Hello there!

Seeing as how I am down to two role plays at the moment, I would like to take on three more partners. No more and, hopefully, no less. I will be available today for planning the RP and then we can start next week. Unfortunately I will be off the radar this weekend as I will be attending Dragoncon. Well, perhaps not so unfortunate for me, of course.

I don't want to lay down a huge list of rules, but here are some standards I am looking for in a partner:
1. Please be literate and have a good grasp of the English language. A mistake here and there isn't going to break the bank, but please don't make a habit of mistakes.
2. Please give me enough to work with. I do not tolerate one liners and seldom tolerate single paragraphs unless there is a lot of interaction going on between our two characters that calls for a shorter post. Most of the time, though, I'd like to see some length to the post. Also, don't just reiterate what I wrote. Add to the scene and move it forward, please.
3. I am OK with mature writing on almost every subject. There are very few taboos I have. Therefore I leave the fade-to-black level up to you.
4. Please contribute to the story. I do not want to be the only one dragging it along or I will drop it.
5. I reserve the right to say no or stop an RP if I don't feel we're compatible partners.
6. Please do not control my character. I won't control yours, so don't do so with mine or I will drop it.

I think those are fairly reasonable rules. If you cannot abide by them, then we are simply not meant to RP.

Alright, with that out of the way, I do have some plot ideas in mind, although I don't really feel like making the effort to write them all out and then have a ton of people asking about the same plot and ignoring the other ones. Therefore I will simply say that I have plots in mind for the following genres: Supernatural (I have a plot for a wtich, a shapeshifter, and a vampire), Science Fiction, and Fantasy. I would love to do a plot based on the tabletop game Anima, but I have only just gotten the book and I have yet to fully read through it to understand the world enough, so for the time being, I'll put that on hold until I've played through a campaign with my tabletop group and tried it out.

If you're still with me and still interested, please PM me with what genre you'd like to write. Thanks!
Reeled in another one, but still open for more. I am on very frequently and, well, obviously looking to do some more writing. I work at a daycare, so summertime for me is slow time. Which, in turn, equals lots of time to be invested in writing.

Edit:

Also, as a side note, I have a few fantasy role plays going now, so I'm actually looking towards science fiction. I haven't tried my hand at science fiction in a while, but it would be fun to give it another shot. Fair warning, though, its a genre I'll probably be a little rusty with at first.
That's right, the never ending search for more role plays. Despite the fact that I've gotten a few off the ground now, I wish for more. I long to explore more worlds of our combined imagination and characters that spring forth from the depths of other writer's minds. So here I am again, trying to gather some more partners for yet another RP.

I won't go into a whole long list of expectations and rules such as I did last time I posted an interest check, but I will simply tell you what I am looking for. My writing tends to be high casual leaning more on the advanced end of the spectrum. In other worlds, I am looking for posts that contain more than just action. I want to know what your character is thinking, why they just did what they did, their back story that made them who they are, the scenery around them, everything that gives the scene life. It is my goal as a writer to do so and I would appreciate the same effort in paying attention to detail in return. Decent use of proper grammar is also a must, but a mistake here and there is not something I am going to fret about, as I am not perfect either.

Another quick note to make as well: add to the story. Don't just let me drag along the plot because once the damn thing's gotten bloodied, mangled, and old because I have nothing to work off of, I lose interest. This should be a story we create together and I am more than happy to converse out of character about details or ideas that one or both of us may have and open it up for discussion.

All that said, I will now let you know what kind of stories I am interested in. As far as genres go, I'm fairly open to anything involving fantasy, from the harsher, more human-based worlds such as in George R. R. Martin's A Song of Fire and Ice series to more fantastical locations full of magic and otherworldly beasts. I'll work with either end of the spectrum or even somewhere in between. Regarding other genres, I am open to supernatural type role plays involving vampires, werewolves, etc. BUT! There will be no Twilight or any other teen drama. I am also open to post apocalyptic ideas, but perhaps we might stay away from zombies? I think zombies are a little overdone at this point. I will not do any type of role play that's just set in mundane, modern times with no unrealistic elements about it. Sorry, I write to get away from reality. I need something to the story that doesn't actually exist in order for it to interest me.

If I still have your attention and your interest, please PM me with responses to interest in role playing.

Edit:

I suppose I should also inform you of what I will and won't do in a role play, as that can be the make it or break it for some. I am open to most mature themes. Violence and other adult themes are perfectly acceptable. I would also like to do the RP over PM, so anything goes in that case. I am a female and personally prefer to write female characters, but you might just catch me in the occasional mood where I've got a male character in mind I'm craving to write (An incident that a friend of mine ran into the other day - and I've got to say, he's shaping up rather nicely. My character, that is.). Romance is not a guarantee in my role plays, but it is something that has the potential to come into play IF I see it naturally happening between our characters. There will be no forcing it to happen, however. And even if there is romance, that will not be the only focus of the role play and there WILL be complications, fights, the whole spectrum of relationship issues because no relationship is perfect. I've been married to my husband for almost two years and we know this lesson well that not everything is going to be perfect.

I hope that clears up any questions you may have had while reading my interest check about what I am willing to do and what I am not willing to do.
Hello!

I am on the search to start some new RPs, so I thought I'd cast out my reel and see what I can catch. I used to have an account on here a few years ago, but I decided to start anew with a new screen name and start over.

I'm the kind of Role Player that likes to have an idea for a story, but not have anything really "planned out". Its an adventure, the story should flow naturally depending on our characters actions. That said, the relationships of our characters will also develop naturally, so no preplanned romances, if any at all. I have friends who only role play for romance and I can't tell you how annoying that can be. I want to focus on the story, no who's with who. This isn't Twilight.

I write both female and male characters, but I will be choosing which gender I will be writing, just so you know. I am female myself, if that makes an difference to you.

A little bit about me: I've been role playing for 8 years, I enjoy independent writing in my free time, I run tabletop D&D games, and often my husband and I love to just bounce writing ideas off of each other. In other words, writing is my passion.

I'm looking for someone who can post fairly regularly. At least once a day is good, multiple times a day (2+) is even better. I'm going to warn you right up front - I'm impatient. Its one of my flaws. I don't like waiting. If you're going to be gone for an extended period of time, that's completely understandable, I just ask that you give me prior notice. I will give you the same respect of notification. I promise I will try not to tap my foot and bug you for a post, I just want you to know I'm impatient, that's all.

And...one last thing. I would like someone who can write in depth and detail. I'm not looking for someone who's posts are short and dull. I want life breathed into our story, full of details, thoughts, description of surroundings, actions, back story, you get it, the works. Decent grammar is also a plus, but the occasional mistake is understandable. I won't be a grammar Nazi unless you are just so obviously illiterate. I know I make mistakes too.

Alright, I think I've got all my bases covered. So here's what I'm interested in: I'm most a fantasy writer. I like my exotic worlds of magic and knights, elves and fairies, dragons and demons. I'm not saying I'm not open to other things, that's just my big thing. I'd be willing to try science fiction, but I don't know how well I'd do at it. If you have any other ideas you've wanted to try, you can lay them on me and I'll see if its interests me.

In other words, I'm an open book. I will tell you I won't do, though. I won't do strictly romance or sex (I mean like strictly sex. Not saying it won't come up, but that won't be the focus). I don't do anime (I like anime, I just don't do anime role plays) and I don't do slash (Do they still call it that?).

Can I interest anyone in a role play? PM me if so.
