It's fine, in all honestly it sort of ties in with past encounters Navi's had with the Princess Zelda of Ocarina of Time.

Politics and the fact that Ganondorf is smarter than to challenge the hero to a battle here, all Link needs to do is kill him and Dark Link is toast. Also Midna would be battling both sides or have to pick one. Also yeah Dark Link's Master sword is of Light's bane, it destories beings of Light and goodness, bale emits a black aura when it unsheathed.

Wait so is Shadow Link wielding Demise' sword, the dark version of the Master's Sword that Ghirahim was the spirit of?
Navi stayed quiet as Link infiltrated the Castle. Her breath caught when he entered in through the moat. She remembered doing this a very long time ago with another youth in green. Then again waterways were usually the weakest point in any Castle it was more than likely just a coincidence. Hyrule Castle itself was not the same one that Navi had once seen. It had been demolished and rebuilt a half-dozen times since her days. The architecture was similar though and Navi noted with disgust the guards were just as incompetent. Link slipped by them more than easily.

Navi found it mildly sad how boring there infiltration of the Castle was. Eventually however Link came to the Princess Zelda's quarters. He entered them quickly to find the Princess on the otherside as though she had been waiting. Zelda was at first alarmed at how Link had entered the Castle but seeing the Triforce of Courage glowing on his hand calmed her.

The sight of her brought back horrible memories for Navi, of a Princess not much older than this Zelda. She was angry, beyond angry and it was Navi's fault. "Strike her name and her deeds from the record and legends of the Hero. If she need be there refer to her only as 'a friend' or 'the fairy'. Navi of the Kokiri Forest, I banish you from this place. You are no longer welcome in Castle Town. If anyone should see you here they have every right to kill you on sight." The Princess waved her hand. "Go before I change my mind and have you executed."

Navi gulped but this Princess Zelda had not that rage on her face. Indeed her attention was not focused on Navi at all but only on Link. As it always has been, Navi thought with some amount of contempt. Zelda showed Link a glorious view of the Castle Town Square were some sort of event appeared to be taking place, Navi could make out no more than a large crowd but it was what she felt that worried her the most. She could feel three... no four, three sources of black magic emanating from the square. The distance made it difficult to divine exactly where they came from or exactly how many there were but the fairy could tell something very dark was going down.

Link and Zelda agreed that they should take a closer look. Zelda volunteered a secret passage that ran beneath the Castle for there exit. It was deep and old and indeed may well have dated back to one of the previous Castles built on this spot. It was far older than the passages above.

When they arrived at the Square a strange sight met there eyes but even stranger was all that Navi could feel. She slipped off Link's shoulder and fell to the ground transforming back to human shape just as she touched the paving stones. For several seconds she could not find the strength to stand under the weight of the dark powers in the square.

The greatest of them all belonged to a dark skinned man that towered above the crowd. The power that he gave off was not evil exactly but it felt tainted. Navi had felt the same presence ages ago, in the great Black Tower during the Hero of Time's final battle the dark wind that had prevented Navi from assisting her Hero had felt the same as this, it was the Triforce of Power which could mean only one thing about the man's identity. The King of Evil was returned.

The next was that of a man that stood in the middle of the crowd his appeared the duplicate of the Hero standing behind Navi but she knew what he truly was. He too she had met ages past, deep in the Water Temple below Lake Hylia he had been part of the corrupting force that nested there. Shadow Link, Darkness' Champion just as much as Link was Light's. He was reborn to match the current Hero but his power had not changed. They were stronger now though, with age his magic seemed to have intensified.

Then there was the elegant Lady that stood at the center of the ground. Her power was not so dark as that Shadow Link possessed but it was black magic, magic of the darkest night right before the dawn comes, the magic of Twilight. Navi had never met this particular figure before but the fairy had lived through the age of Twilight. Hidden with the other fairy deep within the Cave of Ordeals were the Great Fairy dwelt. None had been pleased to see Navi but as much as they despised her they would not doom her to death in the Twilight for fairies cannot survive in that world. From the legends Navi guessed this to be a decedent of the Twilight Princess, Midna. Only the royal family of that realm would have artifacts to allow the Twili to avoid melting into the shadows that light cast.

The accumulation of these figures and the magic they gave off was not a good sign. It weight so heavily on Navi that as she made to stand she retched onto the cobblestone of the street before getting shakily to her feet. "My Princess, this is not a safe place to stand. I would advise you to get as far from here as you can, this may escalate to violence and given who is here in this square the Hero may not emerge victorious. It may be best that the Triforce of Wisdom was elsewhere should a battle break out."
It occurs to me that all three Triforces are now within about ten feet of eachother. What's to stop the final battle from erupting in the town square?

Yeah, I wanted to give him unique powers as he doesn't have an arsenal of items like Link does. Dark Link gets magic and Link gets hook-shot and overpowered musical instruments.

Hey Apollo I was thinking, generally with doppelganger situations there is always one fundamental difference between the copy and original (aside from attitude). You posted earlier as Dark Link that he needed to defeat the Hero and corrupt the Master's Sword and if he were to do so then he would be granted a human life. Bearing this in mind maybe even with his magicks he can't completely replicate the Master's Sword. The one he wields may be the same design and look very similar but there would be something wrong with it compared to the original.

What do you think?
Okay guys, I'm really sorry but I think I'm going to have to back out of this.

My home situation is rather complicated and as such I only get internet access every two or three days for maybe an hour or two. As much as I love this story with that kind of access I can't hope to keep up with a roleplay that moves as fast as this one. On most RPs my access is not an issue but given how this one is built two or three days is enough to get completely left behind in the storyline. Already Aline's not with the rest of the sages and that distance between where I am in the story and where everyone else is is just going to keep getting bigger.

If my situation changes I hope there's still room for me here but for the moment I have to say farewell and adieu.
Aline looked at the mark made on her hand. It was clearly a coiled serpent, she'd not seen it before and indeed she was sure it had not been there when she went to sleep. It was of course possible that the fairy had placed it there as she slept. Then again if the fairy was smart enough to come up with the idea of bringing proof of her claim she most defiantly would have come with something more substantial than a tattoo. Something else occurred to Aline in that second and she almost laughed as she lowered the curved sword.

"You have no idea who I am do you?" It was impossible and yet that seemed to be the only explanation. The fairy must only have had there locations and it seemed to have no knowledge of the Hylean Law. "Alright I'll go with ya. the Castle Town right? Just give me a moment to change."

Aline exited the house and after asking permission of Malon who have risen at the crack of dawn entered there bathing house. It was a small thing built on one of the rivers. The water was cold but it was clean and refreshing. Aline disrobed and took a bottle of oil from her pack. The herbs she used to dye her hair would not come off in water but they were oil soluble. If she was the Desert sage she'd go to Castle Town with her hair as brilliantly Scarlet as the day she was born. If she was recognized she had this fairy to vouch for her and she was more than capable of dodge the Hylean Guard. She'd done it before.

After washing Aline dressed herself in soft leather traveling cloths. She strapped her twin scimitars to her back and covered them with her cloak. The fairy was still waiting outside. Aline gave Malon money for her stay, the supper and a handful of provisions before bidding her farewell and walking from the ranch. She was cold from her bath but the sun was hot today and she needed to move quickly. She would arrive in Castle Town soon, she was after all very fast. It came with her upbringing.
Aline trudged across Hyrule Fields. It was a long expanse of land in the center of Hyrule. It was not particularly unpleasant, walking through the desert was much worse but it was very very empty. There were monsters every now and again which Aline dispatched quickly, otherwise it was just a lot of land that no one seemed interested in developing. Almost as if the fields had heard her thoughts over the next hill Aline saw a structure, it was more or less walled off from the rest of the fields, no doubt to keep the monsters out.

It was daring of these folks to continuing living this far from civilization what with the strange happenings that had been taking place in the land recently, ancient monsters awakening, anyone of them could raze this place to the ground.

Aline decided that if anything else she need some new supplies, her food was almost run out. As she approached she saw an old sign hanging that read, "Lon Lon Ranch". It was made with care but clearly had seen better days. Aline glanced up the path to make sure no one was coming before she took a pick and tension wrench of her a leather pouch and set about opening the padlock that kept the gate shut. It was an old thing that should have been replaced years ago and so Aline had no difficulty sliding the tumblers into place. With a satisfying click the lock cracked open. Aline slid it off the gate pushed it open and set the lock on the ground just inside.

As Aline walked up the path she came across a girl. Her skin was pale by Gerudo standards but tanned likely from working outside, her hair was red, perhaps a little duller than Aline's natural color but it accented her blue eyes nicely. She was wearing a white blouse and had a yellow banana tied round her neck, her skirt was modest and pale pink with a belt that had the Triforce inscribed upon it. She was lugging a bucket of milk.

When she saw Aline coming up the path the girl gave a small gasp and dropped the bucket. It fell on its side and creamy milk saturated the road. Feeling guilty Aline ran towards it and pushed the bucket back up before anymore of its contents could be lost.

"I'm really sorry, I ain't trying to cause any trouble or nuttin'." Aline said looking up at the girl.

"No it's my fault, we aren't used to getting visitors out this far. How did you get in by the way, the gate's supposed to be locked."

Thinking on her feet Aline chose the simplest lie. "Wasn't when I got there, there was an old rusty padlock lyin' on the ground though."

The girl gave an exasperated sigh, Papa'll have forgotten again. I swear the only thing he ever thinks of are sleep and his Cuccos. My name's Malon by the way, yours?"

"Alexandra but most just call me Alex, listen I've been on the road awhile, was looking for somewhere to board and some food to take with me when I go. I've got ruppees, can pay ya for it."

Malon smiled, "Visitors are always welcome, it gets right lonely all the way out here. Come on I'll fix you something to eat, you look like you could use a good meal."

The sun had been setting when Aline had arrived at the ranch and by the time she and Malon (her father was likely elsewhere) were finished a supper of hot stew it was well dark outside. Malon was kind enough to show Aline to a spare room. It was modest but much more comfortable than anything Aline had ever had living at the Gerudo complex. Everything there was purely functional, only the King possessed quarters that steered more towards comfort.

Aline crawled between the covers and as she was drifting off she heard a sweet melody coming from the pastures, Malon must be singing to the horses. With that tune in her head Aline fell into a deep sleep.

She was awakened roughly the next morning by a ball of blue light, "I've found you I've found you I've found you!" it shouted bouncing up and around in the air far too happy for this early in the morning. Not of course that Aline was lazy, she was capable of going from deep sleep to a weapon in hand in a matter of seconds when the time called for it however unless this fairy turning into something actually interesting this was not one of those times.

"Princess Zelda needs to see you at the castle at ONCE! All the sages are gonna meet there! Hurry up! Wake up you lazy bum and rub that sleep out of your eyes! Honestly, how can the fate of the whole world rely on such a lazy person! C'mon already! Zelda'll answer all your questions when we get there!"

Aline was tempted to laugh, her one of the sages. The Goddesses must truly have a deplorable sense of humor. The next instant however it occurred to her what this actually might be. It was far to convent that she was one of the great sages and was needed at the Castle a place full of Hylean guards that had been trying to capture her for years. There was a far more likely scenario. Finally fed up with false sighting of her and leads that went no where the guards had resorted to magic to bring her.

In one swift movement Aline drew a curved scimitar from her back and pointed it with deadly aim at the fairy. If necessary Aline was fully capable of slicing the creature in half. Then again, on the off chance that this glowing bug was telling the truth she may as well give it a chance to explain.

"Alright Fairy, ya've got about two minutes to prove this ain't a hoax before I cleave ya in two."
I'm here, I'm alive, man this is moving fast.
