Section #1: Jig Being Right

It has come to my attention, that I am primarily right and drunk.

Jig is completely right.

Jig is right.

[11.01.50] Gowi:

Jig is right. Feel free to send that along.

[Jig is] 100% correct.

Jig was right 8 months ago, and is still right.

I love you, Jig. It's because you're Always Right™.

Once again, Jig is absolutely right about this.

Where is Jig when I need to vent about politics?
Drunk.

The mighty Jig is of course right.

You might notice that one character has made a return appearance from Woll Manor (at least in spirit and to my pleasure).

AHHHHHHHHHHH FEEEEEEEELLIIIIIIIIIIIXXXXXXXX

Not just me then. Good-oh.

I tried to Photoshop the picture of the manor into something foreboding-looking, but I've made something that looks like a child did it. If anybody can do anything cool with the image (which I've left intact on the OoC tab), please do. ^^
Oh yes.

You might notice that one character has made a return appearance from Woll Manor (at least in spirit and to my pleasure).
Forgot to mention under characters: characters should speak English at a native level and not speak German or French.
NPCs

This is basic information that will be immediately available to your character upon arrival, and they may even have managed to Wiki them if they're being 'cautious'. While these characters should be considered NPC's, I will be playing them as required.

The Wolfs

The Wolfs are indeed a German semi-autocratic family rumoured to distantly be connected to the British monarchy. They are, however, a small family. Officially, Gertrud is the head of the family and inherited the estate from her late husband, Johannes. However, Sol is the real head of the family due to both his mother's ailing sanity and the family's preference for patriarchal power. Lena and Maria are twins, and Sol's sisters.

The Main Staff

While many staff will be seen running events (whom you players should control freely), these main ones are also my NPC agents. Klara Beck is head of staff, and theoretically the senior to both Felix and Michael. However, as Michael is Sol's right-hand man in terms of the legal maintenance of the family's fortune and estate, they are of equal seniority. Felix, the sole Frenchman among the Wolfs' entourage, is officially the 'host'. That is, it is his job to know each member of the family and their guests like the back of his hand, and make sure they want for nothing. If you need anything, particularly the best cocktail you've ever drunk, Felix is your man (as you will be informed on arrival).

Other Staff

There may well be other staff to be used as devices as required. You may yourselves control staff and I dare say that I will at some point as well.
The same fundamental archetypes are fine, I guess, but if any of us revealed any personal information, I'm going to suggest it be different.

In fairness, it doesn't have to be changed - but it might well not be the same.
Either way they'll still be somewhat based on you, but starting from scratch means obliterating all prior OoC knowledge from Woll.

they all probably died anyway. thanks bliss
New characters though please. >:D

The Past Is In the Past

(or so you thought)

Tl;dr

It's back.

On the off-chance you're actually genuinely new to this, Wolf Manor is the spiritual successor to Woll Manor, a game that some of us miss so much we had to give it another chance. Long story short: you're the lucky lucky winner of an all-expenses paid trip to a luxury mansion in Southwest Germany.

What could possibly go wrong?

You'll have to wait and find out. You might even survive. This is simultaneously a GM-guided RP and a player-guided one. I have a loose narrative that I'm going to follow, and your characters are going to react to it. What you do will affect the plot as your characters try to work out/get the hell away from the mansion's secrets. All the while, I will be tinkering behind the scenes, sending you all super-secret PMs of details to include in your IC posts. You're going to be kept in the dark and I hope Bliss gets a good taste of her own medicine.

New Players?

This is very much a group RP and we have most of the players already lined up. Therefore, we have extremely limited space for maybe one or two other people (absolute maximum), so, if you are interested, pleeeease understand the commitment level: if we accept you, we're almost certainly not going to accept the next guy, and if you drop out, you robbed somebody else of a spot. If you want in, please make yourself known here and PM me what your character does when they find the briefcase in their room.

Characters

As part of keeping you poor little duckies in the dark, there will be no character sheets. Everything your characters know will be determined and revealed in the IC. Older players: please use new characters, by the way (for the same reason) but feel free to base them on yourselves. Every character should PM me the reason they're making the highly idiotic mistake of actually going on this bloody trip without taking narrative-destroying safety precautions: perhaps a dark secret, or their life is going nowhere, or maybe they are just actually incredibly stupid. Also PM me a picture. All characters should be native English speakers, with no useful French or German. Anything else you can tell me about them is a bonus and will help me run the game.

Boom. We're back.
The Past Is In the Past

(or so you thought)

Wolf Manor

Arrival

It could have been any other day. It should have been any other day. There was nothing out of the ordinary. The date was the 25th of May, 2015, and it was so mundane you should have known your life was going to explode around you. You woke up. You did whatever you did; you dropped the kids off at school; you pushed numbers around a computer screen at work; you sat on your sofa looking for jobs in the paper. It didn’t matter. Normalcy was the word of the day. Even the weather was bland, gently cloudy but, apart from that, beyond note.

And then, the briefcase. Quite how it got inside your house you’ll never know, but it’s lying there on its side precisely one foot away from the door obviously so that you would find it. There’s no evidence of your door being tampered. Who could have left it there?

You’re going to tell someone. You have to. You’re living in the modern world with terrorists and psychopaths running loose. It’s the only responsible thing to do.

... but you’re just going to take a quick peek inside first. Obviously.

You scurry into a room where you can investigate properly and you don’t know why, but your heartrate jumps up to the point where you can hear the blood rushing past the veins in your ears. Of all the things you were expecting to find, a letter, your own passport, and roughly five thousand dollars’ worth of your native currency hadn’t really scored highly. The party popper was a complete curveball, however.

Regardless of what you investigate first, inevitably your trembling hands prise open the letter from its envelope. It actually takes your eyes a moment to adjust to the cursive writing, but the penmanship is exquisite. It reads:

Dear ______

Congratulations! You have been chosen as the choice receiver of an all-expenses paid trip to the Wolf Manor! Located in Bavaria, Germany, this estate has been passed down from generation to generation. As part of the Wolf family's tradition, a lucky few has been selected to stay at the luxury home for ten days, from the 11th of June to the 21st, to celebrate the Summer Solstice.

Enclosed you will find your passport and some money that we hope will cover your expenses: in particular, be advised that there will be many events hosted at Wolf Manor over your stay and, as such, we recommend purchasing primarily formal wear. You should also find attached flight details: a private jet will be issued, and therefore a ticket is unnecessary. ID, such as the passport which will already be present, is all that will be required.

We hope you will accept our offer, as we very much look forward to meeting with you.

Sincerely,
Michael Aust

Secretary of The Wolf Estate

You’re not going to go. You’re not stupid. It’s a scam. But what sort of scam sends you five thousand smackers up-front...? As you sit there, silently surrounded by plane tickets and passports and a ridiculous amount of cash, the question lurks in the air like a thick mist: do you accept?
