Bio

Posting and replies will be limited due to my upcoming transplant on the 22nd of June. I apologize to everyone waiting on me in advance.

Suppose I can say a few things about myself.

My name's Josh, I happen to enjoy roleplaying(obviously), a bit of gaming now and then, and watching anime from time to time. I'm typically hanging around here somewhere, or sitting in Chat. If you want to speak to me there, feel free. Wouldn't be opposed to VM's either. You can also add me to Skype if you so wish, I'll put that up at the end. I typically do 1x1 roleplays, though there are group ones I do, provided the plot is interesting enough. Anyways, suppose that's all for now.

OOC is here.

After closing the book, you realize just how much pain and anguish Tyme went through. Not only did he lose Misa, he lost every ounce of strength to fight. "Now do you understand why he did what he did? Why he had to create The Three Hundred Crater? He had to do it to save the rest of Avenase, but the price he payed was steep. Not only did he lose Misa, five hundred thousand Avenasians were also killed because of EXA Flare. Tyme was ridden with so much guilt, that he hid himself away from the world, in a place where no one would find him." the old man said, looking you in the eye. He tapped the book you had just read, "Despite this, his journey was far from over. There is a second book, one that was written from another person's point of view, not Tyme's." he said, turning to the locked case again. He opened it and withdrew the final book from it, setting it before you, "This chronicles the rest of Tyme's journey, the writer became aware that this last part of the journey, was to answer for his sins." he tells you. The book's title read, The Rebellion of Avenase: The Secret.

You open the book to the first page, "My name is Arysta Wargrave, and these are the writings of what I have witnessed since the day I met a certain young man from Avenase. This man's name was Tyme Ishinara. Even now, seeing his name brings back the pain in my chest, the pain of not just losing him, but the pain of what he did to ensure the safety of future generations. If you're reading this, then his plans have gone accordingly, and the future was saved. I'm sure your own journey has been troublesome, but after you've completed reading this book, you will know where to find 'the tear' and 'the fury' of the former Dragon Guardian. Now, let me begin on the day I met him, the day my husband walked into my life.
I apologize for making you guys wait. >_<
Before Tyme could object to the dismissal of his ring, the guards had appeared and blocked their only way out, or so he had thought. Upon hearing the woman's orders, he grabbed the large sword and lifted it onto his shoulder, as he had with his gunblade. He immediately noticed the weapon was a little lighter than what he was used to, but then again, the sword didn't have a large barrel and revolver attached to it. He quickly took for the back as instructed, following behind Malachi as they passed through the narrow exit into the hallway. As he rejoined the lead row, guards burst through the doors, Tyme noticing that they had stepped into an ambush. Of course, it's never simple, is it? he thought, staring at the guard ahead of him. Lowering the sword from his shoulder, he glanced back at Red, he had to protect him at all costs. The others held no importance right now. Tyme took a deep breath, concentrating on two of the guards in front of him, forward and the right. Even though it was an even match, eight on eight, their numbers were reduced by gunners and even more so by non-combatants. The swordsmen would have to be quick, and that's exactly what Tyme intended to do, be quick and precise. He glanced at the other swordsmen and nodded slightly before rushing forward, using the flat of the blade to deflect several shots, then taking one step more and spinning as the sword shifted positions. When he came out of the spin, the sword cleaved through the unprepared guard, some of his blood splattering on Tyme's clothing. Tyme didn't hesitate in his next attack, crouching as he turned and let the sword fly, the momentum and force piercing the second guard and pinning him to the wall with the blade. Tyme stood and ran for the sword in hopes of rejoining the fray before he was targeted, though after a few feet, he felt a sharp pain in his right shoulder and left leg. After falling to his good leg, he realized he had been shot twice. He spotted the gunner, they had managed to get away from the central fighting, "Malachi! Shoot the bastard!" he shouted, knowing he wouldn't be able to move away in time before the shot would be fired.
And our mysterious creature is revealed.

Dun dun duuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!
The villagers of Seles started to gather the injured and move them indoors, the sun was setting, and everyone in the village knew what that meant. The creature would strike again. The guards within the city rushed around fanatically, assisting the injured as well, along with making reports to Veragwen. Once the sun had completely set, there were no villagers outside, only what was left of the Seles guard. Tonight seemed to be quiet, too quiet. None of the forest spoke like it usually did, another clear sign the beast was near, but where would it strike from? The south? Maybe the east? It was all a guess by this point, for the creature had no particular pattern when it attacked. The guards were on edge for what seemed to be years, but were in all actuality, hours. Finally a noise could be heard that broke the stillness of the night, was it the creature, or was it something else? The bushes at the northern entrance rustled, then emerged two scouts that had been sent out days ago, both barely able to stand. They collapsed as they reached the border entrance, several guards coming to their aid, but arriving too late for one of them. The other only had minutes to live, so they rushed him to the captain, where he spoke before Veragwen would be able to ask. "It's coming...the beast...it's...it's...a giant...scorpion...hide too thick...like steel plates..." he said a little above a whisper. He passed moments after that, and for a few more, there was silence again. Until fear started to spread, and it spread quickly, eventually the news of a giant indestructible scorpion was known. Then panic set in, "A giant scorpion?! How are we supposed to beat it when we can't even pierce it's hide?! Seles is doomed! I say we make a run for it, it's not worth it to stay here and die like dogs!" one guard shouted. There were resounding agreements from most of the other guards, "I don't care if it IS our duty! I'm getting out of here before I'm scorpion chow!" shouted another from the rear.

As the shouting intensified, it drowned out the approach of the scorpion. The man who had shouted from the rear shouted in pain now, and as the others looked to see why, that was when it became evident the scorpion was now upon them. Flicking it's tail, it sent the previously attached guard through the air, causing him to land just in front of Nayash. A shrill shriek from the creature was all that was heard before it shot forward with blinding speed, snatching up unfortunate guards and severing them in half with it's incredibly sharp and powerful pincers. As the remaining guards fled, several stayed to fight the beast, firing arrows and using their lances. However, just as the scout had said, it's hide was far too tough to pierce with any weapons. The arrows deflected harmlessly away, while the lances snapped, breaking under the force of their wielders' thrusts. It truly did seem that Seles was doomed, it would take a miracle to stop a monstrosity such as this, and in this day and age, miracles were far and few between. The beast hissed at several lances and lowered it's tail, poison spraying out from the stinger's tip. The lances instantly began to corrode, along with their wielders. The scorpion spun sharply, letting off another stream of poison, killing a few more guards and destroying a large wooden shrine that had been in the village for as long as anyone could remember. The beast shrieked again, this time setting it's sights on the pair of warriors, Nayash and Veragwen. It snapped it's pincers, then charged towards them.

Picking a lock? Now why didn't I think of that? Tyme thought, staring at the hairpin Sara had produced. He stood and moved to his own cell door, examining the lock on it carefully, sighing as he realized he wouldn't be able to pick this particular lock. "I know a bit about lockpicking, growing up on the streets and all, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to pick this lock. It appears to be more complicated than the usual kind." he responded. He looked over at Red when he spoke, listening for any sounds, "I think you're imagining things, kid, I don't hea-" he was suddenly interrupted by a popping noise. Tyme recognized the popping noise right away, Gunfire. But from who? he wondered, his head jerking to the door as another popping sound was heard just on the other side. He narrowed his eyes, fully expecting the men in black to come bursting in, only to find it wasn't them at all. He listened to the red-haired woman, it appeared they were there to save them, not to kill them. As one of the men came to shoot the lock off, he was asked if he knew how to use either a sword or gun, "I'm a gunblader, I can use either weapon. If you happen to have a gunblade, I'd prefer that, but if you don't, then I'll let you determine what to give me based on what kind of fighter you need." he replied. Finally, his luck was starting to change, he was finally getting out of here. However, there was one thing he had to get back before he would consider leaving, "Red Lady, those men took something important from me. A ring. I'd like to get it back before we leave." he said, still waiting to be given his weapon.
Many of the townsfolk couldn't help but notice the newcomer, most stopping to stare at the foreign warrior, whether it be in admiration for wielding such an unusual weapon, or simply because of her beauty. Regardless of what their reasons were, the stranger didn't go unnoticed, and it appeared she had no intention of taking that attention off of her. Eventually Seles' Elder approached the woman, a pair of heavily armed guards with him, "Welcome stranger, to our little village of Seles. Judging from your clothes, you must be from all the way out in Death Frontier. You must have journeyed far for many days to get here, no doubt you've come to slay the creature which plagues our land? Of course you have, why else would you be here? Come, let me introduce you to Veragwen, our finest warrior. Perhaps you both could come up with some ideas on how to fight the beast? This way." he said, not giving Nayash the chance to reply or protest. As the man walked, they eventually started to pass bandaged men and women, several of them delirious and mumbling. A few others were shouting something about poison, and one more was freaking out about seeing several comrades 'cut in half' before his eyes. It was clear the attacks on Seles were getting more and more dangerous by the day. The man stepped into a large medical tent, "Veragwen, we have a warrior from the Death Frontier, she's here to help slay the beast. I hope you'll give her as much information as you can." the elder said before leaving.

Armond had remained in council with the king for a few hours, discussing the reports of both the creature's attacks on Seles, and of the possibility that Blitz could be behind the recent local monster rampages through the forest. The most recent report was brought in minutes before the meeting was to end, apparently the usually docile serpents of the forest have started to rampage as well, their overlord made an appearance not far from Seles. "King Zeke, this situation is growing dire with each passing day. My contacts in Seles have informed me of several warriors and hunters that have gone into the forest in search of the rampaging creature. I understand that several have already been found dead, either by the beast's poison, or from being cut clean in half. You and I both know Seles can't stand another rampaging attack from the beast, that's why I'm strongly suggesting you send some soldiers out there." he said, pointing to Seles on the map lying on the table in front of them. Zeke shook his head, "No, Armond, I am certain the beast will fall before it attacks again." he replied. Armond frowned, "What makes you so sure?" he queried. "Because I've received reports from our allies that a warrior from Death Frontier has been spotted heading in this direction. You know how strong those warriors are, the beast will be slain soon enough. Perhaps you should send your servant, Astharoth to retrieve the beast's slayer?" he suggested. Armond nodded, "A good plan, Your Highness. If I may be excused." he said, bowing before he left. Once outside the door, he turned to his servant, "I have a job for you, you are to go to Seles and bring back the one who slays the beast rampaging in the forest there. However, I want you to do so under my name. Pretend you are Armond Zeraltus and bring the person back here for their reward. A simple task, yes? Oh, and you'll need to wear something more...noble-like. Change before you leave. That's all until you return Astharoth." he instructed the male, giving him a smile.
