Antiquity - A Different Type of God Game OOC
Welcome one and all to the beginning of Antiquity - A Different Type of God. Here you play a god. You have only a small number of followers, thus are limited in what you can achieve at the moment. However, you have immense potential and plenty of chances to grow. As you grow, you must tread carefully for everyone from rival gods to god-hunters, shadowy government agencies to otherworldly monster could come after you.
As a god, you can only be killed by either extremely overwhelming force or complete surprise. At the beginning you are young and weak, thus vulnerable. Take time to grow your power base and abilities before making your presence more known. Remember, society doesn't always look kindly upon those who are different.
This RP works through votes. Each player gets an equal say in the actions taken by a single, shared god, thus discussion and compromise will be extremely important. When I update, I look at all responses and write out the reactions to each post. I'll try to write out compromises, or if things are controversial I'll look at which side has the most support.
This entire page is subject to change throughout the length of the game. I will be keeping stats and relevant information below here that will likely change as we go along.

Rules
1) Just about anything goes. If you all want the god to go on a genocidal rampage I'll (grudgingly) allow it. Your only limits are your imagination and (for a time) number of worshipers. I will allow just about anything WITHIN REASON for your power level.
2) If you have any questions about an action ask in the OOC or PM me before posting in the IC. This is mostly to keep the IC clean.
3) Keep things civil. If you have a serious disagreement over something talk to me and let me know. We'll work it out.

1) Nothing posted in any of the associated Antiquity IC/OOC/Interest Checks reflect actual feelings about real world events, figures, or beliefs. This roleplay WILL likely involve the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam), along with other world religions. Please do not take offense to anything that is posted here. This is only a game and we mean no offense.
2) I'm going to be totally honest, a lot of information will come from Wikipedia. I'm a somewhat-busy college student and don't have time to do intense research about every mythology, religion, and legend. If I make a major error feel free to correct me, but do keep in mind I am molding a lot of this information to fit the game.
3) Finally, I am a college student. My schedule is kind of funky so I may not always be able to get back immediately. At the very least, I will get back to PMs and questions within 12 hours.
