Section #1: Jig Being Right

It has come to my attention, that I am primarily right and drunk.

Jig is completely right.

Jig is right.

[11.01.50] Gowi:

Jig is right. Feel free to send that along.

[Jig is] 100% correct.

Jig was right 8 months ago, and is still right.

I love you, Jig. It's because you're Always Right™.

Once again, Jig is absolutely right about this.

Where is Jig when I need to vent about politics?
Drunk.

The mighty Jig is of course right.

Suppose you’d done something wrong. Okay, I get it; you’re human. Of course you’d done something wrong. But imagine if you were one of those people that did something really wrong and got away with it. Could you sleep at night? Could you get up and eat breakfast and go to work and come home with that guilt resting on your back?

Of course you could.

See, that’s the thing with the past. You can’t just stroll into the future and leave it behind you and, sooner or later, it’ll catch up with you, just as if you pulled the pin on a live grenade and put it in your pocket.

Boom. Almost concurrently across the world, a handful of letters were sent, each unique but bearing the same inscription in mismatched letters clipped from newspapers:

I know your dirty little secret.
Will be in touch.

- Mr. Jig

Mr. Jig always keeps his promises and, sure enough, he was in touch. Apparently, and, naturally, to the great surprise of all concerned, he had demands.
I wouldn't call eight small. I'd call it medium-large.

I wouldn't worry about the tags too much (assuming that's why you're asking). People will check out your game based on the other tags and title more than group-size. Either way, you can just stipulate in the OoC how many players you're looking for, but if you want exactly eight players (ie: no fewer), you might find that challenging, depending on how popular your idea is. Some games aren't that popular (which is no reflection on whether they're 'good' or not), but you don't always get as many players as you're looking for. #bitterexperience
As many as you like. Ideally each one should speak for itself.

Edit:

One of you sent me some suggestions, and I gave this guidance, which might be useful for everybody.

I'd rather it be a physical object. It could perhaps be a written testimony, but there would need to be an actual manifestation. Again, similar to Clue. ♫ [see note below]

The more the object speaks for itself, the better. Like, if it were a murder weapon, that's pretty obvious. [REDACTED] might need a little more explanation, and the less explanation, the better from my standing. It should be something that if your character sees it, they'll understand immediately what it is and basically go 'oh crap'.

Clue is a brilliant film that has more than just a little bit inspired this game in plot, if not in tone. Yes, it is based on the board game Clue (or Cluedo, as it's called over here).
Nope, nothing like that.

I like to keep as few arbitrary restrictions in this as possible. I'm not quite sure how much like Wolf Manor it's going to be, but in Wolf, we seem to be running things by sections: one section might be characters reacting to plot events, one might be an opportunity for mass exploration, another is a chance for character development/interaction, etc.

In other news, I'm sorry this is taking so long. I need to get my creativity flowing at a point when I'm not too drunk/high to actually get stuff down.

In further other news: While I may or may not use them, could each of you brainstorm a piece of 'evidence' that Mr. Jig might have gotten his grubby mitts on? It'd be nice to have a variety of different things, and not just documents, so get your thinking caps on and PM me when you've got something.
Yes, but I'm too drunk to make it happen right now.
It's no problem guys! It's pretty ambiguous either way.

Although if your character happens to utter the Dark Lord's name outside Rosaline Hall, you might have a lovely group of Death Eaters dropped on your head courtesy of the GM ;)

I don't like to point out typos, but you typed 'might' instead of 'will'.

Heh. If this was one of my games, I wouldn't even warn you. >:D
Jig's 'Here, Have Some Info' Dump

Ie: please don't post here if your name isn't Jig.

Alright guys, here's the OoC. It's pretty sparse at the minute because I'm a lazy lazy GM, but, when I get off my arse and actually start dealing with this, the game's probably gonna look like this, based on how Wolf Manor seems to work.

  • I post a plot-advancing post in the IC.
  • I post a 'some details that are public knowledge' in the not-aptly named Character Tab (like environment details for example).
  • I PM those of you with secret plot bits and suchlike.
  • You guys do your thang.
  • My plot gets ruined because you did something unexpected.
  • You guys shout when you're done/want more input from me.
  • Return to Step One.

The Canon Cutoff

When you post your first post in the IC, that's boom; your character sheet is in lock-down and may not be changed under any circumstances. I tailor these games to your characters, so if suddenly you want to have brought a revolver but it's not in the details you sent to me, you're not getting one. Don't post your sheets in here, obviously.
♫ no
Okay, I was mostly high and very gently panicking about where people were in this and when/if we were expecting stuff.

At this point, I'm just gently panicking about what people are planning to do next.

Jiggaling

Top notch, by the way.

As Ginger said, if we want to have Bliss with us to do this lake scene

Is 'this lake scene' one you're planning as part of log activities, or one you think I have planned for your nice peaceful day of actual holiday?
