To carify, Deimos' Ballistics count for her Assault Cannon and her Cylone Missile Launcher. But, if she tried to hit an enemy with the Assault Cannon, it would go off Melee rather than Ballistic.

To a certain extent. Ballisitcs is basically anything you don't bash over the head of your enemy. Includes guns, rockets and flamethrowers.
