Fast and fluid would really depend on who he was before being sired. Being a vampire grants certain abilities but others are based on who you were beforehand.

Not like superhero speed and strength, just enhanced reflexes, reaction times, more endurance. Basically someone who is in top physical condition, also has retractable fangs for feeding but can just drink blood out of a cup or IV bag.

As I said the agency takes power were it can get it. Just remember that unless the vampire has been on the team awhile he will not be trusted. This follows the Buffy the Vampire Slayer style vampires, burns in the sun, stake to the heart turns him to dust, crosses are corrosive to the touch, enhanced speed and strength, must drink blood to maintain strength, human is most effective acting rather like caffeine but other animal blood will do.

The idea for the RP makes it very free roam. Depending on how long they've worked with the agency and what their qualifications are there is a very broad range for power levels. That being said I can always invent demons with more power. I think the best you can do is PM me your idea and I'll make a judgment on it.

One more thing, D.I.S (I got to come up with a better name, suggestions welcome) is based out of a prestigious L.A. University. This grants them access to bright young mind for recruitment. Not everyone is recruited from college of course. Each member if the D.I.S has an undercover role at the University. It could be teacher, student, researcher etc. When dealing with branches of Law Enforcement they are granted the authority of a private branch of the Secret Service.

In Los Angeles a child looks into the shadows of his closet or the park outside his window and he sees faces in the darkness and he calls for his mother who assures him that it is just his imagination but she does this for her own sake as much as his because she sees the faces too. With eyes red like blood and teeth sharp as razors they linger in the night waiting. Every demon and monster has it's own agenda but they all end the same way no matter how grand or small the scheme they all end with the blood of innocents on clawed hands.

People lie awake at night telling themselves that everything is normal and they believe it, in the City of Angels no one sees what lurks just out of sight and no one goes looking for fear of what they might find. People have seen, people do care but so many are too scared to reveal anything. That is what we are here for.

We are people who know the truth and aren't afraid to fight it. We are people who know the score and fight for the safety of this city. We were commissioned by the governments who took notice to combat the forces of darkness, control the spread of chaos. We are a team equipped to handle these situations. We have been granted the use next gen technologies and powers we can't hope to comprehend. We have enchanters and witches and angels and werewolves and even us regular humans. Whatever it takes to keep the darkness from tearing this city apart. We are the glue that binds Los Angeles together and we cannot fail.

Since the dawn of time there have always been those creatures that should not exist upon the mortal plane. Demons who bit and tore and clawed there way out of hell and into our world. Monsters who love nothing more than to devour the blood of the innocent. However the creatures that inhabit the dark have never been unapposed. There have always been those that see into the darkness and know what is really there.

Many hundreds of years ago it was King Arthur and his Knights as well as the Wizard Myrddin who fought them. Then cults such as the Egyptian House of Life and still later that burden was handed to the Church whose fear and paranoia did far more damage than good. Regardless there have always been organizations who fight in the shadows against the forces of evil. Though the team has never been more effective or prepared demonic activity and the appearance of monsters has been growing steadily over the last six months. Something is coming and coming fast.

In 1891 the famous London Serial Killer, the Whitechapel Murderer or Jack the Ripper was captured by an investigative squad. It became immediately clear that whatever Jack had done he was not human. Before his private execution Jack spoke openly of the end of humanity and the beasts that hide in the darkness that no one sees. The leaders of Britain were scared and so formed a secret organization to investigate such occurrences. Over time it became clear that this was not merely limited to Britain but was all over the world. The organization that London had formed was forced to export itself in conjunction with the governments of various countries. The agents of D.I.S (Demonic Investigative Squad) were sent to various locations around the globe establishing Headquarters in Germany, France, Italy, Russia, America and even Canada. Over time and with the various instance of the local governments D.I.S became domesticated recruiting agents from there local area. Though they still answer to the Home Office in London the branches for the most part have become entities onto themselves.

Alright let the demon hunting begin. I'm willing to accept characters of other raises such of vampires, werewolves, witches etc within reason. Such characters would be accepted or denied on a CS by CS basis. It is best that we get a diverse cast so more than one of these will most likely not make it but again CS by CS basis. In the interest of keeping things balanced it would be best that your characters each have an area of expertise. Technology and equipment, Hacking, arcane abilities, extensive demonic knowledge that sort of thing.

The only rule I have is to avoid creating a character based in the Heavenly element, no angels graced or otherwise, no Nephilim, no Prophets, and no Fallen Angels. Sorry but these kinds of characters tend to weight on the powerful side very early on and there existence would shift the focus of the RP so I apologize and hope that you are still interested.

It isn't a glorified SWAT team, a SWAT team is tasked with one part if an operation while this team in essence this team controls and regulates the whole mission.

This I think is the best way to explain it. The team (who I'll come up with a name for) is a cross between the FBI's white collar crime division from the show White Collar and the Men of Letters from Supernatural. I can elaborate more but I would suggest you watch an episode or two of those shows to get a better understanding.

Hey North for Chris' super awesome new sword "silverlight" I thought silver blades would have no effect on Greek monsters. I thought it had to be celestial bronze or imperial gold?

This RP has become active since this thread was posted but because of some cancellations we are still casting. The RP is in the early stages so it should not be difficult to write in new players.

An interest check for a role play that centers around a government black ops team in Los Angeles. There job is to subdue arcane based threats. Basically magic hunters. Each would have there own skill sets and the government has no qualms about using power where they can get it so witch/warlock/angel/werewolf etc would be acceptable characters. The main drama begins when they capture a possessed human whose demon has been sealed inside her soul giving her control over her body and for the most part some control over the demons power. They are ordered to add her to the team with security precautions of course.
