Salutations and Felicitations!

As my title alludes to I'm a student. I'm currently studying for my BA in History and Ancient History. I love diving into lore be it that of the past, or whether it be the brilliant product of the human imagination.

But just as fun I find is picking lore apart and making something new with it, and that's what draws me to good role-plays. Those little references shaped into new forms are really what helps to keep me hooked, just as much as good writing.

@RumikoOhara Jesus, where was your school?
We had some blockers but they were so basic that we could usually find a work around given enough time. Besides we had the game page, which was a bunch of flash games saved as a word document that we could play from a USB.
Actus looked around as he got off the ship. He was glad his mask was tinted it was much to bright for his liking the sun beaming down all over the white grey stone of the courtyard. He wondered around somewhat aimlessly at first, there'd been no instructions regarding what to do on arrival, so he decided to observe the new students around him, to try and identify some good teammates.

He saw a few people here and there, some with spears, other clutching rifles. His hands wondered over Corvus and Corax the two gauntlets feeling safe and familiar even in such a new place. He was surprised to see so many Faunus around, not that he had anything against them he just wasn't used to being around them. He marvelled at the various shapes and sizes of the various Faunus, noting the tail on one, the scales on another. He was very glad his mask didn't allow people to see his face, if they could've he was quite certain that he'd look like an idiot.

As he wondered he spied a growing group of people, and decided to follow the throng and see what they were going to stare at. Maybe they know where we'll get our orders? He thought to himself.
'Famous the world over from what I here.' The craft shook a little as it docked, 'Looks like we're here, catch you around, I'm Actus'.
'Mistral huh? heard it's quite a nice place if you can get past the heat. Know anything about this place? I read a lot about Beacon but couldn't find much on the teams that sort of thing.' He replied, noting the boy's somewhat standoffish nature, a good start he thought to himself.
The boy turned as Actus got nearer. He offered his hand to the boy nodding his head towards the window and Beacon. 'Seen anything like it before?' he inquired, 'I shan't lie I'm starting to miss the snow'.
Actus looked up as he heard the news come on. Typcial he thought to himself hardly surprising that when a place lacks disciples you get crime. Then he remembered what his mother told him they're just disciplined in another way, Actus you need to remember Vale isn't Atlas.

He smiled to himself as he thought of home, putting his helmet mask back on. He cut quite a figure as he got up. Not that he was physically imposing mind, as far as his height and physical stature were concerned he was thoroughly average (at least in the present company). What made him stand out was his clothes and bearing. His martial posture, clean simple grey clothes, smooth chrome helm screamed Atlas louder than any Atlesian ship could've done.

As Beacon came into view he wondered over to a window and looked at the school he'd be attending. The majestic towers Beacon was famous soared around him and smiled behind his mask. As he looked around he spied a Faunus boy who'd been watching the news. He carried a Katana and had black cat ears. Actus hadn't met many Faunus in Atlas, and so he deiced that he'd go and introduce himself, who knows he thought he might make a good team mate, he's quiet enough.
Et voila, feel free to post your characters in the OOC when they're ready, once they're approved you can go ahead and put them into the character tab.

A slight note before we start. Whilst I'm happy to run this quite rules light (you all seem to have a long history with the site), try to keep the setting in mind. Don't have the Prince constantly letting you off unless it makes sense, and be ready to have other players turn NPC's against you where it makes sense. (Hardly be a World of Darkness game without betrayal and treachery amongst Kindred.) That being said whilst I'm happy for you to control NPC's made by another player to an extent be reasonable. Don't go having the Nosferatu they've been working for in order to get information turn on them just because you think it's funny. On the other hand if you and another player are both sucking up to the Prince in order to get a favour and you feel you've done more then you could certainly have the Prince rebuff the other player.

Any conflicts over this sort of thing can be handled in the OOC, and I'll make a final call if things get too contentious. Besides that standard RP rules apply, don't control other characters without asking, don't be too Overpowered, etc.

NB: For those who didn't find this through the interest check this RP is set in the World of Darkness/Vampire the Masquerade setting by White Wolf Publishing. Feel free to apply if you're interested, but some knowledge of the setting is required.

Actus woke with a start. He'd decided that the best thing to do was to try and get some sleep on the trip over from Atlas that way he could approach Beacon fresh and ready. The buzzing in his ears from his helmet put pay to the thought however, he went instinctively to rub the sleep from his eyes before remembering that he was still wearing his helmet mask. Unclipping the mask and resting it in his lap Actus started to think about the days ahead.

From what he'd read students were grouped into teams. Those teams had one leader, and shared dorms and attended classes together. What had annoyed him however, was that there was no record of how these teams were formed. Actus hoped the students got to choose. He couldn't bear the thought of having to work with a bunch of loud ill-disciplined sorts. Somebody quiet he thought, someone like him, that'd be ideal.
