Holy crap, I just had the best run of mining luck I've ever experienced. I was mining a straight line, 3 blocks high and 100 long, and in the course of doing that single line I got 32 diamonds. I feel rich.

Guys, it's essentially just a joke taken too far. If Brovo seriously wanted to harass people into posting he would have either waited until he had stable internet to do it himself, or he would've gotten someone he trusts (Tempest probably) to do it. I'll lay it out clearly for you guys so you can understand what went down.

It started when Brovo jokingly (underscored because it's important) told Elendra to harass people to post while he lacked stable home internet access. Then Elendra was silly and decided to follow through on it and got Sole to send out those messages with, again, humorous intent. Maybe the brand of humor Sole used was not exactly to your taste, which is perfectly understandable, but to anyone familiar and comfortable with that sort of aggressive humor it's rather obvious that it was not a serious thing at all.

Vent your spleen if it'll make you feel better, but don't take this nonsense to heart. There was no personal attack made on you, just some rude humor thrown at everyone, even people who had already posted. I'd suggest ignoring any further activity in those PMs, because they're obviously not constructive or helpful in any way. I'd also suggest that you guys just chill and wait for Brovo to address the shenanigans rather than continuing to discuss it and/or argue with Zed about it, but it seems a bit late for that piece of advice, so whatever.

One man factions can claim on to 10 pieces of land, which is about 256 blocks per piece. 1 piece = one 16x16 land = 256 blocks10 x 256 = 2560 blocks that can be claim, and that's just surface area. I think that the claim goes underground too, so any blocks within the x coordinate area of 256 is yours, which would potentially allow you to claim far more than 2560 blocks of land if this mod works like that. If not, then idk why we're using it because there are other land claim mods that can work based off of just moderator control and can be assigned to factions via command.

Yes, I know how it works, I'm just kind of annoyed by it because the place I already walled off is quite a bit larger than ten 16x16 claims will allow me to have with my one man faction.

The plot buy system also introduces the idea of a functioning economy for the server. So the diamonds, aside from their functional value, would gain currency value too. Which would be awesome to introduce into the RPG server.

I don't think the money system of the plugin is actually in effect currently.

You should've seen the last time this bandwagon happened on oldguild. Other people got up to 2-3 pages and then their thing died, my thread had like 12 fucking pages and was still alive a few weeks after the bandwagon was pretty much dead. It was really awkward and weird, lots of people from outside Spam coming in and asking me things.

So, for the faction stuff, the /f pow command doesn't do anything and just hanging out and waiting in game doesn't seem to regenerate any power. I think it must be set to be a fixed amount based on the number of people in the faction. I've claimed 10 pieces of land, and it seems like that's all I'll be getting so long as I'm running it as a one man faction.

Eh, not exactly. My spam persona is pretty damned close to my actual personality, I just exaggerate the ego for shits and giggles. But I'm not a very open person to begin with, so I don't know if the spam persona thing has any extra effect on that. I don't share shit about my life just out of nowhere, usually only when people actually ask. Tons of people on Skype, where I hang out and chat more than Spam, were shocked to find out I have two sisters when I mentioned them a few weeks ago, for instance.

Hmmm... Probably my lack of empathy. I'm not utterly devoid of it, I'm just not very empathetic at all. This is a pretty big weakness when it comes to social stuff in general, because it makes it hard to relate to other people.

It was definitely entertaining and a very well paced story. Now if we can get Brovo to narrate it for the audio version that'd be great. Follow up question, do you ever see yourself making another Spam project, whether it be a story or an RP, whatever?

I feel like the ultimate audio version would include everyone doing the voices for their own character with Brovo providing narration for everything other than dialogue. We need to make it happen.

It's entirely possible I'll make some other kind of project. I have an idea for another spamfic actually, but if I do that it won't be for a long while. Probably not an RP though, I don't really care for running RPs after my few experiences with them; co-GM is the most I'll do on that front, not the full GM deal. I might make some kind of spam game though, like rabbit doubt or something. I've done a couple RD games in the past with pretty successful results, so maybe one of those again in the not too distant future.

Whatever it is, yeah, eventually I probably will do some other thing for the fun and amusement of Spam.
