Current Remember my joke theory about how the world ended in 2012 and each subsequent year has just been a layer by layer descent into hell? It feels less and less like a joke each year.

Bro it's so weird thinking I was 15 when I joined here. I'm turning 21 in March. Time is a scam.

@21308 Yes yes yes, all the yes! And oh my gosh, can you not feel all the jealousy she'll be feeling? And she'll be like ' I wanna fuse with you two too!' but she can't because her jealousy prevents her from being able to fuse. XD

Please let these be things.

It seems to give a good enough idea, so it's not that you should avoid it at all costs, just like...Don't take everything for 100% what is said. I'd say it for you, but again, no mic. ^ ^"
@21308 I wish I could, but I took them so long ago and can't access them. Orz

I'll tell you right now that there are some inconsistencies in the legend behind Newroz on Wikipedia, but I'm not sure about the rest. Never had a good look at it ever since I noticed those back in grade 6 when I was going to do a presentation about it, because me and some other kids were sick of the 'Oh yay multiculturalism!' *Only brings awareness to Indian and Chinese holidays, completely ignoring the fact that despite 75% of the school being made up of those cultures, there's another 25% percent from elsewhere that no one knew anything about and were left unheard* ^ ^"

And don't even worry about trying to spell things in latin letters when it comes to Kurdish, no one can agree on how it works so there's about twenty different latin spellings for virtually every word. XD
@21308 Also, can we please call Gilles, Emerald, and Spinel The Nerd Herd as a counterpart to Dork Squad? Please? Let this be a thing?

@Raijinslayer I was looking at some Fordite OCs for inspiration and we must somehow convince Akaya and Kronshi to let Fordite have this as an additional 'power', if only to make Spinel more jealous than she'll already be of them.

@21308 It honestly just reminded me of your stereotypical Kurdish Family moment so I jokingly referred to it as 'A Loving Kurdish Family' or something like that. It's great because the only one aware that I was recording was my cousin whom was in trouble, and he's just staring directly at the camera like *>:(*
I wish I could bring it up. I also had this voice-recording thing back when I still had a mic (it did still suck but meep) back from grade 7 or 8 in the style of the 'sh*t people say to ____' videos, but with Kurds.
@21308 Well, I can't dig it up because my mother forgot the password to her own laptop...Which had the file. It really wasn't much, it was just me pulling off a Gilles and awkwardly recording a very small segment of an argument between my mother and her mother over my troublesome cousin and some sort of misshap he got himself into that I found humorous for some reason, (My mother is super angry while my grandmother in particular is doing this overdramatic defending of my cousin, looked like a highschooler trying to reenact the 'to be or not to be' scene from Hamlet) without anyone noticing until I, jarringly call out in English, "Hi mom."

I can't say I've done too much that educated the group, more so just bring awareness that, "Hi, I'm from the Middle East, no, I'm not Arab, and pretty much every other nation wants us gone, especially if you're Yezidi."
And I'm glad you've decided to do that! Just make sure you know what you're reading because I've seen some pretty...Interesting things written which I know aren't true.

*Cough* Yezidi do not worship the devil *Cough*
@21308 I really don't know how to feel about it, honestly. It's a weird feeling.

And exotifying? I'm happy if anyone even knows what a Kurd is, even if their thoughts on them were along the lines of 'I hope those arsonists burn in the hellfire from which they came from'. Because at least they know about us this way. 'What is a Kurd' is possibly one of the most painful things I hear in my life. Actually, no. 'Where are you really from?' Because as I once heard someone quote on New Roz, which is really depressing considering that's basically the Kurdish New Year:

"There is one question that no Kurd can answer honestly, and that is, "Where are you from?"
For in their hearts, they come from Kurdistan,
But in reality, no such place exists."

I do not give a damn if my nation does not have a proper country to call our own. We are Kurds. Not Iraqis. Not Iranis. Not Turks. Not Syrians. We are Kurdish.

On a much more lighthearted note, I'm going to try and dig up something that I titled 'A Loving Kurdish Family' or something like that.
@21308

I've been away from home for years now*, I know that feeling and there's no worse sickness like it. Hope you go back soon.

@pyromanSorry to hear you're feeling that way, but I'm glad to know you're managing well.

Not so sound self centered, but I hope I feel better soon as well. XD
Hey guys, started feeling sick as hell about three or four hours ago, doing fine and dandy and probably won't be going to the test now because nausea and probably won't be here a lot, if at all. How're you all doing?
