Hey everyone. On a second thought, I just got a new job and found out just how much I'll be working. I don't want to waste everyone's time, but I hope you all have a great life. Forgive me for coming and going so much.

This seems very interesting. I would love to continue this conversation with you if your interested.

Please pop on over to the OOC and ask any questions you may have. Working on a character sheet npw
I don't know how anything works on this site but I made a page for our stuff. I also can't for the life of me figure out how to post pictures. Sorry!

Epilogue:

In 4012, humanity was invaded by extraterrestrials. World governments agreed to pool their resources, as the threat was clearly existential. The scope of the alien technology was unfathomable. Our strongest conventional weaponry barely gave us a chance at survival. The felling of the first enemy war machine was made a holiday almost globally.

It's technology was brought to Space Station Zodiac for research. Eventually the greatest scientists on the planet migrated there, and reverse engineered the craft. From this moment, humanity left behind ships, stealth fighters, and tanks. Our primary method for war became the Nephillim. Massive robots, sometimes human shaped, other times like animals. Equipped with plasma cannons, nuclear rounds, and even massive melee weapons that could combat the Seraphim. Seraphim being the unknown enemy, who's flesh and blood has still not been seen.

Pilots are selected for service on Zodiac based on several qualifications. Only four teams exist thus far, of varying size. The first project, Duo Squadron, consisted of only two Mecha. An attack, and a defense unit each specialized to work in tandem. Twin pilots, with genetic modification that even allowed them instinctual psychic communication. Since then, an equal amount of experimental technology has gone into every layer of Zodiac projects.

Now, they are staffing the latest Squadron. Lion Squadron, intended to be the point of the spear. Up until now the units created were meant to defend earth. They are our wall, and our shield. Lion Squadron will track the enemy's movements in deep space, and hopefully track down a source to the menace. Or at the very least, reveal the mystery at the heart of the enemy's existence.

Another novel approach was taken to Lion Squadron. Instead of choosing pilots after the Mecha were designed and built, the pilots were chosen from the most exceptional options first. Jet pilots, as well as experienced ground combatants, but even academics and athletes were thrown into the pool. In the end, the final pilots selected were even consulted in the design of their Mechs. These Mechs, state of the art, capable of long term deep space travel. Living quarters, space ships, and base of operations all in one.

Hello everyone!!!!! I was relying on the site to show me if anyone replied to this under my notifications. It didn't do that! So I spent the last few days thinking noone was interested. Let me try and catch up!

For Gundam design, I was thinking anything would be acceptable from Gundam, Evan Gellion (forgive my spelling), or zoids! Melee weapons and canons acceptable, with very massive designs. Each Mecha easily as tall as a rocket. With some room to play with physics abilities like gravity manipulation, plasma canons, black holes, and whatnot. Hence the psychic powers and enhancements I noted, so that you knew the science could be played with there. One might also get some cybernetic enhancements to better integrate with the machine like in Iron Blooded Orphans, but it wouldn't be necessary. I'll share some pictures after this message to include inspiration.

The reason I noted it in advanced was because I prefer two to three paragraphs per post. One being acceptable if there's less for you to do in the scene. I also envisioned a relatively longform plot involving traveling into deep space to root out the enemy and solve the mystery of their origin. That'll take some time I imagine! I'll get a character sheet worked out soon so everyone has a clearer picture of what I expect.

When I run a roleplay I generally work off a 48 hour honor system. When it's your turn to post, you have a 48 hour window in which to reply. If you can't make that, shoot us a message in the OOC chat so that we can plan accordingly. Either extending your window or moving on the scene however we can. No penalizing for this.

I hope I've answered all the questions, and you all can be patient enough to wait until the end of the night for a character sheet thread! Sorry again!

Hello! I had originally intended for this to be in the advanced interest check, but after 24 hours it has gotten no traction. So I figured I'd bring it here! I'm fine with 2 paragraphs on usual, maybe 1 if there's not a lot for you to do in the scene. I hope you enjoy the read!
