I do like the quiet life. I'd much rather be cleaning up the office than on these errands. You seem really sociable though.

I’ve been deprived. This is the first normal conversation I’ve had of my own volition that doesn’t explicitly involve me trying to get back home in… Long. So long.

I guess you'd eventually need another cat.

*Lets out a mild wheeze*
You definitely trend more toward introverted, don’t you?
<Snipped quote by Magnanimity>

Yeah... a cat... Then that becomes a pretty nice "live out the rest of your life comfortably" sort of situation.

I doubt I’d want to spend forever like that or anything.
<Snipped quote by Magnanimity>

That almost sounds like it would be nice at first... especially if you had a cat to keep you company.

I wish I did. Would have made things so much easier.
<Snipped quote by Magnanimity>

How'd you find food?

In the ships. There’s so much down there, they were kitted to feed huge crews for extended periods. Imagine being the main character in an apocalypse movie and you walk into a grocery store that is completely untouched.

*Looks back into the snow*
What's the scrapyard?

Where I lived for what I learned to be close to a year. Just a graveyard of dead warships left over from the war with Existence.

*Turns my head and locks eyes with you*
You’re a real optimist, Robyn. A ray of sunshine. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Oh, uh… Thanks. Might just be by necessity though. I’d have gone mad during my time stranded in the scrapyard if I wasn’t.
<Snipped quote by Magnanimity>

You would think, wouldn’t you?
*Sighs*
Above my pay grade.

You sound fine to me. Could also just be that your boss like, actually cares for you. So they want you to have a place to be and a purpose.
<Snipped quote by Magnanimity>

Yeah, until they figure out that robots are cheaper.

If the job were replaceable by robots, surely that would have come to pass a long time ago.
<Snipped quote by Magnanimity>

Maybe it is. But I'm also replaceable.

Honestly, based on everything I’ve seen? Seems like there’s more job security in that than being at the bottom of the barrel in the pool of people who want all that power. Way more of them.
