Manny outside of work is an outgoing individual. He is sweet and caring; his motivation is to bring a smile towards other people. He can act a bit silly with his sense of humor; he might throw a joke or a pun here and there. If it’s with a girl, he’ll throw a pun and a flirt, here and there. The guy never loosens his smile as he was taught smiling is contagious; overall, he has a chill attitude and loves the company of others.
When Manny puts on his costume, he plays the role of Black Antler. He chooses to rid of the outside personality and adopt an entirely different one. His personality changes to a serious tone and his mannerisms are more strict and stiff. Black Antler abandons all loose and humor aside to make way for a stern and calculating demeanor. The hero does this for the sake of his mission; there have been times where he confuses the roles and accidentally tells a joke or two, but mistakes happen. It’s a must to admit that Black Antler is one of the competitive-types as he will taunt and encourage his enemies.
Equipment: Metallic antlers that grow from his head.
Abilities:
Strength: Manny possesses superior strength compared to the average man. He is able to bench press 220 pounds as of this moment.
Speed: Manny’s speed beats both reindeer and man! He is able to sprint at the speeds of 60mph.
Antlers: His antlers enable him to attack enemies and objects head on. If they were regular, wooden antlers, they would have broken by now. Fortunately, Manny’s antlers are made from a type of metallic alloy. This gives me him an a better chance of fighting against sword-equipped enemies or sharp objects.
Temperature Drop: For some reason unknown, the temperature around Black Anter tends to drop. He has not found out why this happens, but the area does get colder. Perhaps there are other powers he’ll need to unlock through training?
TO BE LATER DEVELOPED...
Skills:
The only skills he has only pertain to using his new found strength to fight. He hasn't really had the time to take a class pertaining to "How to Hack a Computer," "Hot-Wire a Car," or even "Cooking for Chumps."
Brief Backstory: Manny had nothing to lose. He was not particularly happy with life. Depression had hit him pretty hard; every day he went out disappointed, or glum. People can admit it was hard for Manny to crack a smile; people were starting to give up on him and expected there was no hope. They called him a lost cause. Manny couldn’t help it, but he was left alone to deal with his depression.
Manuel was not sure what to do next. He started treating himself badly as retaliation. As things grew worse, he decided to sign his body up for science. A simple job listing he found directed in his email. The email described liabilities and possible death, but the reward would be most satisfying. In both directions, Manny could not see a negative outcome. He signed up and it came for the better and worse.
The experiment had called for the splicing of animal and human DNA while enhancing the genetics. Manuel was of course given a dose of white-tailed DNA; the process was torturing and agonizing. Manny had spat out blood for weeks and had lost his voice due to the constant screaming.
Luckily, God was there with him. There had been an outbreak and he utilized this to his advantage to escape the mayhem. Manuel and a few others had managed to flee the horrible experimentations. Manny did gain a sense of new abilities and skills, but most importantly, his depression was gone.
"You can call me Edward," the pokemon trainer nodded. He shook his head in the direction of the laboratory. "We best head over there now; the lectures might take forever so it is best to get it over with now." Ed began walking calmly down the paved path. He stopped for a moment and admired the labor that had been done to create the proud statue. The pokemon was none he has ever seen before, but it appeared to be tall with giant hooves.
The pokemon was probably not from Johto and must be a legendary. Ed shrugged his continues and walked around the statue and progressed over to the laboratory.
"Whoo, it's becoming a real tiring day. I wonder why this day is offering so many new trainers? It's been days since I've seen this increase of trainers!" Professor Pine sighed in exhaustion; leaning against the wall to support himself. He massaged his throat, "Wow, after repeating the same thing over and over again; my voice might eventually give out."
"Professor, could you please move your pokemon? I'm in the middle of something important and I have no intentions of starting over. I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to have him out around electronics anyway." There was a young woman leaning forward on her officer chair hugging her computer. Her attire was sharp; flashing a buttoned shirt and kakis. The assistant's hair was blonde and tied in a pony tail to ensure it doesn't get in the way of anything.
"Magneton! Magneton!" The creature cried out. It hovered over the assistant; it was basically asking for her attention. Pine wasn't enforcing his pokemon back into his chamber, but laughing at the scene. The assistant tried repeatedly to swat the Magneton, but to no avail.
"Oh, come now, Sylvia! He's just in a playful mood. He doesn't mean to. Also, why are you being so official? You could just call me Uncle Pine." The professor stroked his beard and observed his pokemon annoy his niece.
"Uncle! If he causes my computer to freeze up, it'll be the third time today!" Sylvia whined, swatting the magnetic pokemon away.
"Hold on, Sylvia. It seems more trainers are about." The professor ignored the cries of his niece and looked out the glass wall in the front of the building. The view showed a trail leading off to the dock, it was fortunate as to he could always see the amount of trainers heading his way. Even if there wasn't any signs of newcomers, it was a delight watching the ocean.
Professor Pine coughed a few times. "Time to welcome more youngsters to the Toppe Region."
Rayo was successful with landing the punches. The lighting was ignited and the attacks were a beautiful sight; sparks had flown and the sound of electricity screeching was unbelievable. The luchador felt as if this was surreal, he could not accept lighting was emanating from his hands. The punches against the hound's skin created a surge of energy to be blasted inside them.
The fighter could tell the hounds' were suffering from the electricity traveling through their body. Their blood was boiling from the heat and their bodies began giving off smoke. Rayo could begin smelling the awful smell of burning. The sight was not wondeful, but he was glad the were not resistant to his punches. They collapsed to the floor and kept shaking vibrantly. It was then that all movement had stopped, but the sound of electricity could still be heard from their bodies.
Rayo felt a bit proud, but disgusted. He had no time to view the moment as the gas cloud was traveling down the street and he did not want to become dog chow. The action of leaving felt dishonest; however, Rayo did all that he could by throwing a portion of people on the rooftops. Rayo activated his jumping skills and leaped toward the nearest building.
As he was climbing, he eyed the situation below him. The cloud had showed no signs of stopping and the people just kept getting enveloped. The screams and howls had not stopped. Rayo gritted his teeth and kept going; he figured running away from the cloud and the hounds was the best option. He'll need to figure out how to deal with them during this time.
"It's always great to travel in packs," Edward agreed with a smile. He was happy he managed to make an acquaintance so soon. There was second guesses regarding him making a friend in a few weeks, but the minute he arrived in Toppe? That is surprising. "Don't you agree, Crow?" The trainer turned his head to the side and glanced at his Abra who was still sound asleep.
"Oh, the pokemon hanging on my back is Crow. He's a bit of a sleeper," Ed pointed behind his back and made a complete 180 degree turn so she could get a better look at him. "I'm hoping to already become acquainted with the professor here. You want to join? The introductions usually take forever!" Edward complained remembering the lecture his professor in Johto had given him. The tutorial lessons are given to trainers for their own safety, but they are ridiculously long and tedious.
"I'm about to head over there-" Edward stopped his sentence. He slightly turned his head. "I'm sorry. I didn't catch your name."
Dragon Rayo was unhappy with the results of his heroic act. It seemed like the rush of people was never-ending. He would save one person and two other people would show up. It was madness and the luchador was getting no where. There was a sense of accomplishment deep down for he was saving some of the civilians. He hoped they were not too angry for being man-handled. The options were to be thrown by his muscular self onto a roof or be eaten by the hell hounds; this was most likely the safer option.
Rayo watched the giant cloud grow closer towards him. He decided he had done the best he could and he was going to have to ditch the rest of the unfortunate runners. It was an awful feeling, but the luchador could not afford to be devoured by that cloud. He was about to leave until he noticed three dogs coming straight at him. They no doubt would get a free bite if he turned his back. The luchador sighed, he was about to go Michael Vick on these bitches.
"Beat them and leave afterwards..." He told himself. The luchador punched his fists together; this was the first time he had activated his lightning skills and the effect was beautiful. Sparks of yellow emanated from his hands; the sound of electricity flowing off of his palms was realistic and soothing. The fighter prepared his stance and waited for the perfect moment for the dogs to reach arm's length. Once he decided, he put his strength into his lighting punches. "Let's see if your gas is flammable!"
