Metal HeadIsabella Cortez stood behind the curtain, wearing her mostly red wrestling gear. She stretched her arms while waiting to be announced. The crowd beyond the curtain was loud and proud tonight, their cheers and shouting echoing throughout the arena. The young wrestler suddenly became reminded that tonight is her big debut. For a long moment Isabella found it hard to breathe.
Cmon keep it together. Don’t freeze just like uncle Alejandro says.
Finally calming down the rookie let out a sigh. It had been a long and difficult road to get to this point. This was an opportunity of a lifetime, one she was fully intended not to waste. Eyes narrowing in determination Isabella continued to wait before hearing her theme song began to play.
“Showtime.” She whispered to herself before marching the curtain. Subsequently the announcer on the loudspeaker proclaimed.
“This contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from El Paso, Texas and making her debut...Isabella!”
As the disco lights above danced and circled Isabella displayed a grin, to the audience. She strolled confidently down the ramp while waving to the crowd. Reaching the edge of the ring she climbed up to the side. Displaying the victory sign with both hands for all to see the rookie quickly grab the top rope. Using it as leverage she jumped in the ring, landing on her feet with a thud.
Earning some cheers Isabella kept smiling before nodding to the referee persent and walking over a corner. There she rolled her shoulders, while waiting for her opponent to make her own entrance.
