"Ah, I see. So the usual then. Saving people, destroying things." Sylvia leaned back placing her elbow on the backrest of her chair and resting her left ankle onto her right knee. "Name's Sylvia." She paused for a moment in thought. "The Destroyer,"

"Jeez Paige, you trying to kill everyone?" Sylvia smirked, looking the the ugly hole that newly adorned the guild's wall. It'd probably be there for awhile until someone responsible got sick of it, and fixed it. Probably Sylvia.

"So, you a member of Fairy Tail? What's your magic like?" Sylvia asked, continuing to eat her slowly cooling meal.
Amaya Tsukino

Amaya was in her favorite class, Psychology. She wrote down every single word in her 5 subject notebook, most of which was filled with notes from her semester class, and observations of those around her. While the subject interested her, there was no way she'd be able to get a job with a psychology degree. As her professor began discussing the meaning behind varying degrees of dilation of the pupil, an over whelming sense of nausea consumed her senses. Amaya closed her eyes and put her head in her hands, massaging her temples. She focused on breathing deeply, and the steady rhythmic beat of her heart. The harmonizing rhythms slowly lulled Amaya into a subconscious part of her mind. Within the depths of blackness, a nurturing melody called out to her. Contrary to the warm it emitted, the voice sang, "Ice, Ice, Ice,". As if that word contained the answer to everything. Unfortunately, answers aren't always knowledge that brings peace. Suddenly, the conscious part of Amaya's brain threw the reality of her current situation at her within a fraction of a millisecond. Amaya's heart burst out of her chest as her spine snapped straight, and her eyelids flung open wide.

After a second, her brain was finally able to process her surrounding. All the students in the room, had their jackets or hoodies on. The professor had paused his lecture to check the thermostat. Amaya calmly looked down at the crystalline pattern of frost that radiated from her hands. She quickly placed her notebook and textbook in a way that covered the majority of the crisp, frost snowflake. For the rest of class she tried her best to look inconspicuous and focused on the lesson.

Cloud 9, New York. It was farther away than Amaya would have cared for, however, the mysteries and questions surrounding this place and the vision intrigued her. She could skip most of her classes, she just needed to study from her textbooks and previous notes. After all she just needed to take the final in order to pass the class. The only thing Amaya would miss was her psychology class.

So after the hassle of booking a plane flight for the next day, Amaya began to prepare her things from her dorm room. She informed her roommate that she'd be gone for awhile. Hopefully not long, but you can never be sure. The time it took to arrive at New York seemed to take way longer than it should have. Having no money to stay at a hotel (being a poor college student), and knowing no one who lived in the New York area, Amaya had brought her suitcases, containing her life, to this moldy, run down night club.

It was at this time that Amaya seriously reconsidered her decision. She grew nervous, if there was no one here, then what was the point of coming here? A waste of money obviously. But what if there are people down there? What kind of people are they? Not to mention, if there are then Amaya is literally walking in to a social situation that is far from pleasant. However, there was no point in sitting here looking ridiculous, contemplating questions when the answer it right in front of her. So Amaya gathered her two large black suitcases and her backpack, and headed around the building to find a staircase leading into the depths of underground. She lugged her belongings behind her, trying to be discreet since she didn't know who she was dealing with.

Name: Amaya Tsukino

Age: 19

Element: Ice

Feel for element:(Do you like it? Dislike it?) At first Amaya was a bit ticked off at her element. She felt as if it were a joke meant to poke fun at her, but after awhile she realized that she felt a strange resonance with it. She felt that her personality reflected it in a way that she hadn't thought of before. Soon it became apart of her, and she had no choice but to accept it.

Appearance: Amaya is 5'3". She's pretty much average, except her hip line is a bit larger than average. She descends from an Asian heritage, and contains some Japanese characteristics. She has long silvery hair that glimmers in the sunlight. Amaya also has icy blue eyes that seem to pierce through you. She also has a snake bite piercing to remember the struggles she's been through.

Personality: Amaya is a neutral type of person. She doesn't have and opinion, so she doesn't argue with others. She is pretty distant to those around her, and tends to keep her thoughts to herself. Deep inside she has a desire to find the rarity among the commonality. For example she desires the cold when everything around her is warm, and she desires warmth when everything around her is cold. Occasionally, she wishes that she had a different personality, but she can never bring herself to change who she is. She is hard working and will do what needs to be done, however in her free time she prefers to not do any hard labor.

History: Amaya's parents where very poor when Amaya was born, so they worked long hours. Amaya never felt the warmth of loving parents because they were desperately trying to put food on the table. Amaya always understood why she didn't see her parents much and accepted it without complaint. But because of the housework she had to do in place of her parents, she never attended school.

When Amaya was 7 years old, Child Protective Services found out about her living condition and pulled her away from her parents under the pretense that it was "neglect". She was put into a foster home, where she made no friends. Amaya was reserved, but not exactly shy. Because of her unsocial nature, potential foster parents turned her away.

Once she entered school, she was able to quickly catch up to her peers, however, she wasn't exactly popular. Most of the students quietly talked about her behind closed doors, but there was a group of students that didn't. Amaya considered this group of students the "Emo/Goth" type of people. Their hair, clothes, and multitude of piercings were always black, and numerous band merchandise was plastered to their bodies. They decided to invite Amaya into their friend group, but when she politely refused, they became furious. Soon, they went out of their way to pick on her and tease her, and no one else did anything to help her because they didn't know her. It was unusual for this particular group of people to bully someone, but nonetheless it happened. Many times, the older and stronger boys in the goth group held her down as the girls caked black makeup onto her face.

One day, in high school, the goth group decided to give her a piercing. Of course no one wanted to pay for it, so they dragged Amaya to one of their houses to do a "homemade" piercing. They gave her a snake bite piercing. They made it as painful as possible for Amaya without permanently damaging her face. After that they forced her to keep it, making sure she never took it out, and after the summer, re-did the entire process because Amaya let the piercings close. Finally they decided that they were going to rip the piercing out. Amaya started to panic, and then she closed her eyes and willed them to stop with her mind. After hearing a collective gasp and a single scream pierce the air. Amaya opened her eyes to see that the hand of the girl who was about to pull her piercing out had a blueish tint to it. There was also frost creeping up her arm. Using the distraction, Amaya ran away and after the goth group reported her to the principal, she had to transfer schools.

Now, she goes to Duke University, and is still undecided of what she wants to major in. She's trying her best to not draw attention to herself, and is still waiting to befriend someone.
While taking a brief break after her journey, Sylvia was enjoying a nice warm meal. The food up in the mountains isn't as good as you would think it'd be. She sat back, closed her eyes, and took in her surroundings. The incessant chatter, the shuffling feet, the door flinging open, the screech of her friend announcing her presence to all who had ears, whether they liked it or not, ah yes, the usual. As Paige noisily took a seat next to her, Sylvia prepared herself.

"Welcome back! How was your job? Have you accomplished world domination yet?" Paige asked sarcastically.

"I wasn't on a job I was training," Sylvia sighed. "And as for world domination, I've obviously achieved such an easy feat as that." She draped an arm over Paige's shoulders, and looked off into the distance dramatically, her hand splayed in front of them making a sweeping gesture. "Everything the light touches is mine, and when I die... Everyone's going down with me."

With that abrupt ending, Sylvia removed her arm from Paige's shoulder and continued to eat her food. "So what have you been up to lately?"

First Name: Sylvia
Last Name: Layson
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Appearance: She has a strip of red running through her hair, and she has gray eyes

Height: 5'3"
Weight: 120lb
Personality: Sylvia’s a very sarcastic person. She’s not afraid to state her opinion due to the fact that she keeps logic behind each opinion. If there’s no sound logic for either side of an argument she stays neutral. Overall, she tends to look at the big picture and doesn't put effort into anything unless there’s a meaningful reason behind it. Though she doesn't like people, they have a tendency to enjoy her presence for some strange reason. Perhaps it's because of her entertaining personality.
Bio: Growing up, Sylvia's parents always pushed her to be perfect in the academic sense. They hated the fact that she could use magic, and never let her use it. Eventually, Sylvia got so sick of her parents that she ran away at the age of 15. After a year and a half of finding odd jobs to do and trying to figure out how her powers worked, she found Fairy Tail.
Parents: Rebecca and Hayle Layson
Location of Guild Mark: Outside of her right ankle
Color: Medium Gray
Likes:Fighting, Writing, Singing, Music, drawing (though she’s not very good), Sleep, Freedom, and Animals.
Dislikes: Being told she’s not good enough, Those with an low IQ, and People in general.
Magic: Wave Manipulation
Outfit: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=117090081
Theme Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkIWmsP3c_s&list=PLVw7QlYJFb4c6lxTOrZorHDxc51Yd1lQ6
Other: Sylvia has a theory that everything in the world would be solved if everyone where to die. There's a very long explanation to this that she's based off of her own logic. While she admits that she's psychotic by the perceived definition of psychotic, she likes to think that everyone else simply doesn't understand her logic.

Also she frequently uses a double hook sword as a weapon. It's like this:

Except it's more suited to battle. It's more sword-like than the picture.

Plus Sylvia tends to be nerdy at times. Mostly for the sake of being sarcastic.
Sylvia was returning to the guild after a long training session. She had spent the past 3 weeks focusing on the manipulation of brain waves. They were the trickiest in terms of controlling. As she walked into Magnolia, she couldn't help but wonder what those back at the guild had been up to. No doubt destroying things. The thought made her sigh. Knowing your limits is very important to training and fighting. Sylvia honestly didn't know how Fairy Tail kept such a title as "The Strongest Guild" when they couldn't even handle themselves. Nonetheless, Sylvia still had to work to earn Jewels...

Wait a second...

A shudder ran up Sylvia's spin when she realized she didn't have enough money to pay for both rent AND food. She silently facepalmed as she approached the guild's front door. Oh well, better start racking up the money now. Hopefully, there'd be a good job opportunity that would both pay a lot and be quick. Also Sylvia would have to check on what her friend Paige was up to, she usually had a story or two to tell when Sylvia got back from a solo mission or training.

Also Sylvia's pretty much a nerd.
