Alexander was praying in the corner when the will was being read. His bronze symbol was in a firm grip in his hands. "He was a good man, but his greed did him in. I can only wish him best in the next life now." he paused after he spoke. He placed his holy symbol back into a special pouch on his bag, and continued, "I will gladly raise my halberd against any threat that terrorizes the land, or any sinner who marks against it." he said firmly.

He started to remember all of what he knew about fighting goblins. His memory was a bit foggy of the top but all of what he remembered. "Goblins.. Goblins.. Why yes, goblins. They are sneakily little things, who use black powder charges, bows and magic. However, by far their most threatening attack is their ability to control fire. Goblins are greedy though and could possibly be bribed off, but you would need to know Draconian."

"I am a bit foggy on goblin raid strategy, however goblins will be a dangerous enemy. We must be prepared. I suggest we alert a town official immediately." Alexander said with a respectful, but almost demanding voice.
Keep in mind, I did that because I was bored. And the wonderful thing about this RP is we can make stuff as we go along. So, if the core mechanic every gets old, we could also expand on it or add new things. But that could be in a week, a month, or never. That is just how open-ended this RP is.

The use of sphere in my suggestion was almost purely to balance it out. If you could say "Well, I create world wide earthquakes for a thousand years and make all my creatures immune to earthquake" that would be really OP. I don't mind if sphere is an important mechanic or not. I kind of like the idea of sphere management so long as it doesn't become a chore.

And speaking of game, this is starting to remind me of spore.
What is their strongest weapon or magic? Can goblins be bribed (Presuming you can speak with them)?
Well, the reason I like interacting with the environment is because I think it adds some depth to how you influence everything. This way you kind of have to creatively uses your influence if you want the best results and it isn't a case of "X dies!" or "X lives!". Like there could be a phenomena called Growth which cases everything to grow/ reproduce much faster in the region. This might help your agenda or creatures, however other entities steps in and abuse your ability for free.
Ok, Alexander is trying to recollect his thoughts and is trying to remember what kind of weapons Goblins are most known for using. http://orokos.com/roll/160640

I hope I did that right.
When are we starting?
Add a bit to my post because I was bored.
Ok, I am bored so I am just going to make a whole system. You can take this how you wish, you can throw it out, you can take parts of it, or you can take it all. So the idea is that there is two types of abilities I am looking at in particular, each interacting in different ways and all based on your entity. The three types would be: Imbuement and Phenomena. We could add more if this catches on. But these are the two most basic types for lore sake.

Phenomena is about interacting with the environment, whereas Imbuement interacts with a certain thing within the environment. For example, if you are an god who revolves around water, one of/or your single phenomena would be to cause flooding in an area so your fishes have more room. (I have a way to balance this) Your imbuement might to be to target a coral reef and increases its growth.

In order to balance this out, in order to cast either of these you need to use some of your influence. The effects last for as long as you're willing to use those sphere to maintain your influence over the area or object. The amount of Sphere percentage you use determines the power of the effect.

I think the system for learning spells is that you must first get them approve by a GM or Co-Gm, and then you have to use 20 of your sphere to try to learn it. After a set amount of time, which is up to the GM or Co-Gms judgement, you can learn it.

I don't know, I am bored. The RP probably would be just fine without it, but I think having the option to have a bit more control. I also think that having control over the environments would be a fun way to more directly interact. You can't just say "I use magic, and kill some of your creatures" but you can create a plague or earthquakes to do it for you, but at the same time, that might hurt your creatures as well or consume lots of valuable sphere values.

Edit/Continuation Another type of ability is Sanctuary. Basically, you may expand X amounts of your sphere temporally to create a structure or something of the like (Like maybe a forest/stone pillar/ etc) and it is a heavy amount at first. (Like 30 up, very possibly 50 up) but after its construction you don't have to pay for it. Sanctuaries are basically areas with continuous on going passives in an area. You pay you did to build it in order to than improve it. Another thing that separates Sanctuaries from phenomena other than how there cost work is that Sanctuaries are full-fledged things. Other entities and NPCs can interact with your sanctuaries. Like phenomena, they can try to take advantage of your sanctuaries for there own goals, or destroy or hinder them if they interfere with your goals.
A few quick questions: Is our spheres at 100? And is there is any going to be any entity progression or just species progression? I think having it so that our spheres gradually increase and having unique abilities could be fun. Though it is just a thought.
