Late to the encounter, Magio and Agni arrived just to see everyone.

The barrier from the other side broke too, thanks to Necrox's consecutive Gae Bolg barrage. He and Anna walked first towards the library and soon saw Lilly, with her back turned to both sides.


Necrox: Hey, Lilly.

Lilly: ...

Anna: Princess Lilly, please look at us.
Lilly: No... I don't have the courage to look at anyone anymore... I already knew the barrier would shatter somehow, but even still... I had hope.

Necrox: Before anything, your Fate changed a lot, I can tell that. Is it my impression or your Chain grew stronger?

Azure: Umm...

Necrox: Anyway, let's say both sides reached the same conclusion and we're heading in Etoile Sirius to confirm. Oh, and we have to walk. Flying around the castle is kinda not possible.

Liebea: So, what happened for you to come in this state?

Anna: I went to the hospital to visit Princess Lilly and then on the speakers came the news that she had fled the hospital. In the state she currently is, roaming around alone is dangerous. I informed everyone and went searching for her on the Spring Zone. However, even after going through the entire zone, I was not able to find her at all. Since I was too far from the school to rest a bit, I came here.

Liebea: I see...

Anna: If only I had a minimum clue...

Liebea: Then, I have one big clue. Or... the answer.

((OK long abscence I can't be forgiven for this and I have no excuses except that this last weekend I went on a family trip and I had no internet whatsoever ANYWAY MOVING ON WITH THE STORY!!))

Spring Zone: Dream Castle Stairway

Anna walked through the stairway. She was crushed, physically and emotionally. She ran through the entire Spring Zone and wasn't able to find Lilly anywhere. She even walked slowly, weighing herself with guilt.


Anna: (If only I was a better servant, she would not have suffered anything. More and more, I am unable to find myself useful anymore. I wonder if I should keep going with this...)

Soon, she reached the main door. Before she could even grab the handle and push it, it was opened by Liebea.

Liebea: Oh, Anna. Welcome back.

Anna: Good afternoon... I guess...

Liebea: You do seem tired. Something happened?

Anna: May I go inside first? I will feel better if I explain it while I work.

Liebea: Well, there is no reason for me to say "no".

She entered and Liebea closed the door. Back to the stairway's beginning, Necrox landed on the grass field and looked right at it. He splitted up with Magio as they were going to the school.

Seraph put Celeritas back into its scabbard and walked to the others. Agni landed on the ground and soon joined them.


Seraph: At least, we're considerably fine.

Agni: Yeah. Sheesh, he's going to be more problem than what I have thought...

Seraph: With no doubt. By the way...

Seraph walked towards Melody, who made her piano disappear and descended to the ground.


Seraph: Who are you?

Melody: O-Oh. Umm...

Agni: She's... well, a traitor.

Seraph: A traitor?

Melody: Before anything, let me present myself fully well. I am Melody Pianissima, pianist of the Toadstool Royal Family and servant of the Toadstool Triplets.

Agni: So, we have two traitors. But where did you find him?

Seraph: I was doing a search for clues about Peach's movements in the warehouse used to store the creatures we fought in festival and I encountered him there.

Sentinel: Sir Seraph had told me about you all. I will be honored to give all the information that I have, even if it will just complement what Melody has to speak.

Anna: I was unable to find her here... Agni, I am scared... worried... I am almost breaking into tears...

Agni: C-Calm down, OK? I'm sure she's somewhere and we'll find her.
Anna: I... I know... but... but...!!

Agni: Look, I'm searching out for her here in the Autumn Place. If I find her and even if I don't, I'll give you a call. But please, don't go panicking so soon. It'll be only worse.
Anna: I... I will try. I will keep my search.

Agni nodded and turned off the call. He gave a hard sigh.


Melody: Is... something wrong?

Agni: I... didn't wanted to say it, but... I'm searching for Lilly. She decided to flee the hospital out of nowhere.

Seraph: In the condition you told me that she is, it's not good to have her running around town.

Agni: I know, I know. The others are already doing a search for her in the other areas. Problem is, we don't have a clue.

Sentinel: Sir, I may not know much about it, but I might have a clue.
Agni: What clue?!

Sentinel: Think about it. Which is the safest place that Princess Lilly knows and the only place that everyone would go and would not go search for her at the same time?

*BGM stops*

Kana: Do you know?!

Agni: Damnit, why didn't I thought of that before?! It was the obvious place from the beginning!!

Sentinel: We will stay behind and inform them what we know. Sir, you should hurry before something happens.

With a whistle, the Warp Star went back to him. He jumped on it and departed to the Spring Zone, back to the school.


Agni: (God, there wasn't anywhere else for her to run without being caught! The only safe space is the space she owns... her own library!!)

Magio gave his hand to help his brother get up.


Magio: I'll ask once again. Can I count on you?

Necrox: ... kh...

Magio: What's so funny?

Necrox: Idiot. I never said I gave up.

Magio: There wasn't any need for words.

Necrox: Heh.

The two smiled at each other. It was like they reached a conclusion. In the end, it's under danmaku that they mainly resolved conflicts. Unreasonable as it is, through bullets they said a speech.

And then, a dark fireball grazed on Jin's face. It came from Agni, who was right beside Seraph, as the two jumped in.


Seraph: I suppose you don't mind an addition to the group, do you?

Agni: You know, people who mess with my friends end up on the hospital. And I'm not in for just standing while you hurt them, you bastard!

Agni: Black Infusion!!
Seraph: Archangel's Excelsior!

Agni covered himself in darkness and immediately disappeared in the ground. Holding Celeritas on his front, Seraph's four wings appeared for a brief instance, as they gave him a brilliant aura to help him with movements. Soon, Celeritas had transformed from a western sword to a katana once again.


Seraph: I had already seen your proficiency with this type of weapon. But let me see if you're truly fast.

With fast movements that the human eye couldn't possibly accompany, Seraph started shooting light slashes at Jin. Then, Agni leaped upwards right at Jin's side, while he smiled. And as he went upwards, he turned, aimed his gun and started to bombard Jin with dark fireballs.


Agni: Melody, do your magic!!

Melody and Kana flew to the other hunters. She called her piano and began to play it.


Melody: With all my pleasure! Music Sign "Benevolent Aleggro"!!

With a soothing melody, Melody started to heal the injuries. Compared to Polaris, her healing skills were mediocre, but she had some use other than that.


Melody: And an encore! Music Sign "Selene's Lullaby"!!

With another play, Melody raised everyone's defensive stats. She was more of a buffer than a healer, but she had her uses.

Skies above the Scarlet Devil Mansion

BGM: ANiMA still playing

Soon, the Spell reached its timeout. Magio and Necrox met eyes once again. And the scarlet moon grew more and more. The devil unleashed his final Spell Card in hopes of defeating his brother.

Necrox: "Scarlet Despair"!!

Following his previous patterns, Necrox shot a bubble to the sky. However, the bubble didn't exploded. It began to shot danmaku in the known "Boundary Between Wave and Particle" style. Magio started his evasions and shot Necrox. As time passed, it began to shoot knives alongside the pellets. There, Magio took one hit.

Magio: Gah... this is getting absurd.

Necrox: Then give up.

Magio: Never! I will never give up!

Magio kept shooting and soon, other bubbles came down as well. This was the final part.

Magio: I will... reach you now!

Necrox: What the- AAAAAAAARGH!!

And Necrox was defeated. The sky returned to normal and the scarlet moon disappeared.
