I actually practice drawing eyes more often then not, since it was one of my weaker points when starting out.

Over all, thanks for the tips, but I'm probably not going to draw her in that style. It leans a bit too much towards a realistic style then I would like, since I want to make a cartoon/anime style. That, and in general I'm still not quite done yet, so the design might change.
I've already started working on drawing her in an style similar to the sketch in the bottom right.

The hand on hip stands out to me as really well done for the perspective. The mouth, however, seems like it could use some work, and the head seems a bit too tall. I'm not very good at drawing humans myself, so take what I say with a grain of salt; those are just my observations.
