Been busy lately, courtesy of the guy who thought that it was a good idea to have 3 assignments and a test due in the same week.

Bio

Anyone remember the period a little after guildfall, when the site didn't have a lot of work put into it, the servers went down pretty often and people were moving out? We waited and waited until boom, Mahz made America the guild great again. That was about where I left off.

My mistake was trying to take on everything at once (and being cringy as hell but I mean come on). Well now I'm back, and better than ever.

And I'll be damned if I let anything get in the way of having a good time.

Question. Pokemon outside of generation 1 aren't allowed but what about pokemon moves introduced in later games? For example, steel type pokemon and steel type moves were introduced in generation 2 and hence should technically not be included, but in Firered there are steel type moves like steel wing. Are they going to be included in this RP or are they to be excluded?
"I bet he could wait." Stephen thought idly.

The black haired boy was loud. And touchy. He'd come close to touching Jim, though Jim had made it clear that he didn't want to be touched. Though, it might've been okay, because the black haired boy wasn't exactly bad. He probably had good intentions, at least. He couldn't imagine someone so casually petting pokemon to be that bad, though his mother had said he would be surprised.

Stephen covered his mouth to stifle a creeping yawn, a gesture which Jim mimicked on his head. He'd woken up early, though he hadn't meant to. Who wouldn't be excited for an adventure of a lifetime? He glanced towards a certain blond haired girl relatively close by as he shook off the aftermath of his sleep, with Jim parroting his movements. He knew that Wynne would be excited, though knowing her, she probably tried her best not to show it.

Stephen glanced around himself some more and Jim settled down on his head. He was certainly nervous but he was mostly bored waiting. All sorts of trainers of different shapes and sizes dotted the front of Professor Oak's pokelab. It was surprising to see so many people in such a humble town, though it was somewhat more surprising that the weird old Professor Oak was so significant. It was quite difficult to wrap his head around that one because he'd always that Professor Oak was just a goofy old man.

Stephen stood up on his toes to get a look at the pokemon professor's lab. Unfortunately, while there were certainly people in the crowd ahead shorter than he was, the majority were taller than him.
"Hm..." Stephen hummed frustratedly.
He lowered himself back to the ground and sat down on his stuffed pack, settling on the rugged surface, and continued watching the loud black haired boy.

He found the boy a little odd, though he wasn't entirely sure why. Perhaps it was how at ease the boy was in the whole thing. Stephen was less nervous than others because he knew professor Oak but the boy didn't seem nervous at all. And Stephen thought that he could see scars here and there on the boy's arms which added mystery to the boy. Stephen was concerned as to why the boy had scars, though the boy seemed perfectly content with them.

Stephen felt Jim tilt his head to the side quizzically and he knew that Jim was wondering why Stephen was staring at the boy.
"It's nothing much, Jim." He said out loud. "Just... Bored, I guess."
The spearow shifted his body in what amounted to a shrug and settled down once again. Stephen let his head rest on his hand as his eyes wandered the slowly shifting crowd. There were certainly others about as unique as the loud black haired boy, many strange new people with bright eyes and aspirations, many people that were in front of him.

Stephen's eyes slowly began to close with weariness. He'd woken up really early and was a little tired from the excitement. His body relaxed and he began lightly dozing.
Ok. I'll see what I can rustle up.

Someone please answer me, am I too dirty minded to have read this sentence and thought that Thomas was admiring something else about that dog?

god damn it
"That's not really the point." Thomas said quietly. "Did you see that dog?"
He glanced back at the great shaggy thing which was practically drooling all over the floor.
"Look at it! There's no way he could've snuck that in." He said as he turned back, his eyes blazing with interest. "I need to know what it's for, and I'm pretty sure I would've been fine."

But then he heard the sleeveless boy's reply and he sighed as the light faded from his eyes. He covered his face with his hands as he massaged his eyes while Emma gave him another option. It was tempting, honestly, to just let her go and do something else, but this was something he had to face. As a man.

"Pass me that." He said grabbing the outstretched ticket. "I needed to talk to you anyway."
He held it up in front of him in his free hand and started reading it.
"Could you... Let go of my arm already?" He asked Emma.

@KoL
I'll be posting today, sorry for the delay.

Ey, that rhymed :D
Feel free to lurk as much as you like. And those of you who were accepted, feel free to post your characters in the characters tab.

Oh yeah, me and Renegade did a friendship thingy with our characters, so you might wanna check that out. Though renegade hasn't been on since then.
Name: Stephen Nevet

Age: 13

Trainer Class: Bird keeper

Physical Description: Stephen is a reasonably short (150 cm) and rather light mischievous looking young boy sporting an almost literal bird’s nest of brown hair and innocent bright green eyes. His face is somewhat average, neither round nor thin, and his facial features are somewhat small. He typically wears an assortment of shirts and pants, and sometimes jackets, though he normally goes without the jacket as he dislikes sleeves. What really sets him apart from others is his thick bird keeping glove and his Spearow which often sits on his head. He is pretty much never seen without one of the 2, if not both. He normally has a neutral expression and is often lost in thought. But sometimes he breaks out in a mischievous grin, often when he’s about to do something someone told him not to do.

Personality: Outwardly, Stephen seems to be quiet and docile child. He's certainly quiet but he's by no means docile. He talks little but when he does, he is quite blunt. He's also very curious, often to a fault. He's the kind of person who touches things to see what happens. Those close to him see him as quite reckless as he often explores his curiosity without regard for others, but this isn't the case. Stephen has never been alone since the day he was born and he was always surrounded and taken care of by strong pokemon. In the presence of those he trusts he acts recklessly because he feels that they will be able to take care of him should something go wrong. His faith in those he trusts is unshakable but he has trouble trusting those who don't open up to him, those he doesn't know, and is withdrawn around people he doesn't like. He does trust rather easily but isn't exactly stupid and only truly trusts people he really likes. Should he be found anywhere without someone like that around, one would find that he would almost be a different person. To Stephen, friends are like siblings and he easily gets along with people he likes, everyone else is viewed neutrally. As a general rule of thumb, if he's talking to you he's taken a liking to you.

Background: Stephen is the child of a free-flying bird keeper and a quiet pokemon breeder who sought to leave the hustle of Saffron city. They married and moved to the much quieter Pallet town so they could “spread their wings”, so to speak. Because of their love of pokemon, Stephen was raised with pokemon as his siblings. He had a plethora of smaller siblings, a direct result his mother’s zeal in breeding pokemon. He didn’t have many older siblings, however, because they were his father’s pokemon from his own trainer journey. As a young child, Stephen was naturally inquisitive but quiet, a fairly dangerous mix. But Stephen had a minder by his side, his trusty spearow Jim. They were quite a dynamic duo getting into trouble neither could get into without the other. This changed a little bit when Stephen met Wynne. One day, while he was playing with Jim on the outskirts of Pallet town he met a young(er) Wynne who had become lost. After guiding her back home they found that they were neighbors, even if Wynne was only there every summer. They became friends and got into shenanigans together, though it was usually Stephen getting them into shenanigans and Wynne usually scolded him for it. Those were the best times of Stephen's childhood as he had few human friends on account of making little effort to reach out. This situation changed in Stephen's 12th Summer. Wynne had become much colder and had put some distance between them. She obsessed over being more mature, and Stephen wasn't entirely sure why. He still considered her his best human friend, as close to him as an older sister. Her actions confused him but he knew that the Wynne he knew was still present. With Stephen turning 13 he was prompted by his parents to start his pokemon journey. He agreed. However, he wanted to go with Wynne so he opted to get a pokedex from professor oak first and follow her so that they could get into shenanigans like they used to.

Pokémon: Jim the spearow. The result of his parent’s spearow warming up to each other, Jim was born at the same time Stephen was born. They grew up together and Jim likes to think of himself as Stephen’s big brother, even though he’s prone to the same tendencies as Stephen is.

Inventory: 2 Oran berries and a packed lunch. 1 normal pokeball he got for his birthday which he considers lucky. 1000 pokedollars and a bag of basic camping gear, and clothes.

PC Stash: None
I kinda feel bad because all of the characters were so cool. :(

Good luck on your future endeavors, guys who didn't make the cut, and thanks for having me Maxwell. Let's see if I can meet your expectations.
Alrighty, got Stephen's personality to be a little better in my eyes. Dunno if it's alright but I'll be gone for a bit.
