@malmshodes Thats a sweet sounding fruit. I can imagine it would suit him a lot. He can sick someone to assault his enemy and than from the shadows to negate a ability of skill rendering the person more less helpless in front of the assault the employer got.

Hm.. how about he can negate as long as he watches what he is negating. So watching a devil fruit user he can negate the devil fruit ability as long as he sees them? *wonders if going with this idea of having to see, if the video snails would be a weak link as he could sees people over a monitor?*

Yeah basically, but maybe not a skill. I figured the fruit would be able to negate anything except for living things. So like the fruit couldn't stop someone from performing say a sword slicing technique but the could negate the force or cutting power.

I hadn't thought of seeing. That could definitely work. I kind of thought of it as more like Law's fruit. He'll have a box or a field of his own, and with a snap of his fingers or some other kind of activation could create the negation.

Halfway through the ship there was a blast of noise that was able to momentarily out-loud her wolf's barking, panting, and general excitement. Instincts kicked rationalization aside, and she was running down the halls of her ship. If not for the continuation of Fenris's barking and general pestness she'd have drawn her sword and started cutting through inessential parts of her ship to get to the heart of the matter. "Damn it." The woman stopped, and forced her hand away from her blade's handle. "Someone's going to get shot one of these days. I just know it." She shook her head, and hoped for her friend's sake he'd shot through a window, because any holes in her ship were going to be copied onto him like a voodoo doll.

A moment was taken to gather thoughts, calm the blood before she continued to meet her chef and get something to eat. She could eat anything right about now, but a salad was probably the wiser option. Last time she had a chance to eat anything her heart desired motion wasn't possible for a few days, and going anywhere more than eight feet from the john was dangerous. There was just some things you didn't want happening on a ship, especially since they didn't really have anyone for janitorial work. "Maybe maintenance" she said as she began walking again. "Whose in charge of that?" Her head was pounded and the lack of sleep, along with too little food in her system, was causing all the faces and names for most of the people to blur around into some kind of freaky potato head with too many eyes and far too little noses. She bit her lip and willed everyone's image to straighten up or she'd make them walk the plank.

Abigail stopped a few feet away from the kitchen door. She could've gone in, but there wouldn't have been much point in doing so. "Hmmm?" The razor thin eye brow arched high on the left side of her face and her arms crossed in front of her chest. "Let's see here." Five fingers opened up and started counting down. At three fingers Fenris came in and sat down by her side. At one the dog was smiling just as wide as his mistress. When there were no more fingers left, everyone was out of the kitchen, and into the mess hall with her.

"There's nothing wrong with my sleeping, Simona." The Captain said with a smile, getting ready to have a seat. "I do it when its needed, and put it aside when its not. There's nothing wrong with that. It's the way nature intended us." A short pause. "Oh, and as far as intention goes, Angelo, Please tell me you did't add any holes to the ship this morning. We're going to be off in a bit, and I don't want to have to postpone that for repairs." She turned her attention to the rest of the crew, smiling still. "I trust everyone else slept well, and didn't do any damage to my golden bloomer? Hopefully Fenris didn't wake anyone up too roughly." She petted her animal until the chef mentioned someone new. Her other eyebrow arched and her attention shifted to the drunk man. "Fresh meat?" She tilted her head to the side and stepped over. "Hmmm?" She sniffed the air and wrinkled her nose. "I don't know anything about any fresh meat, but this bit surely doesn't seem too appetizing."
Hey, I think I've got an idea for the employer's devil fruit.
I call it the no-no Fruit! I haven't figured out how it works exactly, but its ability is it allows for the user to "negate." Basically it stops thinks from working like he can negate forces of nature, or turn off someone's devil fruit altogether. Of course, the one thing I know for sure is he can't negate two things at once.
@malmshodes
***The only thing is maybe a few more characters are needed.

i can add one-two in the crew of the moody beavers, and maybe a person from the locals or two? Will do it probably for the weekend.

***Question, and I'm sorry if this is too early. Are all the places we visit going to be unrelated, or is there going to be some kind of patter?

Its not early at all. Seeing I mentioned the 3rd island already XD Well I am more leaning to half random. As in there maybe 2-3 stories that connect several island over our adventure but in between there are some random island. Pretty much like one piece it self. If you ask if we can have the same islands as in one piece. Absolutely, just the people have to be different.
The next island story/events could be made by you or Jangel and what you two find interesting. But of course its not a obligation. All hail the plot bunnies.

*** I can kind of see the Employer as someone like Blackbeard, kind of a low(ish) level person now, but we'll see more of his strength as things progress, possibly due to the devil fruit he's going for. Also, was there a devil fruit effect you had in mind for this, or is that still being planned out? I'd be happy to help if you'd like.

No plans as for yet what the devil fruit should be. I will gladly take the help, especially inspirational are the recent one piece chapter where there are words about awakening and Luffy saying. ''Its like he isnt a paramecia anymore''. I find those hints extremely interesting. Maybe at a later date we can use it. And yeah he can be a persona that is pulling the strings. But I wouldnt want him to be the only string puller.

***I'll just put this here for now, and if there's anything that needs changing I'll do it after work and then post it in the other thread's IC section :)

You know....I luv you for preparing the IC post XD Just I was a tiny bit confused. She is searching for a crew? Maybe it would be better she already has the whole crew. Because of the people backgrounds, each of them added at the end how they joined the crew too.
The last one who joined was the navigator-Kazuma and he suits your first post perfectly.(if the flyers Abby put are asking for a navigator, for example.)

<Snipped quote>

Maybe put what you wrote in italic call it a flash-back and make it the day after or even better the same day on which your post is happening, but evening just after Kazuma joined?
It would help with all the other bios and how they imagined they joined the crew.

And a question will we consider how Angelo joined the crew in this thread as cannon for our roleplay, or not? And... can Simona be the second one, first being Angelo, who joined the crew? So our character know each other for the longest? XP But I must shamefully admit the only one who has not 'how I joined Abby' is my character Simona. I should probably work on that...

Something I noticed when re reading the profiles, Nautilus bio, mentions a employer, here is the relevant passage.
<Snipped quote>

It makes sense that the scout Simona found the slave ship and telling her captain they freed them. Simona would even give a good word for Nautilus to join the crew, explaining he didnt know that it was a slave ship. Adding he was having a good heart.
But the employer he mentioned, do you think we could connect it with our ''Employer''? Obliviously Nautilus wouldnt have a clue untill its revealed. Or would it be too much of a stretch? Seeing the ''Employer'' is in grand line and this happened in one of the Blues.

I've got some ideas too, but its late and I've got a 6AM shift in the morning. I'll try to have some up by then.
Hmmm I've got an idea for a random island, maybe. I don't have time to do it now, but lets just say its sort of based on that treehouse of horror episode of the simpsons were everyone acted nice because Bart was always watching. ;)
What devil fruit are you referring to? I mean the one with LUffy saying its almost not like a paramacia at all?
lol Actually I just assumed our three characters already knew each other. So yeah, ours being the core three works for me :P

I could see the employer as being the same person. AFter all, he doesn't strike me as the type to have anything against slavery. As for the likelihood. Remember he's the kind of person whose able to move up quickly, professionally. So its not a stretch for him to be one place and then doing something else a little later.

Sorry if I missed anything important. Kind of rushing it here :P

First post in the IC. Sorry if it seems rushed, but if you get the feeling it was that was because it was. Let me know if anyone sees anything that needs fixing.

The small village's streets were still empty, not that they were every anything close to busy, because the sun had yet to make its grand appearance, and it was a Sunday so nobody wanted to be up before noon. Two exceptions to this was a short redheaded woman with a rapier on her hip, another sword strap across her back, a flintlock pistol at her side, and a 200 pound grey and black wolf with different colored eyes which made the rest of her armaments appear mostly superfluous. In one hand she carried a bag with rolls of parchment sticking out. The other held a bottle of glue with a brush inside. Every so often the two would stop at a wall, door, or some other surface which lacked a poster, and one would be put in its place, because she liked to be sure of a result and couldn't think of any other way to tip the odds in her favor.

The contents of said poster were as follows:
One red skull with two pairs of crossbones underneath, a few inches apart which some thought looked like a par of pom-poms; a fact the lady in red refused to comment on.
Beneath that there was a simple statement requesting someone with capable navigating skills who didn't have a problem with sailing with pirates or finding their lives suddenly thrust into dangerous situations where death could come from any of the regular sides plus above and below.

After each paper the wolf would whine and the woman would tell him they were almost done. This wasn't true until there were no more notes in her sack. AT which point she agreed it was time to pack everything up(not that there was anything to pack) and told the canine to lead the way to the ship. There wasn't any shops open yet anyways. Might as well get things ready for sailing even if there was no guarantee sailing would be done today.

The ship wasn't too far. Ten minutes later and they were on board, surveying everything on the deck which wasn't too impressive. It was almost disheartening. There was the sound of a clearing throat, and hands were placed on slender hips. Don't worry, they were her hips. You could tell because they were attached to the same mass as the rest of her and there weren't any bloody screams because someone had just gotten their hands broken in two dozen places. She called out instructing everybody to get to the top. Nothing happened so she tried again and the lack of change was almost palpable. The furry beast at her side looked up and grinned. The woman pretended not to notice.
"They're still asleep, aren't they?" She sighed. The dog only panted as a reply. "Well come on then. Let's get everyone up." Her pet yelped in excitement and hurried down below deck, barking excitedly so everyone would know the day was being wasted and if they didn't want to wake up on the floor it was time they'd better start standing up or at least have some sort of cushion to be waiting for them, as the ship's floors were hard enough to make you instantly fall back asleep.

Captain Abigail stopped half way down, listening to the barking. A smile appeared on her face, or a grimace pained with the need for some sort of sustenance. "Oh. Fenris should be able to get everyone up by himself. No point in bothering with that. I better get some breakfast before a line starts. I'm sure the cook must be up by now."
I'll just put this here for now, and if there's anything that needs changing I'll do it after work and then post it in the other thread's IC section :)

Last night seemed to have gone on forever and even once infinity was reached it kept on going. The damn thing just didn't want to stop. It clung to the walls, and images of the tiny village desperate to keep itself from pushed away again to wherever it was nights went when the day came around and threw it out on its ass. As tenacious as the black ink that covered every surface, but for where the torchlight kept it at bay it couldn't hold against the morning light and the gentle sea breeze it floated in on. With the new day came new images which had not been there the day before. They were simple images, pieces of parchment with a picture of a red skull and a badly drawn bit of a yellow colored lady's undergarment below, and the words "The world will change for those who won't bow to the blunt force of the world's Government" and instructions on where to find a ship, in need of a crew about to make sail for the grand line.

A young woman with long red hair, and a sword at her hip and one strapped across her back was the first person on the ship. It was only natural she'd be there before anyone else. It was her ship after all and she was its Captain. She stood with her arms across her chest, ignoring the currents of air that continuously teased her hair. At her feet there was a large wolf sitting down at her feet, and giving the look a father would give a child that's kind of overdoing it. His worry wasn't without merit. There were already bags forming around the woman's eyes. Her eyelids looked like they weighed a ton. The canine whined and Abigail rolled her eyes. "Later, tonight maybe. There's no time to sleep. I've got to be ready if anyone comes to welcome them or tell them to shove off." Another whine. She smiled. "Let the others sleep. They've been working hard." One more whine. "Yeah-Yeah. So what? I'm the captain. I've got more responsibility. Besides, posting the flyers wasn't too much. It was the glue really." She pinched the bridge of her nose and then rubbed at her temples. "That stuff always gives me a headache."

Seeing that there wasn't any further point in carrying on the conversation the big wolf decided to hit the hay. The dock, despite its lack of any true marine presence was as peaceful as anything was going to get, and he'd here trouble coming even from below deck before Abigail did. So with one final grunt he turned and headed down into the cabin to take a long nap in Abigail's bed.

"Come on Town give me some good ones." The red head muttered under her breath. "No flakes please. I'm not a babysitter."
The island looks cool jangel! XD I like the idea~

***Maybe we could start with our characters waiting at the dock, hoping at least a couple of people will respond to the flyers they put up for a crew?

Sure~ on the dock setting sail for the greatest adventure yet XP~
Good you arent on a cellphone alone anymore XD I dont think time is so much as a problem as long as we start it Friday or Saturday. Those are usually good starting days. *nod nod*

***Also, should we only play the characters we make, or should each of us be allowed to take over each others characters, if the "owner" falls behind or isn't able to post?

I am all for NPC being shared between us. NPC are story tools so its only fair to be shared. If a character is important to us we can explicitly mention it that we want to be only one using it.

Okay Sharing the creations of enemies is good , But here are some elements I suggest as in enemy story plot.

The first island weather makes lots of ship came to their end before their even came to truly even see the Grand Line. The shipwrecks are like a little treasure boxes waiting for the first one to claim it.

The Moody Beavers pirate crew is searching for a specific ship. A ship a week ago found its demise. They know the ship was a trading ship, it was officially transporting goods from the sea folk to sell and trade with the locals, and quite a bit of gold and money all the same from the things the traders sold on the islands they pass by. Unofficially on the ship was one man doing shaggy businesses. A powerful devil fruit.

Unlucky as it was the storm took the traders ship and all its gold and goods with it. How the Moody Beavers crew knows all of this? They were told, and all but paid a heavy sum to find and retrieve the fruit that wasnt officially on the ship. Anything else they find in the wreck is theirs to take, as long as the fruits gets safely deliver to the contact man, just another motivation from their ''employer''.
''Employer'' was the nick name everyone of the crew called the man they did several dirty jobs for.

The ''Employer'' Is a navy officer who is stationed on the 3rd island of the grand line. He is a corrupt man and has a love for manipulations and gossips. Which he uses extensive, just as much as using marine funds to pay for his dirty work to be done by small pirate crews. *profile comes after*

The Moody Beavers crew arrives on the island on a bad windy day. Asking some locals for direction or to get a guide. They are rejected because of religion. Maybe its a belief that they shouldnt go on that day in the sea as the ocean god is upset. The pirates blow up and started to assault the locals to get them to corporate. Because a bit of fear surely will change their believes. The locals start to fight back, somewhat, but around this time our crew arrive.

NPC

Role in the story: The captain of the pirate crew Moody Beavers, trying to obtain a devil fruit from a shipwreck for his ''Employer''

Name: Jordan Beaver
Age: 34

Gender: Male

Appearance:

Just has big front teeth making him look well like a beaver. Carriers a big cleaver.

Personality: Moody, to a point a wrong word from someone even himself can all but switch around his mood. His crew learnt how to deal with the man. Say teeth in any contents and he is in a blind rage, on polar opposite mention apples and he will all but cheer up and want some apples. //This can be easily used against him in fights
He isnt the fastest but he is more on the strong side.
-------------------------------
Role in the story: The marine officer stationed on the 3rd island navy base. Is the ''Employer''. Pays pirates to do his binding in the shady department and dealing with his dirty work.

Name: Iziya O'curropt
Age: 29

Gender: Male, looks girly.

Appearance:

Just in the marine uniform. Uses guns if he has to fight.

Personality: He is where is he now because he tricked and destroyed the ones opposing him. Well its was more of unfortunate pirate accidents that got rid of nasty people in his way. Avoids direct confrontations and is quick to flee out of situation who put him in danger. Enjoys messing with people heads and making them believe things that go into his hands. Has a great control over his emotion and is not scared to use any means to get what he wants.
Including the few occasionally cross dressing he did to seduce and tricks higher ranking officers into sharing their secrets, which became their ruins later on, before they got wasted on alcohol and sleeping drugs.
He likes to present himself as a smiling innocent and live enjoying man.

AWESOME! This is all coming together really well. :)
The only thing is maybe a few more characters are needed. I mean there's at least nine players, and we've got three potential enemies so far. So I'll start brain storming while at work and hopefully I'll have a few more npcs to put up when I get back.
Question, and I'm sorry if this is too early. Are all the places we visit going to be unrelated, or is there going to be some kind of patter? I mean, is there someone in the background manipulating things, or is everything truly random? I can kind of see the Employer as someone like Blackbeard, kind of a low(ish) level person now, but we'll see more of his strength as things progress, possibly due to the devil fruit he's going for. Also, was there a devil fruit effect you had in mind for this, or is that still being planned out? I'd be happy to help if you'd like.
Also, I know its a bit early, but I've got some time to do the intro post, and probably won't later as I've got school in the morning and then a full shift, so I'm going to go ahead and write up the intro post. :)
Yes we surely should start working on the enemies. *nod*
I wonder where @Jangel13 is?......I wonder if he unsubscribed of this thread.... before he heard we are using it as discussion board.

Elem,
Hm... I think we have a bit of time I assume maybe 2-3 rounds of posting before we reach the island. You know we would start in front of the red line watching in awe, and before we set sail to it all the crew is present on the ship. It would be a fitting introduction.

First question who should make the opening post? Should the honors be yours captain?

Second, I think the 3 of us will need to be the one who push the plot, by adding things other react to in our own post. I say this because a lot of times people get stuck with conversation between characters. It does depends on the rpers....but .... We should be aware if the rp is slowing down or being stagnant that we should wth out worry push the story, with any means possible. *nod nod*

Next point The enemies, locals, the look of the island etc. Should we part the work? As each of us makes something of the needed? And should we post the relevant info on here, maybe even make small profiles and such?

Yes...I do ask a ton of questions >.>; I hope I dont scare you away......

Cool! So that's one person on board. :)
I'm thinking of using the other guy I made, the one with the charge-charge fruit, and making some changes with him, make him a marine.
--everyone hopes for the hero but its the villains that make the story *wink-wink*
(Someone needs to make a wink-wink fruit lol)
I think he's on here somewhere. I kind of fell behind the other thread so I'll check in a little bit. Oh, and some good news, I've got a pc again, so aside from work and school there's nothing holding me back ;)
lol Maybe we could start with our characters waiting at the dock, hoping at least a couple of people will respond to the flyers they put up for a crew?
Filtering instructions?
Sure, I can start, but it'll probably have to wait till after work(7PM here(whatever Time zone this is.))
Agreed, to your second point. We'll be the grease that keeps everything moving smoothly. :)
Sure, I'd be happy to help with the natives and culture. I've got some ideas for Jangel's whirlwind island. As for enemies, I think that's something each of us should put a hand in since we'll have to have characters ready to interact with the other players. Also small profiles are a good idea. :)
Also, should we only play the characters we make, or should each of us be allowed to take over each others characters, if the "owner" falls behind or isn't able to post?
lol Lots of questions are good. There's nothing scary about that, unless someone has to reply to all of them by cellphone(not happening.)

im going to try and make a storm island or wind whichever works in the one piece universe.

name: whirlwind island
location: first island in the grand line
image:
description: as the name suggests it is a constant weather island of perpetual storms and winds. under pleasant conditions one would only get a light rain and even the smallest amount of sunlight however when the storms kick up it becomes the hurricane and as a result most passangers to this island loose their ship in the storm if not anchored properly. however despite these horride conditions their are plants and trees their and in a few places that are under a large hill their can be homes that can shelter out the worst of the storms.

(just went with it)

I like it.
Maybe the inhabitants will have close relationships with Fishmen and merpeople?
Also, since there's so much rain the buildings might be in the treetops?
Perhaps a lot of people worship some kind of ocean God?
Also, if there are a lot of shipwrecks there's going to be wide variety of weaponry and maybe devil fruit users since corpses would wash ashore with the fruits still growing out of chests. At leasts that's how I see it.
Thank you! ! :)

That would be interesting since we could have two potential enemies. Maybe our crew will end up going after them for some reason, I mean one they finish on the island?
Also I've been thinking. Maybe we, us GMs should start working on some adversaries like members of the other pirate crew, the military, or the island inhabitants we'll be facing off against.
