@Crab... see if you can find out what she's interested in. Then ask her about it. No flirting need be involved to just break the ice. :)

Bio

Long time casual role player who loves tales of adventure! I enjoy tabletop games, play-by-post, and even LARP!

Wild (and sometimes weird) west and medieval fantasy games with an 'old-school' D&D feel are my favorite.

In real life, I'm a software engineer and wanna-be farmer. I have a little garden and some chickens that like to destroy my flower beds. But I like 'em anyway and they all have names. ;) Sometimes they lay me some breakfast.

Other hobbies include dog agility and archery.

The archer was obviously startled by the blinding flash of light. He took a few steps backward, dropping the bow and fumbling for his sword. The other two men blocked Khoran's path and one lunged forward with his short sword, attempting to skewer the noble through the belly.

The leader of the highwaymen was about to follow Khoran toward the downed woman, but stopped when he heard Hugh's war cry. He turned, drawing his own blade as Hugh broke free of the tree line and stepped forward to meet the large warrior. "Finish that one quick!" he called to his companions as he barely managed to avoid Hugh's blade, fearing that he'd need assistance with the skilled swordsman before him. Had he known there were still two others yet to join the fight, he may have fled, but against only Hugh and Khoran, the bandits still felt they had the upper hand.
"It's a..." Glenn wasn't usually one to catch himself before blurting out something that was best left unsaid, but it actually occurred to him that telling these two troublemakers about the map might not be wise.

After the rock hit Roan, Glenn strode quickly after his smaller companion back toward the pair. It took a lot to upset him, but the violence had done it, apparently and he bypassed Roan, attempting to grab Peyton by the front of his shirt.

"Peyton, I'll... I'll ... tell your father," he said, rather lamely. Glenn had never really been a fight. All his life, people had avoided making trouble with him due to his intimidating size and he'd never had to actually punch anyone.

As Straw exited the tunnel, he took the lantern with him, and the underground passageway again darkened. Haelerin took pleasure in knowing this would only help to increase any fear the human male was already feeling. His thin lips curled themselves into a smile as he fell into step behind Zed. He leaned forward enough for the wind of his breath to tickle Zed's ear and said in a tone barely above a whisper, "Of course, rothe, I'd be more than pleased to make the young one beg for her life if you care to test us..."

Rhyldaer followed behind, rolling his eyes slightly as Haelerin attempted to get a reaction from the bound man. Not that Rhlydaer held any compassion for the captives, they were nothing more to him than the gold they'd bring at auction, but Haelerin's constant provocation wore on even the calm Rhyldaer. Tormenting the merchandise was something Haelerin took great pleasure in, claiming that it increased the market value of the slave if some of the breaking process was already done.

Back in the cell, Althea shut her mouth, even though she hadn't been yelling at all, as the unfamiliar voice answered her. She considered for a few moments bombarding the figure with questions, but took his advise to remain silent, especially when she heard the sound of the drow approaching again.

Had a house fire last spring and finally got everything put back the way it was prior and got to move back home. I definitely learned a lot about large homeowner's insurance claims and the emotional roller coaster the whole process is. It's been a long year, but glad to put that chapter of life to bed and hopefully never repeat it!

Wasn't all bad, really. Got my hardwood floors refinished and they look beauuutiful! Whoo!

No worries about being slow. Things have been good, but hectic, for me lately. So I've definitely been slow posting in my RPs. But just last week got to move into my house! Whoo!
Bump!
Glenn turned to look. "Peyton and Dax," he told Roan, not sounding particularly pleased to see the pair. "They're cousins and get into trouble sometimes." Not that they'd ever really caused Glenn any trouble personally, but they had made Scarlett cry once and that was enough for Glenn to consider them shady.

"We stole nothing!" Glenn retorted back to them. "I paid for his stuff and mine!" The large young man dug into his pocket and pulled out his remaining silver pennies, as if that was proof. In doing so, the piece of parchment fell loose and landed on the dirt road. Calmly, Glenn picked it back up and tucked it back into his pocket.

As Haelerin dropped Althea, none too gently, the archer forced back the threatening tears, trying to focus instead on letting her eyes adjust to the dim cell. Only a small amount of daylight filtered in from a crack in the ceiling of the tunnel, but it was enough that she could make out the unmoving figure of Harper on the ground next to her. "Harper!" she whispered urgently, rolling herself onto her knees and straining against the ropes on her wrists. Unfortunately, the drow was right, they were bound well enough that she did not think she'd be able to shed the bonds without assistance. She stopped as she could just make out the outline of another figure lying against the back wall of the cell. "Zed! Are you okay?" She whispered, assuming the shape was her companion.

Haelerin followed Laele back and saw that Rhyldaer was escorting Straw back toward the entrance of the tunnel. "Are you pleased? These three should fetch a fair price, plus whatever the old dwarf brings."
I know you posted right before me in the IC, but I think others have had plenty long enough to reply. I wouldn't mind if you posted again. :)
No rush. I made you wait two weeks. So take as much time as you like. :)
