Finally hearing her give an answer, turned out to be the most unexpected squad of them all. Thirteen did have some odd individuals after all, but didn't think it had odd ones like her. Yu's eyes widened when she suddenly stabbed her own palm with her knife which made Yu jump a bit. "H-hey now, just because you didn't cut me is no reason to harm yourself. I'm a lieutenant afterall! I even have Bankai, if youd cut me, then it would be more questionably for me to even be my current rank! Geesh, why do you want to cut me anyway...... Ummm your name if I may ask?"

Shizuka continued to look down at her left palm that had her knife through it, she then slowly pulled the knife out of her hand and watched the blood drip from them both, she then listened to Yu speak and ask her why she wanted to cut him and what her name was. Shizuka spoke in the same tone as always as she continued to look at her hand and knife "It's fun...I like to watch things bleed......And Shizuka...that is my name" Shizuka continued to look at her hand bleed...it had been a long time since she had to wound herself due to her failure...

Nothing came from the woman, so she was either the silent type, or she really wanted to cut him. he watched her made a blue orb only to send it near him causing dust to shoot out around him. He heard her speak something, then out of the blue saw not a knife, but a scythe blade coming towards his neck to take it from his shoulders, that's when he sighed and stood still, as the scythe instead of slicing through him came to a dead stop upon contact. "Hey now, this is a spar. This would have killed someone that's equal in power to you.And sorry to disappoint you, but cutting me would require near all of your power in one go, if you wanted to cut me. What squad are you in? Two perhaps? Maybe twelve?" Yu asked as he pushed the scythe away from himself as he looked at her.

As Shizuka brought her scythe to Yu's neck it stopped dead, she then landed on the floor behind him yet still her scythe was against his neck, she then looked down at her hands as she watched blood drip from them, she then listened to him speak. She then spoke herself however in a quiet and seemingly emotionless tone as usual "13..." Shizuka wanted to cut this man so badly but even her scythe could do nothing to him, this caused her to seal her Zanpakuto back into it's knife form as she looked at it, no blood on it at all...this was something she didn't like to see...that was when she stabbed her knife through the palm of her left hand, yet showed no emotion at all when doing this, she just left the knife in her left hand, watching blood drip from it onto the floor. If she failed to cut her target then she'd cut herself or worse...this was the way she punished herself for being to weak to cut something she wanted to cut...

As she went flying back he felt a little bad as it seemed like he may have overdone it. He waited for the dust clouds to vanish to see what damage had been done to the woman, a bruise from the attack and a few cuts. As she went back on the offensive she shot a byakurai at him, which made him prepared to intercept it, when suddenly he saw the knife coming at him, followed by her shunpoing and grabbing the knife attempting to again cut into him. He grabbed her right arm with his left while the byakurai hit his right shoulder, yet left only a tiny bruise at most. "Hey not bad, that might have gotten a low level enemy. What are you most skilled in, Zanjutsu since you like cutting things?" Yu asked, this time pointing his index finger at her and using hado number one on her to push her backwards.

Once again Shizuka's hand was caught, she looked at Yu's right shoulder seeing only a small bruise, she was then sent skidding back a little from the Hado 1 Yu used. Shizuka then looked at her Knife again then she looked to Yu, seemingly not hearing his words as she then raised her left arm and aimed her left palm at him, a blue cracking orb then formed in her left palm then she aimed down slightly to the ground just infront of Yu and fired it at the ground sending dust flying up and clouding the area, Shizuka then used Shunpo to appear in the air as she then spoke "Suffer, Kekishiku" her tiny knife Zanpakuto then grew into a scythe, she had tried to get it in just the right position that so when it grew the inner blade of the scythe would be almost wrapped around Yu's neck, this is when she pulled back literally trying to decapitate him with her scythe

Again silence came, which strangely enough lead Yu to become uncomfortable. Almost like he confused them for a sibling and just hugged them right away. he saw her raise her knife up, which made him sheath his own and instead raise his fists up. He watched her slowly walk before making a shunpo which he followed a little easily. She attempted to cut him with that knife of hers, which made him wonder what she found appealing about cutting people or anything for that matter. It seemed more a cut of want than a serious one, so he caught her hand with his left hand, and held it in place. He looked at her releasing her hand, but raising his right hand to her forehead to attempt a flick. He had to hold back on most things, cause if it took near no effort to stop her attack, then he could tell she was most likely new.

As Shizuka went to cut Yu her hand was caught by him, this caused her to look to her hand, her expression blank even as Yu raised his right hand to her forehead and used Oni Dekopin on her, this sent her flying back in a large cloud of dust that then erupted once she made contact with a tree. As the dust settled Shizuka could be seen standing, a small bruise on her forehead and a few cuts on her arms and legs, she looked down at her left forearm and twisted it slightly along with her hand, she then let her left arm fall to her side as looked up at Yu, once again she began walking towards him, her expression still that of a blank one as she then stopped, raising her left hand she then pointed at Yu then fired a Hado 4 from her index finger, aiming to hit his right shoulder, she then with her right hand threw her Knife Zanpakuto towards Yu then shunpoed to catch it as it got close to Yu, aiming to cut from his left shoulder down to his left hip

Yu watched her seemingly act almost like a zombie would which amde him think of Ryuu, and note some odd people he has meet in his life. One who ate hollows and one wh-. Yu's trail of thought cut off when he was suddenly asked quite easily, if he could be cut by her. Yu stared at her as he scratched his head. "Cut me? if you mean a spar, then sure. You do know what your going up against. Even if you are lower ranked, I will still take any challenge seriously." Yu said as he rubbed the back of his head. A man with a mysterious past, a man who ate hollows, and one who asks people if they can cut them. I certainly meet some quirky ones." Yu spoke mainly to himself.

Shizuka continued to look at Yu and listened as he spoke, offering her a spar or more taking her offer for her wanting to spar with him...regardless..this would be fun...win or lose..life of death...she'd enjoy this...after all...aslong as she saw blood, she'd be happy. Shizuka looked at Yu then raised her Knife up, looking at it as the last drops of blood dripped off. Shizuka then began walking towards Yu slowly, she then used shunpo mid walk to appear closer to him, standing infront of him as she then slashed her knife at Yu, aiming to cut his torso, in truth, with the difference in their power she'd likely end up doing more damage to herself just by trying to cut him

Yu who was bandaged up from what he went through a while ago walked in the forest. he could have had Fuma instantly heal his wounds, but frankly. Fuma terrified him. The man was like a shadow that just caught you when you least expected it. Suddenly he started hearing a echoing kind of scream indicating a hollow, followed by several running away. This made Yu scratch his head as he walked to the source, finding a woman sitting on a hollow carving into. She seemed blank while doing it, this was a tad unnerving. It made him think back to his days of being tested for Squad one by Shinji, and the words he said. Of course most would throw away anything a traitor said, but Yu still wasn't convinced. So pulling out one of his zanpakutos he sliced through the hollows mask. To stop its suffering. "Their are better pass times than torturing a hollow you know." Yu said sheathing his zanpakuto as he caught near on a glimpse of a smile as the hollow started fading away.

As Shizuka continued to carve words into the hollow she heard it suddenly stop screaming, this caused her to look to it's head as she then noticed the Lieutenant of Squad 1, she didn't care much for the ranks of people but she knew of at least the Lieutenants and Captains. As the hollow faded Shizuka stood up, the words the man spoke seemingly didn't reach her as she turned her attention to her knife that she held out infront of her slightly, watching the blood drip off it slowly, she seemed almost memorised by it however the blood stopped dripping...there was only so much on the blade, this caused her to look down to her left hand then she looked to Yu as she spoke, her voice seemingly quiet but yet it was emotionless "Can I cut you?" she asked, tilting her head slightly

Shizuka was sat on the back of a hollow that was trapped by a Horin she had placed on it, she sat there carving various words into it's back with her knife, each of these words were cut slowly and would cause a great deal of pain for the hollow as it let out screams. Die Slow, Bleed, Scream, Burn alive, Suffer, Waste Away, Fade Away, Cry, Beg for Forgiveness, Pay for you Sins, Sink into hell These were only some of the many words she had cut into the hollows back, however even as the hollow screamed her face remained emotionless, even as she carved these words into it's back she showed no emotion...it was hard to tell if she even enjoyed doing this as she showed not physical enjoyment. Shizuka then looked up slightly to see hollow standing around the area however rather than getting closer they only ran, even mindless creatures could feel fear and why would they not? They could see the pain this hollow was going through..she didn't care for killing these things quickly, she wanted to take her time with things like this...

Rio bit the palms of her hands harshly, hoping to cause inner Rio pain before she looked up at Kaizo angrily. Within a second, she was trapped in that gaze of his once again as he spoke, looking into both of her eyes once more. Her hands soon slowly slipped off of her face, unable to leave Kaizo's stare as if stuck in a tracker beam once again... - -Kaizo's word once again penetrated the dark atmosphere, causing Rio to continue faintly smiling sadly. Kan and Hana were both still busy with trying to pull her up and onto the ledge they occupied, but were still unable to... whatever had Rio had an iron grip.... It continued to travel up Rio's body, capturing her left arm. Hana yelled, hopefully reaching through to Rio to get her to actually do something... Hearing this made Kan's eyes widen. Kan grunted while still holding onto Rio's wrist tightly, this time with both hands as Hana's arms were secured around her waist. Hana could feel the force pulling her towards the edge, however she fought against it with as much force as she could muster for as long as she could. Rio continued to do nothing but smile faintly, Kaizo's words the only thing she allowed herself to hear. She whispered once more before purposely scratching Kan's wrists with her one free hand. Kan wouldn't let go, but Rio didn't let up and continued to scratch harder until Kan inevitably released her unintentionally. Kan screamed. Followed Hana as both spirits leered over the edge of the ledge. Rio let her other arm drop as the black, web-like, thick strings attached onto her other arm.- - Rio suddenly screamed, gripping her hair while ripping out the hair-bands and squeezing her eyes closed at the same time. Rio's voice grew angry as her tails began pulling Kaizo apart much stronger all of a sudden. Opening her eyes, one crystal and the other still a cloudy silver, she looked up at Kaizo with pure hatred and utter anger. Running towards Kaizo, Rio lifted her right hand, straightening her fingers as she aimed to pierce right through Kaizo's body.... but as she ran, her anger and hatred faded into a dazed expression while all of her tails abruptly shattered around them both, shards scattering to the floor as Rio looked at Kaizo with both eyes wide before opening her mouth, whispering as she got closer to him. Her whispered, soft voice would echo inside Kaizo's mind also while her hand instead moved to gently touch Kaizo's chest with her palm. Without her mouth visibly opening again, Rio's voice would enter Kaizo's mind once more as her crystal eye stayed pinned to Kaizo's eyes. At this moment, Kaizo's mind would go blank as he'd loose consciousness along with Rio, leaving them both to fall flat onto the ground, Rio landing on top of Kaizo's chest with her eyes still wide. Within a blink of an eye, Kaizo would find himself within Rio's inner world, lying on the dirt, scarcely grassy floor. Around him he would find many trees with pure black leaves while the floor beneath them would be littered with coral and pink leaves. Not too far in front of him, he'd find a large lake, the surface mirrored. Within a short moment later, screams of Rio's name from two women would emit from the lake, sounding faint as if far from where he was.

Kaizo watched Rio as she seemingly changed drastically then he heard her voice within his mind causing his eyes to widen then he felt her hand gently touch his chest and before Kaizo could do anything his mind went blank and when he opened his eyes he was within some odd world, he sat up and looked around and rubbed the back of his head with his right hand "Where am I?" Kaizo then got to his feet as he noticed the large lake infront of him, he walked up to the lake and looked at it noticing it's mirrored surface "What is this place?" Kaizo's eyes then widened when he heard Rio's name being called by two unfamiliar voices however the voices seemingly carried panic which in turn caused Kaizo to panic, noticing the voices coming from the lake confused Kaizo as he looked around panicking "What is going on!?" Kaizo then looked to the lake and grit his teeth "Wherever this is it aint normal!" Kaizo then took a deep breath and went to step into the lake and go deeper to try see why he heard Rio's name being called from the lake

Rio's ears perked up at the familiar sound, listening closely to it.

"...the truth is...I'm only strong because of you, you're what gives me strength...If I've lost you, then I've nothing left to fight for...so death will be the only fitting thing for me...I don't want to live in a world without you, I can't..."

Kan and Hana heard Kaizo's voice which caused them to faintly wonder how and why they were able to hear it but that wasn't important at the moment... what was important was saving Rio...

All of a sudden, Rio's hand latched back onto Kan's wrist. She was oddly smiling softly. Inside her mind, the negative thoughts were slowly being overrun with thoughts of Kaizo which helped slowly bring her back to reality. "... Kaizo..."

- Back in the normal world -

Rio continued to watch Kaizo, listening to his words. "... Kaizo..." Her voice sounded softer as she spoke Kaizo's name out of the blue before she blinked, her expression darkening suddenly. "Ulgh she isn't dead yet?!" Rio spoke to herself, clenching her right fist. "Damn that persistent bitch."

- Rio's inner world -

Kan began pulling harder when she felt Rio's hand grip her wrist again. "HANA PULL HARDER!" "I'M TRYING!!" Whatever was latching onto Rio didn't give up, however, with Kaizo on her mind, Rio refused to give in anymore. "Kaizo... help.... do what... you did.... before" Rio continued to speak, not realising that she was more connected to her body due to the black strands being connected to her.

- Normal world again -

Rio's tails began pulling Kaizo's limbs out further, looking at him with a blank stare. "Given up. How pathetic. You failed because you gave up, not that you had a chance to save her anyway. But honestly, a Captain such as yourself, giving up so easily over one person is utterly ridiculous. Does your own life not mean anything to you? Actually there is no need for you to answer that, it's clear your answer-Kaizo... help... do what... you did.... before-..." As she spoke, Rio's voice suddenly softened as words slipped out of her mouth uncontrollably before she suddenly covered it with her right hand. "Fuck." She murmured.

Kaizo continued to look down, his hair covering his eyes, the tears still running down his face as he felt his limbs being pulled out further. He listened as Rio spoke then his eyes widened when her voice seemingly suddenly changed causing him to look up at her with his eyes still widened "R-Rio?" Kaizo looked into Rio's eyes, ignoring Rio's reaction to this he began to speak "Rio! come back! don't let this fake beat you! I need you here with me! I have nothing to fight for without you...nothing to live for...I never noticed this until now but you are my reason for living...every breath I take is for you, every single person I fight is for you! So long as I have you in my life I cannot lose! I will refuse to die no matter what! Because I refuse to leave you alone in this cruel world...much like you did for me...you took me in and restored my faith in this dark world...you're the light that allows me to fight the darkness the plagues our world...So do not leave me alone...do not lose! if I lose the very thing I love and the very thing the brings light to this world then I will have nothing...I will slip back into the darkness and what good will I be then?...So just come back to me already!" The tears still rolled down Kaizo's face however he continued to look into Rio's eyes...

Rio jumped back after landing her strike, paying attention to Kaizo while grinning. "Not only are you rude, you also think I'm stupid~ Do you think I can't tell that you're up to something? Ridiculous of you to underestimate me like that." She chuckled a little before continuing to speak. "You should watch what you're saying Kaizo, I can already feel Rio's pain towards what you've been saying to her~ How very disgusting of you to make her feel so horrible due to your words." Rolling her eye in a playful way, Rio's eye darkened while her grin stretched further. "I think now is a better time than any to show you a little secret~" As Rio spoke, she raised her energy and titled her head forward. Her fringe covered her eyes while the only visible part of her face was her toothy, sinister grin. "Oh how I've waited so long to do this again~" Crystal began tearing out of her back as her mouth emitted pained grunts, growing to form large crystal fox-tails. The tails laid flat on floor behind her as they continued to grow, the tips covered in blood. Once all of her tails had formed, Rio flicked her head up to look at Kaizo, her normal eye colour swirling into a cloudy silver. Without another word, four fox-tails would shoot towards each of Kaizo's limbs before the tips would wrap tightly around them, holding Kaizo in place while the two wrapped around his arms began pulling both of his arms outwards lightly if he was caught.

As Kaizo looked at Rio preparing himself to receive a deadly strike from her in some sort of effort to get Rio to fight back against this dark side of her...seemingly nothing was going to get through, even if he let his body get torn apart it'd still change nothing, This caused Kaizo's head to drop a little, his hair falling infront of his eyes as he began to think of the times before that he spent with Rio

Kaizo thought of the first time he met Rio, he was Squadless, had next to no money and was having to live in some broken down shack...he was outside on his knees, exhausted from his training but cursed himself that he couldn't get stronger. Then she showed up...like some sort of angel, appearing before him and although he was a stranger to her she took him in without a worry, gave him a place to sleep, food to eat, somewhere he could clean himself...she gave him a home...from the moment he met her, he felt as if he was stronger...as he got closer to her, he only got stronger...Everything he had done is for her, every single thing...However as Kaizo reflected on the recent events he felt as if he had lost his way...as if he stopped caring as much as he used to...in fact...it seemed he had gotten weaker since...it was no wonder he lost so easily to Kurisa...He had forgotten why he fought so hard, why he wanted to become strong...it wasn't to avenge his clan...it was for this woman, the woman that took him in and cared for him when he had nothing, no one...she was there for him every step of the way...so this fake...she could spout whatever crap she wanted! Kaizo wouldn't believe this anymore...and he wouldn't act like someone he's not....

As Kaizo looked down a small smile formed on his face, he then looked up at Rio, looking her in both her eyes "I'm sorry Rio...ever since I became Captain, I lost my way...I've become weaker...I can feel it...the truth is...I'm only strong because of you, you're what gives me strength...If I've lost you, then I've nothing left to fight for...so death will be the only fitting thing for me...I don't want to live in a world without you, I can't..." As rio's tails pulled at Kaizo's arms Kaizo showed no pain...the only thing that felt any pain was his heart...he was fully prepared to die right now, it seemed he had nothing left to fight for...thinking this only caused Kaizo's head to drop a little, his hair covering his eyes once again as a small smile formed on his face "I guess I'll be joining you soon Kurisa Kuchiki...I'm sorry I couldn't protect Rio like you asked of me...I just can't bring myself to hurt her anymore...even if it is some psycho in control of her body...I can't do it...I can't do that to her...it's killing me inside..." as Kaizo said this a few tears ran down his cheeks and dripped off his chin onto the floor "I guess I never deserved to hold the title of Captain...I failed as a Captain, I failed as a Shinigami...I failed as a Partner...I failed everything!" Kaizo then grit his teeth as he then began shouting "If you're going to kill me then do it already! There is nothing you can do to me that will cause me pain! you're wasting your fucking time! I don't feel a single thing...my body is numb..."
