Current Remember my joke theory about how the world ended in 2012 and each subsequent year has just been a layer by layer descent into hell? It feels less and less like a joke each year.

Bro it's so weird thinking I was 15 when I joined here. I'm turning 21 in March. Time is a scam.

Well, we've seen Peri cry, but at the same time, they were stuck on Earth for a while, so *Shrug*.
Bleh, sorry I haven't been here in four days. Was feeling more out of it than usual, but I feel good today.

@pyroman Is Sodalite in the temple still? I just need to ask for my next post.

@21308 Is the plan with Gympsum still a go?
@21308 I just liked because I

Don't know how to words right now.
I feel like I should lie down and cry.

No reason in particular.

But damn I'm too tired to embarrass myself more with this shit.

How's everyone?
@21308
I'm sure she won't. Thanks Spinna, gonna send this to Saarebas.

@21308 He made no promises but he said he'd try. I'll let him speak on his own behalf.
@Akayaofthemoon Heya Akaya, hope it's not a bother but could you post the summary of events again? Saarebas wants to see it.
@21308 Well, in my honest opinion, though many say otherwise I wouldn't recommend a parrotlet for a first bird. Like, at all. Quieter, small, and less messy (the least messy birds I've dealt with!) put aside, they're still closely related to amazons and unlike cockatiels with cockatoos, their big bird attitude is definitely still there, and their beaks aren't anything like a tiel or budgie bite. Budgies, linnies, and tiels are great first time birds (I feel bourke's are a little too skittish and asocial for most first time parrot owners), but I would hesitate with a parrotlet. You definitely could get it as your first but I'd recommend getting to know a few and doings lots of research in advance. The only birds I'd say absolutely no to for first time birds are mawcaws, cockatoos, grays and amazons. I love parrotlets to death but it makes me really sad seeing people advertise them as first time bird choices (Same with green cheeks) because I don't believe most first time owners are prepaired for what they entail. I've heard many first times struggle with even budgies and their the most popular and commonly kept parrot in the world, and considered one of the easiest to care for.

And oh my gosh, I'd love to meet your goat one day if you get them. I'm really, really fond of goats. Maybe it's a Kurdish thing.
@21308
Well, it's not like quiet(er) parrots don't exist, and lots of other birds are quiet! Small parakeets (linnies, budgies, and bourke's come to mind) are very quiet, as are parrotlets. I've heard cockatiels, especially females, can be quiet but I'm not sure if that's true since the only ones I handled were in a group of three (named mohawk 1, mohawk 2, and mohawk 3, I kid you not) and obviously much noiser and messier. But I'd rather their whistles and shrieks over the shrieks and screaming of most birds. Lovebirds can be pretty loud despite what I've heard people say, and Greater Vasas, pois (Eg; senegals, meyers, red bellies, brown heads), pionuses, and some smaller conures are quiet through most of the day generally, but can be pretty loud at others. I heard pionuses are particularly quiet of this group. And most African grays adapt to the noise level of the house, but most I've known weren't very quiet.
But yeah, having a cockatoo or mawcaw when it comes to noise is a huge no-go. And I'd highly discourage people from owning them unless they're very experienced, and have the time, space, money, and tolerance for these birds.

As someone who's had both goat and sheep milk (and hates cow milk), sheep is definitely better. Sucks it's not available here in Canada. And goat wool is definitely more comfortable. Maybe it's different here because in Kurdistan all goats I knew were super friendly...Probably because they've lived alongside us for a very long time both as food and companions, and even in present day there's still many nomadic goat herders. Most sheep I've met are really cowardly though.
@21308 Well, they don't shriek constantly, but when they do...Yup. And the videos don't do it justice. You have the experience the ear popping, piercing shrieks in person to really understand it. Though nowhere near the extent of these guys, even my little Green Cheek can make quite the shriek, and is far louder than most of his kind.

I've been around lambs forever, and my advice is get a goat instead. Seriously. They're pretty social and sweet unlike lambs and they're just so much cuter...Not to mention I've known a few who'd act like cats. Or maybe I'm just biased because goats seem to really love me. Goats, parrots, and lizards have always seem to particularly like me, though most animals in general do. Except dogs.
