My work schedule just completely changed for the worse, so expect me to be less active, unable to run my own RPs, but I should hopefully be able to keep myself in other people's RPs.

Jack, Castle Tepes

Jack followed the others into the depths of Castle Tepes, admiring nearly everything. When the former torture chambers were noted, Jack became even more on-guard, eyeing every nook and alcove suspiciously. When they entered the Eye's chamber, Jack was awestruck. The giant gem was beautiful to behold, and Jack could almost feel the power radiating off of it. He knew this would be one of, if not the, most important mission he ever took part in. He thought to himself for a moment, then cleared his throat to gather the attention of those present, once it was appropriate to do so. He then bowed before saying "Seeing as how we are all highly-trained, deadly individuals, I have realized that the hardest, and arguably the most important job, will be to hold the guard position here, in the same chamber as the Eye. However, if things go exactly according to plan, the person positioned here will receive no chance to fight. This is why I would like to humbly volunteer myself as the guardian of this chamber, if only to ensure our most skilled and valuable fighters will be at the forefront, and able to completely participate in the coming battle." He bowed again, then stood and waited for replies.
@ClocktowerEchos The ship is closest to the Halberd-Class in terms of appearance, and the main cannon is very similar to a MAC Cannon.
@Elitestpotato@ClocktowerEchos Captain Stirling was examining their every option in the battle at hand, and making sure everything went over smoothly, when both Alice and Officer Sans addressed him. He first replied to Alice "Go ahead and activate your EWS, we'll need every advantage we can get to make sure we get a complete victory out of this." He then addressed Sans' question "Suggestion noted, Sans. Alice, you heard him, have the majority of our weapons target the lower hull and engines, but keep a small amount focused on the bridge, to ensure we completely take out their control over the ship." He sat back a bit, slightly eager to see how all this played out.
@ClocktowerEchos This RP's closest comparison is Halo, but with tech right around the onset of the Human-Covenant War, with the exception that our ships have shielding.

@Warrior in the Shadows Accepted, expect a rank PM
Sadly, I'm gonna have to drop out of this one. Hosting an RP, and being in two others has become a bit too much for me on top of work.
@ClocktowerEchos The Captain knew exactly what file Alice was referring to, and sighed before answering. "Should we? Maybe. But will I, no, simply because our only orders were to engage the rebels and protect the planet. Now, this does not cover anything UESA Intelligence chooses to investigate during or after the battle, which will most likely be the thing you are referring to." He glanced at the control panel to his side, then keyed the ship's intercom "This is Captain Stirling. We are about to exit hyperspace into the Sotra system, which will be an active combat zone. All crew report to your Battle Stations immediately, and all Marine Dropship and fighter pilots prepare for immediate take-off. Marines, your officers have been given the detailed versions of your ground engagement orders, but the summary is this: Defend the capitol city of New Portland from any and all rebel ground forces. Captain Stirling out."

He observed the main viewscreen as the ship slowly dropped out of hyperspace, and into the Sotra system. The battle had already begun, and it wasn't long before the Convergence of Destiny was engaged with a rebel Frigate. "Fire Rifleman missile pods A1 through B5, and the main cannon. Have half the fighter squadrons begin strafing runs on the enemy, while the rest guard the marine dropships." He keyed a button on his command console, giving the dropship pilots their launch signal. Stirling looked to Alice and said "I want you to make your best judgments, and assist in this engagement both up here and on the ground, but notify me before doing anything drastic."
@ClocktowerEchosIt all depends on what she attempts to do. He expects her to assist in the ship-to-ship combat some, but not for her to take over 100% of the way.
Just a heads up: I'm about to bring us into the battle with my next post.
@ClocktowerEchosThis is fine, just note that it would be a one-of-a-kind scenario. Also, one thing I wanted to specify: Marine and ship weaponry is still ballistic-based, so things like laser rifles or particle cannons are a no-go.
@FPR Accepted, expect a Rank PM. Just a general note, I'll be closing the applications for now from here on out.
