@Crab... see if you can find out what she's interested in. Then ask her about it. No flirting need be involved to just break the ice. :)

Bio

Long time casual role player who loves tales of adventure! I enjoy tabletop games, play-by-post, and even LARP!

Wild (and sometimes weird) west and medieval fantasy games with an 'old-school' D&D feel are my favorite.

In real life, I'm a software engineer and wanna-be farmer. I have a little garden and some chickens that like to destroy my flower beds. But I like 'em anyway and they all have names. ;) Sometimes they lay me some breakfast.

Other hobbies include dog agility and archery.

Yeah, don't worry about a character sheet. I think it's more fun to figure out the characters during the RP. :)
The old man had lived in a little house on the very top of a hill. Most of the town considered him eccentric or downright odd. He hardly ever ventured out of his home anymore but when he did, he would tell tales to anyone that would listen about strange places and mysterious creatures.

But two days ago in the common room of the pub, in the middle of a grand tale about a huge beast with wings and scales, the man had simply fallen out of his chair and died. As he had no apparent heirs, the townsfolk gave him a small funeral and then promptly walked up the hill to help themselves to the old man's valuables.

Glenn, who had always been considered a bit on the dumb side, came with them. He had to duck in order to fit through the small door, his large shoulders brushing against the frame. Inside was cluttered, but Glenn made his way toward a large bookshelf. He had never learned to read, but liked to look at the pictures in books. He picked up a large volume and opened the cover. A worn piece of parchment fell to the floor.

Carefully, Glenn unfolded it to reveal a map with a large X marked on it. "What's this?" He asked the first person that walked past.

Harrowing shenanigans is just what I had in mind! :)

I'll throw the intro up as a role play and we can get rolling. (No need to feel rushed though!)
I'm looking for someone interested in trying a medieval fantasy story with me. I've got an intro, but where it goes we'll have to see! My only request is that you don't leave me to come up with the whole story. Throw in your own twists, your own NPCs! Post here if you're interested.

Straw turned toward the two newcomers and one corner of his mouth turned up slightly in something that might have been a smile. "Ah, good! We're all here and I'm pleased to see you all look prepared to begin our journey right away. So, have any of you met?"

He glanced around quickly before trying to remember each of the adventurers' names. "No? So this is Khoran... Icies, right? ... Hugh... and... give me a moment... Ardel? No, that's not right. Auredhel?" He pointed to each in turn.

"Any objections to beginning our trek immediately and getting to know each better on the road?" Straw asked, already collecting the packhorse's lead rope. "We're taking the north road out of town..."
Looks good, Illogical Jim. :) I think we've got enough adventurers to get this party rolling!
Welcome all!
No worries. Glad to have ya. :)
