Chapter 2 is fucking great. Story Smiral called it: "I’m sure you’d love to read all about it.”

I never knew the fourth wall could become so porous without actually being broken.
Town Square - Zin

Panic gripped her heart. Everything had been fine, even though one of the militia had to knock out his crazed friend, everything was still fine then. That changed rather quickly. The traitor and the spiders and the spirits all contributed to Zin's racing heart. Another person might have been exhilarated by the thought of battle, but she could only think of the death it would bring, for the militia, for the other Queen's Blades, but most importantly for herself. She was just on the brink of fleeing when Laenaia, the other cloaked woman who Zin thought must be a vampire like herself, asked her to talk to the militia and try to snap them out of their fear.

She grasped the thought desperately, like a drowning man reaching for anything nearby to keep his head above water. Thinking about their terror made Zin's own fear fade a bit, taking a spot of secondary priority. Those men looked near scared to death by the apparitions, and she could sympathize with them. She hurried over to the militia, making sure to keep her cloak closed to protect herself from the sun, and as she passed Wayne she recalled hearing him ask what the plan was. "D-deal with Jeremy, if you can." Zin heard the fear in her own voice and tried as hard as she could to suppress it before addressing the other men of the militia.

"There's no need to fear the spirits. They're just illusions!" Zin held up her left hand and focused on conjuring an illusory flame, one of the simple spells she had recently mastered, and managed to fight through her own distracting fear to make it work. She then passed her right hand through the flame, showing the men that it was harmless. "See? I know illusions. Don't fear them." In truth she was not completely sure the spirits were illusions, but it was the best approach she could think of to perhaps snap the militia out of their trance of terror. "You should be afraid of that bomb in the fountain, the bomb that will kill countless people if we don't stop it. We need your help now, we need to deal with Jeremy and stop the bomb before it's too late, and we can only do that if you help us. Now come on, let's do our jobs and protect everyone." She pointed to the fountain for emphasis, and could only wait and hope she'd gotten through to them.
South-West Block - Nathaniel

Nathaniel had only a scant moment to revel in victory. That voice, the sweet, angelic voice, spoke to him again, urging him to hurry. She said his destiny was slipping away, and that would not be tolerated. He put his rifle away and rushed around the side of the APC, heading for the door and ignoring his allies and the new threats entirely. He started yelling as he hurried, hoping the man inside could hear. "Annie! Get your ass out here, we have to go now!"

When Nathaniel reached the door he would rip the damned thing open and drag the biologist out if need be. As luck would have it, door-ripping duties were already being handled. Nathaniel kept on heading for it nonetheless. His new goal was the get the man out of the vehicle and then get him out of the fog at all costs, and he'd knock the son of a bitch out cold and carry him if necessary, or tag him with a parasite and force him to get running if things were dire. With his destiny at stake, any risk at all was worth it in his mind.

I remember my first pee-in-a-cup.

The implications of this when you consider it an homage to Drago's catch phrase...

I don't know why but when I'm reading this and thinking about this I get really into character. I don't think I would ever turn on the Legion, even if rage induced.

I am getting into my character as well, and I would say that like it or not, the Legion will accompany you on your journey. You are one of us.

You guys have a good grasp on your characters. Y'know how I said chapter 4 was brought to you by the power of friendship? That's what Jster is all about, underneath the angel-slaying murder machine exterior.

So did Lillian.

That would be story Jster's exact response if a Peacemaker claimed to have righteousness or god or whatnot on their side.

(You don't have to tell me your personal gender. If Jorick wants to be a female Sim, by all means....)

I will make the example a reality. Make me a girl sim.

Also, Jorick is Lelouch?

I had that same thought at first.

Do you have all of this planned out, Jorick?

Not everything, just the major stuff. A lot of little things come up organically as I realize they need to be included, particularly a lot of Holmes's dialogue. Her little Sky Stone chat was something that just happened because of her character being who she is, not because I planned it to happen.

I shall. Or, I mean, Zed shall, but close enough.

And that is why you're part of Hank's group.

STOP TALKING ABOUT CLAWS

wot
Chapter 4 is up. This chapter is brought to you by the power of friendship.

I almost cut this chapter into two separate parts, but then the site was down so I couldn't have posted the shorter version when it was done and I kept on writing. This is basically two chapters worth of events, and it shows. I fear the big deal of the first half might have gotten greatly overshadowed by the second half.
This is pretty fucking great. All the fourth wall leaning is fun, and my character is kinda badass. :D
