Been busy lately, courtesy of the guy who thought that it was a good idea to have 3 assignments and a test due in the same week.

Bio

Anyone remember the period a little after guildfall, when the site didn't have a lot of work put into it, the servers went down pretty often and people were moving out? We waited and waited until boom, Mahz made America the guild great again. That was about where I left off.

My mistake was trying to take on everything at once (and being cringy as hell but I mean come on). Well now I'm back, and better than ever.

And I'll be damned if I let anything get in the way of having a good time.

@Nukoduke Don't make the same mistake I made to read the entire IC. Took longer to get through than Fist of the North Star.

Nice Username, by the way.
The not hurting thing only counts in safe zones, right? So whether or not Hellflame dies depends on his hp and defenses. And I'm pretty sure the ones attacking are all outlaws or something
Aw man
The puppet master's metallic visage revealed nothing as he looked down on the streets of the black city from his vantage point, the same one he'd used earlier to spy on the Eclipse Princess. He observed the carnage from the window, snapping a screenshot of a particularly interesting battle, though it wasn't as if he had the eye of a good photographer.
"We're going to need one of those too." Thomas thought.

But as he watched the scenes of battle, screens appeared in the skies of the black city conveying the orders of the black king. Next, more orders from an apparently influential figure in the sweepers, one that he'd seen before. The puppet master's face betrayed no emotion but inside, Thomas's mind was in a whirl.
"Shiro, hm?" He thought.
Eclipse Princess's invitation was directed at the boyish avatar and Nyx, and while more people showed up than anticipated, it was highly likely that the avatar on the screen was tha avatar of the orange haired boy.

Recognition aside, the plot grew thicker. The blue guild was allegedly attacking the black guild, and while Thomas would've loved to see that too, he wasn't entirely sure he should. There was definitely more going on somewhere and he wanted to check out behind the scenes, maybe get some answers. On the other hand, if he were to consider the journalism club, they would definitely want coverage on the battle.

Thomas thought for a moment, before the video feed cut off. The puppet master flexed his fingers in preparation to use a skill. He'd traveled for a little while and his skill was now ready. He opened his hand and pointed it towards the ground, using puppet creation to cause a metal puppet to emerge.
"Let's do both." He said to himself.

3 metal men emerged from the entrance of the black guild building. 2 split off to follow the commotion heading towards the black guild gates, one walked in the other direction and disappeared into the back streets.

@No one in particular I guess
@Kimiyosis I've yet to take a profession for either Nyx or Phantom Regality. Someone kill me now, but I may have to consult the many skills of Runescape to make a selection.

Yep, I play a grind-fest while I roleplay a more interesting grind-fest.

...

This is my life.

Runescape's good though. Make Nyx a lumberjack, I dare you.
Yo, which post had the game updates on it? And also, what time is it in the IC?
fk, I wanted the 555th post but I forgot. Damn it
Thomas's journey was rather uneventful so far, which he was glad for. It gave him time to think and finalise his plan. Not his assault plan, because that was quite simple. He was sure he knew the reason the conflict began, though his theory wouldn't explain how it blew up so suddenly and so quickly. He had some suspicions, so he had to investigate. When he got to the city he wouldn't have to worry about normal players, though there may have been outlaws here and there if the updates he'd been given on the situation were entirely correct. Nevertheless, all he'd need to do was get in, investigate and get some screenshots.

Instead of his assault plan, he was thinking about his plans for the journalism club. There were a lot of things it needed to pick itself up again. It needed manpower, it needed contacts, it needed lots of things.
"One step at a time." Thomas thought.
He needed the manpower first. He wouldn't be able to rebuild it back to its glory days, but he could change the foundation. It would grow over time, even after he graduated, and it would come back. He just had to take it slowly and carefully, and if he did he could ensure that it never disappeared again.

Thomas was taken out of his thoughts by the a familiar flapping of wings and a wailing voice.
"Harpies." Thomas muttered under his breath.
The infamous newbie killer, the dreaded harpies. They were aerial based with a form of crowd control that was difficult to defend against and they were often encountered in packs.

In short, they were rather annoying.

Thomas was beginning to feel drowsy from the harpy's song. He drew his sword as they closed in before silently commanding his puppet to shoot at them. They dodged most of the shots but one of them was clipped twice and disappeared into a small pile of xp crystals.
"..."
There were still 4 more, and his puppet didn't have that many bullets. The harpies's songs grew in intensity and the puppet master held his head in an attempt to stay awake. He staggered a few steps before collapsing on the ground, his puppet following suit. The winged women came in for the kill, their voices becoming deeper and more insidious as they approached. They swooped down to the prone figures aiming their claws at their vulnerable forms.

Suddenly the metallic forms sprang up and spun in the air, blades lashing out at the feathered targets. They dropped to the ground as the xp crystals fell to the floor.
"Looks like I was right." The puppet master said at last. "Sense share makes it easier to resist."
He shared his hearing with another player lowering his ability to listen to the harpies and making their ability have less of an effect.
"Didn't think it'd work out so well, and you probably can't hear me anyway, but..." Thomas said as he picked up the crystals. "Thanks."
He terminated the skill as he picked up the last of the crystals. (+200 XP)

"Well, that was a pleasant diversion." Thomas said, stretching his arms above his head.
His puppet stood silently next to him and Thomas liked to think that it agreed. It hadn't been affected at all by the song of the harpies but he'd made it fall anyway to fool their AI. There were a lot of useful things he could do with his puppets, though there were a lot of things it couldn't do as well.
"Let's get going." He told it as he began walking.
The puppet followed him silently.
Stephen couldn't blame Professor Oak for pushing them out, because he knew that the professor was very busy. He was sort of worried for the professor because he looked so tired, though Stephen reasoned that the professor was old and had enough experience to deal with it. So instead of worrying about the professor he switched his attention to the pokedex, or rather, the pokedex manual.

The pokedex was certainly a complex machine but the manual made it somewhat harder than it needed to be. Stephen quickly thumbed through the manual which was full of technical terms he neither understood nor cared for before coming to the pages he wanted.
"Let's see..." He muttered under his breath.
He pressed the on switch on the side and the pokedex screen suddenly began to glow, startling Tim and bringing a small cry of surprise from Stephen. He quickly lost himself checking out all of the features of the pokedex, surprised at the utility it gave him.

There was only one filled entry, Tim, his Spearow. Stephen found this odd so he checked the manual.
"Only pokemon you've caught fill the pokedex, huh?" Stephen read.
He also noted that if he saw a pokemon then he could look at it in the pokedex, as proven by the Tangella entry being available, though it was empty as he hadn't caught one yet.
"I don't have Wynne's Charmander though." Stephen thought.

He surmised that he had to see it when he had the pokedex, which made sense since the various pokemon he'd seen in the morning and his family's pokemon weren't in the pokedex either.
"Hm..." Stephen hummed thoughtfully.
Suddenly the Bulbasaur entry became changed its status. Stephen lifted his eyes away from his pokedex to find that the odd scarred boy had brought out his chosen pokemon. The boy declared his intention to fight and the gears began turning in Stephen's head. Tim moved excitedly on Stephen's head but Stephen didn't want to fight the boy. Instead, Stephen quietly made his way to Wynne's side and began whispering to her.
"Hey Wynne," Stephen said. "Why don't you fight him? I'm pretty sure you'd win."
I'll try to get a post up soon
