Gilles is such a mess honestly Reggie he tried to get close to what he assumed was a ghost and tried going more close to the Red Eye's track so he could get a better shot of it on camera like.
This kid would greet death incarnate with a great big bear hug and offer a cookie.

The answer

Something else intriguing is the fact that not all multiples of gems seem to share appearances. For example, the two pearls look vastly different, as do the diamonds. And we're told Amethyst is quite the runt. And we have seen that gems can alter their appearance upon reforming; perhaps this unity of appearance is another part of homeworld culture, pushing on the idea that certain gems are all the same and thus disposable.

And if rubies were so disposable simply because there were many...Imagine a gem like Talc or Soapstone, or heck, even Eve if you ignore the fact evenkite is rare. Oh my god. I feel kinda sick thinking about it.

The answer

I'm not big on romance but dear god that scene was just awesome. Animation and art was gorgeous. Love love love it. And the humming of 'Stronger than You'? Good stuff.
I'm always a sucker for learning about gem history and actually getting to see it was great. And Blue Pearl, as everyone's calling her, is gonna keep me on end forever. Also along with being very mysterious and speculation provoking, she was really pretty and damn that's kind of a weird thing but I love her design a lot and when I feel like drawing I'll probably draw her.

She's a Pearl, and she's just witnessed a renegade of her kind and fate being completely warped by Ruby's actions. There's something awfully sad about her prior to these events. Would she be envious? Or would she show disdain? Could she try to change her fate in the future? Who knows what's up with her.

Lapis's trail of bubbles as she took off to Homeworld used to be my favourite piece of animation in the series. Now it's this.
God I loved the artstyle for this episode so much, the contrast between Earth and the Sky Arena just...Oh wow I loved it.
And that (presumably) Pearl that belonged to Blue Diamond? I swear there's something important about her since she was drawn in detail, and I just can't wait to find out what. Any ideas? Lots of theories floating around.
I also love how Pearl was feared, that...That was amazing to me, honestly.
