An option is that the planet can have a race that isn't developed yet and more based on a tribal community. Say maybe bronze age technology at best. So it would be tribal natives that help live of the land, the middle road humans, and more developed psychic race most like the Protoss from Starcraft with communication based of telepathy (Like a galaxy police of sorts.)

Actually I was thinking about having an Indigenous tribal race as a potential danger for our adventurous pioneers to face. Hostile natives, you know?

I'm going to have a think on the name for the Psionic race. Maybe something airy sounding, with A, U and S in it.

Some interesting ideas. But what about race names. For the Insectoids i think it should be something insecty sounding. Something with K and T sounds Like the word "chitinous"
And the Psionics should have something smoother sounding, even a bit mystical, maybe?

I think 3 races would be a good place to start, don't you think? Humans plus two others that make up the... I don't know... Unified Galactic Council? Does that sound like a good name for the government? The UGC.

As for the other two races, lets hear some ideas.

I'm mad at myself because I thought of a porn game (of all things) when I read the summary, with planet rushes and all.

But before deciding interest I'll need more info on the world. What is the player's relation with one another? Do they come from the same ship? How many races are there? What dangers should be expected? How 'Sci-fi' is the technology? Do we have FTL travel or Star Trek replicators?Either way, I do plan on joining sooner or later.

- Player relations would, by default be nothing more than fellow adventurers competing or working together for fame and fortune.
- I haven't decided on whether to include any Spacefaring Alien races, but it's something that can be discussed here. What sort of races are you interested in seeing?
- Dangers would be the sort you'd typically expect in frontier/outer-rim space: Pirates, predatory wildlife, exotic diseases and maybe even hostile natives if that's something you'd be interested in.
- Tech level is typical sci-fi, I guess: Robots, holocommunicators, personal shields, datapads, hoverbikes/cars, laser guns (though projectile guns are still available, both the primitive conventional powder type and the more advanced mag-rail type)

If you can think of anything else feel free to post it here. I'm completely open to ideas.

This is an idea I've had rumbling around in my noggin for a while now. Basically in the distant future Humans have expanded out and colonized other worlds in other systems and possibly met other friendly spacefaring races. Now every 30 or 40 years the central galactic government, which I've yet to name, builds a series of Jump Portals that allow ships to "slingshot" out to otherwise unreachable areas of space where they then assemble pre-built return portals. What follows is a rush of colonization as this new frontier of space is slowly tamed over the next few decades while the central government prepare for the next expansion.

Now this RP will initially be set on a single frontier world, that has just recently been colonized and is still very wild and untamed. Raised on stories of how your parents/parent earned their fame and fortune on the frontier during the last planet-rush, you eagerly set off for the new frontier to seek your own adventures. This is just one backstory idea and you are free to come up with your own.

I'd like an active OCC community so that we can work together and think up some fun and dangerous adventures for our characters to have on this frontier world and, depending on the successfulness of this RP I might start another one on a new world, with new dangers and new adventures. We'll be able to bring our experienced characters to this new world, or make new ones, and new people can join in.

Anyway thats my idea and where I'd like it to go. Let me know what you all think.

Ok so Charlotte is the Shino of ants, got it. So I'll add the Ant Queen to her familiar part but what should I put under Pact? Controlling swarms of ants?
