okay, watched the first episode of goblin slayer, not nearly as bad as what it was made out to be. Still a bit depressing but hey, saved 2 of 4 rookies, coulda been worse.

So i figured out, as much as id love the equivalent of an anime doom guy slaying goblins, i dont like seeing the lovely anime chicas catch a case of the mutilation.

Bio

Why hello, you little stalker. As you can see above I have recorded your visit for potential future stalking purposes. In that list you may find some other recent stalking victims. You may wonder, "Oh no! I've been caught! Whatever shall I do! What will become of me!" Well... I can assure you nothing....as in really...nothing. Except the fact that you may have wasted a precious few moments of your life with this bio. In this, I can say for every person that reads this, I have stolen that moment in your life that you could have been doing something else. Anything really.....Are you still here? Shouldn't you...I don't know, be posting in one of your RPs? I'm sure somebody is waiting for your response, it might even be me. You are procrastinating aren't you? I know I am. At the very moment I typed this I was supposed to be writing papers for class. See? Now I've been wasting time on both our accounts. Look what you made me do.

Ok, that is enough stalking...

...

There really isn't anything else here...

I'm gonna call the police...

Waiting to see if theres a response from Holland character before posting

this person just guessed my last name through a typo lol.
well played
@Subject Zero haha, yep, though different styles it would seem. If you want to have known Garsin you can, being that he's been there a long time. May even supply you with scrap materials from time to time.

Kinda wanted him to be there for a bit so at least people know or know of him to make introductions a bit easier. I should be posting soon as well. Have family over for the week.
Thanks for the approval!

Claimed (if possible)! Left building is Garsin's house. Middle building is the forge. Right building is the storehouse.
Basic Information

Name:
Garsin Folkvar

Age:
36

Nationality:
American

Ethnicity:
Anglo American Caucasian

Sex:
Male

Height:
6'8"

Weight:
round-about 400 lbs

Eye Color:
Hazel

Hair Color:
Dirty blonde/Sandy brown

Physical Disabilities:
  • Sure as Hell not winning any awards in speed.
  • Not first pick for "Who can shimmy down this hole?" (no innuendo intended, I swear)

Physical Identifiers
  • He's huge if you haven't guessed, I modeled his build after Brian Shaw the strongman.
  • Has a number of scars on his body ranging from insignificant to severe.

Appearance:
To say Garsin is large would be an understatement. He has the build of a strongman, seeming to tower over most people and tanned skin from spending a decent of time in the sun and around fire. While covered in heavy muscle, he does have a bit of fat on him that smooths him over a bit that keeps him from looking like a starved, veiny, unhealthy Mr. Universe competitor. He normally wears some patched up jean overalls with the shoulder straps off and hanging down, leaving a belt to hold his pants up. For a shirt, he just wears a simple black tank top.

If given the time during an attack or if planning to go outside the wall, he dons heavy armor and a treated leather pack to hold supplies. The armor covers most vital points and is a mix of various metals in certain places. the upper chest and helmet are titanium while the arms, lower torso, back, and legs are steel plates. The helmet has a visor made of about an inch thick of lexan, which can stave off most lower power rounds like pistol cartridges. It woulddn't hold back a full powered rifle however. The lens is only a slot in the armor giving him enough area to see, but not give up too much protection, but yes this does reduce peripheral vision. lastly the helmet is fitted with a hose that runs to an air tank that sits above his pack that he can use if the air is not suitable for breathing. if not on, air filters through the front.

Extended Information

Residence:
Across the street from the command center, on the same plot as the smithy

Profession:
Blacksmith

Aligned Faction:
Refuge

Relatives:
  • Deceased

Personnel Data

Weapons:
  • A weighted .44 magnum revolver modified to take short box magazines that feed sideways and hold eight cartridges a side. Instead of rotating a chamber it pulls the magazine from left to right. Once a side is used up, the magazine is taken from the right side, flipped and entered again for another eight rounds (the look is similar to the Bastard SMG in the Metro series). He carries five of these magazines on his belt, and has room in his pack for another five. Has a fixture on the end of the barrel to fit oil cans.
  • A survival knife for hunting, bushcraft, and last ditch self defense.
  • A heavier and more suitable for battle, bush ax. (a favorite, but he mostly keeps it at home unless really needed.)
  • HIS FISTS! Especially if he has his gauntlets on. While they aren't armored like his forearms, the knuckles are made like sapper gloves. Fun for the whole family.

Equipment
  • His pack contains a few medical items (some alcohol, gauze, wraps, pain killers, tourniquet, needle, fishing line).
  • Water canteen. Old military style that had an insulated jacket and sat in a metal cup that can be used for food and drink. (Tied to and hangs below pack)
  • Water purification tablets. (in a small pocket on the canteen's insulated jacket)
  • Flint and some dry woodchips, some vasaline (petroleum jelly), and cotton balls in a small separate plastic bags.
  • Dried meat and sometimes cheese. (Sealed in a bag in his pack)

Miscellaneous
  • A flask for whiskey or other fun stuff.

Trade Skills:
  • Smithing
Can make equipment, tools, etc. from metals.
  • Strongman
He can move stuff, he can break stuff. This can apply to people, and things as well.

Talents & Hobbies:
  • Woodcrafts
Likes to take time to carve wood into simple toys for kids in the refuge. Also comes in handy when he needs to use wood in his creations for handles, stocks, and such.
  • Good Listener
He chooses his words carefully. Makes sure to get as much detail as possible before coming to a decision or giving advice.
  • Hearty Fellow
He is a big friendly guy all in all. Tries to help whenever he can, and tries to soften the mood and stay strong even if it means putting on a face to keep everyone's moral up.

Limitations:
  • Freakin' Giant
He is big and wears heavy armor making him slower than others, but by God, don't you get hit by him. Also means that tight spaces are a no go.
  • Good Hearted
While this may be a good thing, it can also backfire. Ever hear about 'Doc' mentality and never leaving a friend behind? If he thinks he can save someone, he will try. Its earned him enough injuries, a few insults for his stupidity, but high regard from the people in town.

will be posting sometime within today or tomorrow. just had some out of town family arrive or I would have had it up last night
"Yes sir," Aiden said with a hint of pride in his work. He then pointed over to the rope trigger that was laying to the side of the supposed holes in their defenses. "One good solid tug on that and the trap will flip out from the ground and swing into them. Brisa prepared the vines for ties and ropes while I put it together." He then looked around at their scrounged up fort and a thought occurred to him. "What will we do about their archers?" While there was plenty of protection from advancing enemies, they were greatly open to any arrows or bolts from those small crossbows. This reminded him, however, that he picked up one of the crossbows from the frogmen. He went over and grabbed it, it wasn't a big or strong as the one he took from the bandits, but it was easier to handle and faster to reload due to its lower draw weight. It should be plenty to take down a frog.

"I got this from one of the frogmen," he said showing Jaim, "but it only had seven bolts left. I could make a bow, but i only have a few arrowheads and it may be some time before its finished. I'm not sure how many there will be, but i could take some of them out with this small crossbow given I practice with it for a bit. Plus, with any luck, they miss us and I have another bolt I could use in an emergency."
almost had that problem myself, got a bluetooth keyboard that way i can type on my phone if i needed to. Not saying you should go out and buy one or anything especially since you are already buying a new computer, but if you had one lying around you could use it. if not, it is no problem.
@Astarael42 No problem, I'll try to get one out by tonight or tomorrow night
@Tangletail Krieg is that you? lol
