A Prized bride (The return)

Kalani Solle

Bride of Cuwarr Naxremis and Sister-bride to Sorici Amberra

Kalani had followed Cuwarr's lead towards the dining table. She was curious as to what kind of food would be served. Hopefully the Drakken menu wasn't as barbaric as their people. She took her seat and waited for dinner to be brought out. She did not wait long before a small Gemminite had stood up in front of everyone. Kalani already had a bad feeling about this. She did not know what was the gem was thinking or what she planned on doing, but it could not have been a good idea. The young gem announced that she was going to perform for them and began to play a flute. Kalani had easily identified the song, as it was the fanfare for the royal Gemminite family. "What an awful song choice for this crowd," Kalani could not help but think.

While the gem had played beautifully, most of her audience did not seem to enjoy her song. One Drakken in particular, expressed his distaste by snapping the neck of another innocent gem. Shocked and horrified by the sight, Kalani let a small gasp escape. She always knew that the Drakkens were a lot stronger than them, but it was just too easy for them to kill them.

Her own husband did not seem to approve of the other Drakken's actions though. Soon they had left the table and were going back to his room. While Kalani did not think that Cuwarr would kill her or her sister bride, the possibility of it was surfacing.

While Cuwarr went to the bathroom to freshen himself up, Kalani walked towards the wardrobe where her belongings should be in. She found her stuff and pulled out a simple night gown. It was much more comfortable than the dress she was wearing earlier. She looked at her reflection in the mirror and ran her fingers through her hair. It was a habit she had when she did not know what to do.

Soon, Cuwarr had finished and entered the room in nothing but a towel. Her eyes looked into his for the first time. She did not know how to feel about it though. He seemed stunned by their beauty and did not say a word for a few moments. In other circumstances, she might have teased or raised an eyebrow. This was not one of those circumstances though. When he finally broke the silence, Kalani did her best to smile politely. "You're too kind, my lord," she said.

His next comment however, concerned her a bit. Her strength? Her strength for what? Peculiar tastes? Those things did not seem good. She did not know what she was expecting from a Drakken but she did not think they would... consummate their 'marriage' so soon. She did not say anything as she did not know what to say to that.

Personality
Nathan likes girls a lot and often tries to flirt with them but ultimately gets rejected. He never gets discouraged though and is always ready to move onto the next girl.

He is easy going though a little bit lazy and childish. He likes to look for a good time so naturally working at the amusement park was a natural choice for him as a part-timer. It also helps that he gets along well with children and elderly people find him charming. He can be serious when the time calls for it but it usually doesn't.

He has a high self esteem and his confidence may get him into trouble at times but he usually gets out of trouble as easily as he gets into it.

Despite how he looks and acts, he is actually an intelligent guy. He is not exactly a genius, but he is quick to learn new things and taking what he learns and applying it to other situations. He is studying to go into sports medicine, but has been considering going to medical school. Ultimately he decided that it was too much work to be a doctor, even if the nurses are hot.

Short Bio
Nathan grew up in a normal family in the town of Millington. His father worked as a construction worker and his mother was an elementary school teacher. Growing up, he got to know James Reese and the other Reese family by extension. James was a really nice guy and Nathan was fond of him, if not slightly worried about how much of a pushover that guy could be. They became best friends, though their friendship wasn't like most friendships. If James ever felt like talking to Nathan, Nathan would listen. The Reese boy was often too busy to talk to Nathan but when they could hang out, they had a good time. Nathan is often trying to get James to take it easy and making sure he doesn't overwork himself.

Nathan did well in school and managed to get accepted to Millington University with a mini-scholarship that helped him a lot in the short run but not the long run. He moved out of his parent's place once he got a job at the amusement park but he visited them often because he needed good homemade food every now and then. He likes the freedom of living on his own so he doesn't regret moving out, even if it means he has to eat instant noodles five times a week.

Underlake: An Othertale

After he had recovered from his sneezing fit, Dorkle looked at the poster that System had quickly sketched up. It was written a bit more colloquially than he would preferred but then again, it was written so that other monsters can understand what was going on. "Looks perfect, System," he said with a smile. "Do you think you could draw it more cleanly on a white sheet of paper so we can photocopy it?"

He pulled out a piece of white paper from the drawer and handed it to System. "Thank you again for helping me out with this," he said.
